    Hunter Epic
Ich hab mal nen Guide gefunden der recht nett ist, hoffe er hilft etwas.

NOTE THAT THIS GUIDE CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE HUNTER EPIC QUEST, DO NOT READ IT IF YOU WANT TO FIGURE IT OUT ON YOUR OWN!!! You've been warned.

    Quest Pre-requisites:
Your raid group must clear Molten Core and spawn Majordomo Executus. He is spawned by dousing each of the 7 firelord runes in Molten Core with the Aqual Quintessence from the Duke Hydraxis series of quests.

You must then successfully defeat Majordomo Executus. For resources on how to beat this encounter, the Conquest forums has a good discussion on it, found here: http://conquest.teamgbu.com/viewtopic.php?t=521

After defeating Majordomo (making him concede after his 8 adds are dead), a chest will spawn called a "Cache of the Firelord." Inside, the leaf can be looted as an uncommon drop (not there every time, roughly 33% I would guess). Picture seen here: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/avatar187/domo.jpg

    Quest start:
After obtaining the leaf, you must travel to Felwood. Here, you must travel to the island in the dead center of Irontree woods. Map seen here with a marker indicating where it is: http://wow.allakhazam.com/cluster/map.pl?mobid=14524&zoneid=1008&size=medium

Once there, walk to the highest peak of the island, and 3 guardian tree spirits will spawn, as seen here: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/avatar187/felwood.jpg

Speak to each one of them and they will all give you a separate quest:

Vartrus the Ancient gives [60] Stave of the Ancients.
Stoma the Ancient gives [63] A Proper Sting.
Hastat the Ancient gives [63] Ancient Sinew Wrapped Lamina

    The Demons:

The Demons are located in Winterspring, Burning Steppes, Un'Goro Crater, and Silithus (listed in order of difficulty; easiest to hardest).

General guidelines to follow for fighting each of the demons:

-You can only get help before the fight starts, never during. Get all your buffs applied beforehand and make sure you have everything planned out the way you want it.

-If you receive any outside assistance during any fight or if any one of the demons gets another target besides you on it's aggro list at any time during the fights, it will call you a coward and immediately despawn. That being said, you obviously cannot use your pet. However, you can benefit from auras or group effects (such as blood pact). I'm not Horde, but I would NOT risk using totems during the fight since they are considered secondary targets.

-Be careful when fighting. Similar to above, things you may not think would be considered to be secondary target include Barov Peasant Caller, Cannonball Runner, Battle Chickens, Dragonlings, Target Dummies, etc. Better safe than sorry.

-The demons stay spawned for roughly 15 minutes until they despawn for 3 hours of real time. If you fail and die to a demon, it will remain up until the initial timer from when the spawn began ends. Due to this, it's often wise to bring a priest with you to not only buff, but rez after a potential failure.

-None of these fights require any special preparation going into them except maybe Solenor. I did the other 3 demons very half-assed and unknowledgable of their abilities and got them all on the first try.

    On to the demons...

    Winterspring, Artorius:

This demon's patrol route can be seen here: http://wow.allakhazam.com/cluster/map.pl?mobid=14531&zoneid=1021&size=medium

This is by far the easiest demon to handle. Unfortunately I don't have a picture of this demon in humanoid form or the Burning Steppes one, but this one appears to be a tauren before you converse with it.

    Strengths:

-Enrages periodically, greatly increasing its DPS

    -Can mind control you

    Weaknesses:

-Easily kited, running at normal speed.

-Serpent Sting does 350% damage to the demon

-Mind Control has a limited range it cannot be casted outside of.

    Strategy:

-No brainer really. Just kite her with cheetah on with serpent sting on all the time and concussive shot it whenever she gets close. Just be careful of random aggro when kiting as to not get dazed. Easiest of the 4 demons imo.

    Burning Steppes, Klinfran:

This demon's patrol route can be seen here: http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/mob.html?wmob=14534

Appears as a male human before being conversed with. This is the second easiest demon encounter.

    Strengths:

-Enrages every 20-30 seconds extremely increasing its DPS, to upwards 2000 damage per hit.

-Runs relatively fast, about on par with Aspect of the Cheetah. Slightly slower if anything.

-After an enrage, all negative effects on him are purged (removed).

    Weaknesses:

-Scorpid Sting makes him deal 1 damage in melee combat.

-Tranquilizing shot removes his frenzied state.

