Before you read this strategy don´t forget this: russians in AoE3 are very difficult to play, in TWC they are easy because the are overpowered with the 2nd factory, better eco-upgrades, the fort cards, ... this strategy starts in your hc; you need much eco cards (I mean this which can increase the production of e.g. food). food is the most important resource for russians (they need very much of it and nearly no gold and wood), that´s why take all food-eco cards and only the best for gold and wood. the 1600 food - card will help you, too. I´ll write the basic strategy here:
at the start you send 2 villagers in the middle of the map to build baracks. 1 has to build houses, 1 the church (if the church is ready send the villager to build houses, too) and the last villager has to build a barack next to your tc (that raids can be blocked). I don´t use the indians at the start because instant inf is enough for me the first minutes, I let my exploer build 2 tcs to start booming very fast. after that he can take the tp s. when the baracks in the middle of the map are ready, i build the buildings for cannons and horses next to it. after the vills did build that, i let them build groups of this 3 buildings all over the map (but don´t forget that there is a limit for baracks). send all you villagers on food at the start (I often have 60 vills on food at the start, at the end of a game about 50). the oprichnics are perfect to raid, use them!!! don´t use too big groups of them like some noobs do (30-40 are to much because they are really expensive; 5-20 are ok) better make much small raids then a few big. after some minutes you should have 99 villagers. if u did raid enough and killed your oppenents factories and some villagers, u nearly have won.
to the military: this strategy is a boom strategy that´s why don´t rush or waste much resources (u need 10k food for the villagers). the time is your friend. the raids give you much time because the other player has to block them and can´t attak you very good in this time. try to get a good defence - when your eco is ready (99 vills) you can start to attak. now it is very easy because you have a great eco. use much strelets because they are very cost effective, send some heavy cannons from your hc. now you only have to spam a good mix of units and endless raid - the victory is yours!!!

nice strat
the wy i see it its nice cause at least 50% of yur enemies are going to think you gonna rush caused on your civ russais often rush cause of insatnt inf and opriss NAND cause you build the barrack in the middle ( not to defence) thats why they are going to build not much eco cause they think its gonna be a short game BUT you build eco so you can out-boom them very easay
