Two years ago I had a car accident, I hydroplaned and ass-ended an f150 with my f150.
I was told by the cop on the scene the only injury was a cut on the driver's forehead.
A few hours ago, mr policeman handed me a summons to nj superior court for a civil suit over permanent injuries sustained by the passenger.
God damn fucking clamlicking bitchass.

While it may only have been a cut on the head, he may have suffered internal injuries.
But since you don't know, I'd be going to the guy and wanting to see his medical records, or get a lawyer too. Also find the cop that was on the scene to back up what he said about it being just a scratch.

Hydroplaning is when the wheel of the car skate across a layer of water without making contact with the road, very hard to control the car

An update--
Talked to the insurance company, they said just mail a copy of what they sent me and their lawyer will investigate and talk to them, and report with the results of his investigation. It looks like I'll have little to no involvement in the case, the company said they've dealt with the lawyer suing me before. If it looks more serious, I'll get my own lawyer and demand medical records for myself and shit.
If it looks hopeless maybe I'll ditch to Oz :-P

Most insurance companies here will try to blame you for the accident, even if it's not your fault..they don't expect to win, but they feel the need to try..