    -Can be kited with Cheetah.

    Strategies:

-One strategy, the one I used initially, was just kiting him for a good long while with Serpent Sting and Conc Shots. I used about 2 or 3 major mana potions, but was never in any risk of dying. Simply pull him up and left on the road toward the Dark Portal where very few people ever go. Kite in there, then before circling back, either scatter shot him or conc shot and turn around and repeat that route over and over.

-The next strategy, and probably the intended one, is to shoot a scorpid sting on the demon and jump in to melee, remembering to keep him wing clipped at all times. Try to time when the enrages are, then before you know he's going for it, wing clip him and run out. After the enrage, Tranq Shot him to remove the enrage status and then Scorpid sting him to nerf his melee damage, and get back to beating on him in melee.

    Un'Goro Crater, Simone:

The demon patrols the route seen here: http://wow.allakhazam.com/cluster/map.pl?mobid=14527&zoneid=1020&size=medium

The demon in humanoid form is seen here: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/avatar187/ungoro.jpg

    Strengths:

-Her little worg pet turns into an elite felhound pet when the encounter begins.

-She also casts an ability called Temptress' Kiss which reduces range attack power by 1400 for 45 seconds and a slow casting lightning attack for about 800 damage.

    Weaknesses:

-Serpent Sting causes a silenced state on the demon.

-Her pet is suceptible to ice trap.

-Her lightning bolt can be interrupted. Nature resist aura also helps reduce the damage of it.

-Her melee damage output is relatively weak.

    Strategies:

-I consider myself a well-equipped hunter for melee purposes, so I didn't really mess around with too many gimicks here. I simply dropped a freeze trap in front of me, Aim Shot the demon, and watch the felhound run into the trap because shes trying to stop to cast. Conc shot her on the way to you and wait until the last possible second to apply the serpent sting before she gets in melee. That way, you have roughly ~15 seconds of un-interrupted melee against her until she can even cast again. After sting wears off, either interrupt her lightning with scatter shot or get back to range and apply another serpent sting. Rinse and repeat. You can use nature resist aura to help reduce the lightning damage, but I chose to just monkey tank her and interrupt with scatter. Found it to work very well. You also do not need to kill the demon hound solo after she dies.

    Silithus, Solenor:

This demon's patrol route can be seen here: http://wow.allakhazam.com/cluster/map.pl?mobid=14536&zoneid=1013&size=medium

The demon in humanoid form is seen here: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/avatar187/silithus.jpg

    Strengths:

-Easily the hardest demon of the 4 by far.

-You CANNOT place a freeze trap off to the side and expect to pull him into it. He does NOT predictably chase you. He frequently stops and fears (disorienting you and causing ~800 damage also) or stops to shoot homing missiles

-The homing missiles basically prevent you from bandaging. They move extremely slow, cannot be targetted, cannot be killed. The spell is seen here: http://www.wowrunes.com/?wsid=23278

-If you leave melee range (ie get further than 2-3 range or so), he uses an instant cast fear spell that also does 700-800 damage instantly, and he can cast these very fast, almost seemingly chain casting. Shadow protection potions do absorb this damage, however, even with greater pots, he tears through them very fast. The spell is seen here: http://www.wowrunes.com/?wsid=23275

    -Seemingly unlimited mana bar

-Melees extremely hard and fast when in "normal" form (described later)

    Weaknesses:

-At first glance he may seem nigh invulnerable, however, he does have some weaknesses and there are a few ways to beat this encounter

-If you use wing clip on him, it immobilizes him completely with "Crippling Clip" for 30 seconds. The spell is seen here: http://www.wowrunes.com/?wsid=23279

-The heat-seeker skulls are not fire when you remain in melee range

-He does NOT cast his fear when you remain in melee range

    Strategies:

-NOTE: Some or all of these strategies may not be intended within the design of the quest by the devolopers. I basically came to these on a trial and error basis. Use them at your own risk or modify them to suit your own needs. I've tried a multitude of strategies, basically straight up trial and error, so I'm listing the ones that worked best.

-The first strategy I had was the most straight-forward one. Using the obvious weakness he had of the wing clip forcing a crippling clip, I immobilized him (with crippling clip) got range, and let loose with serpent sting and all the shots I had. I basically brunted his fears with greater shadow resist potions. This is seen here: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/avatar187/solenor1.jpg

The best I got him to with this strategy was 20%. However, the times I attempted this, I did not have potions on BEFORE the fight started (they last 1 hour), so I'm confident he's doable with this "strategy" if you pre-buff as well as use more resist pots during combat.

-The second strategy is one that I have witnessed work because I asked my friend to test it on another server. I came and watched with success. When the demon starts the fight, he's a bright red color. The ancient petrified bark that the hunter receives giving a little information on the demons mentions the arid desert of Silithus and such, so out of some weird logic, I figured maybe you had to "chill" this guy to bring him down to normal level. That being said, the strategy is basically to lure him into a frost trap, then proceed to get in melee range after he hits it, and force a crippling clip on him. At this point, the hunter essentially tanked him down the entire fight. The demon hit noticeably weaker and slower when his normal color was on. To distinguish, here are the color differences:

    Pissed Off color = http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/avatar187/pissed.jpg

    Normal = http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/avatar187/normal.jpg

This strategy worked successfully and the hunter was able to kill the demon.

-The third and fourth strategies are the "unorthodox" ones that I'm sure several hunters have used, because of the way they described their "hints."

-The third strategy is to group with your friend(s), and have them basically solo the demon with you in group, and have you loot the head right off of it after it's dead. Mind you, however, that the above strategy to take him back to "normal" form is not possible doing this, and they'll have to beat him in his "uber" form, which is a VERY difficult task, for anyone. The best druid on my server, also a friend of mine, attempted this 3 times and ended up dying each time. Each time he used numerous potions, felwood food, elixirs, inervate, everything (notice the obscene amount of buffs we put on him):

    http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/avatar187/solenor2.jpg

    http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/avatar187/solenor3.jpg

    http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/avatar187/solenor4.jpg

Basically what you need to kill him is a class that can melee (rules out priest, mage, warlock) and has a whole lot of longevity (rules out warrior, rogue). What does that leave? Paladin. Our guild paladin, through sheer brute force, 2 potions, a healthstone, a rediculous amount of pre-fight buffs, 2 immunities, 2 bandages, and a lay on hands, was able to solo kill this demon on his 3rd try after having died twice to it:

    http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/avatar187/solenor5.jpg

    http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/avatar187/solenor6.jpg

Leave looting on FFA, and you should be able to loot the head right off him after he's dead. As for Horde? I'm not sure if shamans totems would trigger a despawn, although I'm guessing they would. If that's the case, you'd either need to use the 2nd "customary" strategy here or refer to the next one unless you can maybe find a godly druid that could bear kill him.

-The last strategy I have not tested myself but know people that have (you wouldn't believe how many people came to my server from other servers to discuss strategy). Essentially, it involves a warlock in your group enslaving the demon, then getting it killed. You can do this through dueling and killing it on passive or making it suicide on mobs. Once it's low, release the demon, have the warlock finish it off easily, and have the hunter loot the corpse's head.

I repeat, while the 3rd and 4th strategies may work, the 2nd one does, as well (I watched it with my own eyes), and is recommended for usage because the latter strategies are most likely not intended in the "vision" of the devs for completing this quest. Or in the words of Conquest, "something doesn't feel right about it."

    Onyxia:

After defeating this demon, all that remains is killing Onyxia and hoping she drops the Black Dragon Sinew, as seen here: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/avatar187/sinew.jpg

    Quest completion:

After obtaining the 4 heads, as well as the Black Dragon Sinew, the hunter must return to Felwood and turn in the items to the respective tree spirits that assigned the quests, as seen here:

    http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/avatar187/quest1.jpg

After completing those 2 quests, the hunter is able to form the Epic weapon, as seen here:

    http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/avatar187/quest2.jpg

    http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/avatar187/bow.jpg

    http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/avatar187/stave.jpg

The mature BLUE dragon Sinew from Azuregos is not necessary to create the weapon, only the quiver. The devs intended for the blue sinew to be dropped on the ground after a kill, allowing anyone in the zone to loot it after he dies, but currently it's bugged, only dropping off of his corpse like the Onyxia Sinew.

That wraps up the guide. Use it wisely or don't use it at all if you don't like spoilers. It's here as a reference for all hunters, nonetheless.

Credit given to WoWRunes by Sudo of Conquest, Conquest guild, Hunter's Volley website, various hunters from other servers, and my guildmates for creating this guide. Don't give up, it's not that bad.

    Enjoy.
