    Tell about your favorite dish to make. Put some thought into it. Boiling hot dogs doesn't count.

    I enjoy my endless cheese lasagna.

    My ravioli, holy shit i make a mean cheese filling and a pasta that is so good. Top it with a spinach pesto sauce...to die for...and it is good cold.

    I make the nicest stew with chunks of steak pieces, lentils, barley, potato (only thing I'll eat potato in). The soupy bit is oxtail soup.

    My husband does all of the cooking, I'm pretty useless.

    I call it a pasta bake, it probably has some real name, but I dunno.

    All you do is make spaghetti bolagnaise like normal, but use short pasta, like the sea shells, or the spirals. Then while you're making the pasta, boil up some spuds so you can mash them up. grate some cheese and stir it through the mashed spud, then put the pasta on the bottom of a fairly large baking dish, then spread the mashed spud and cheese over the top of it and put it in the oven thill the spud forms a little bit of a crust.

    So it's kinda like a shepards pie, but replacing the meat with pasta.

    My mom makes a similar thing. I have a deep seated disgust for red sauces though so I find it disgusting...but to each his own

    I also make really good pierogi's (sp?)

    I make a garlic, extra sharp cheddar, potato filling, and a really nice dough (whole wheat and white mix) my god i miss having people to cook for

    Sander's simple lunch
    - 3-5 slices of bread
    - butter
    - cheese

    Spread butter on one side of the slices of bread.
    Put the cheese on top of that.

    Serve. This dish works well with a sixpack of beer.

    Okay, we need recipes for these things..

    I make Chocolate Fudge to die for,

    and it only takes 3 minutes in the microwave, and everyone thinks I slave for hours over a candy thermometer..

    and I'm not giving the recipe till someone else spills theirs, especially raviolli..

    and if anyone has a good cannaloni recipe, spill..coz I loooove pasta..

    I make gnocchi from scratch, and it's great

    I make homemade gnocchi too , I replace red wine with brandy in my sauce, it makes the sauce heartier and a perfect match for gnocchi :D

    I don't measure for my ravioli.

    First I mix 16 oz ricotta cheese with 4 oz cottage cheese, a splash of red wine, fresh garlic, fresh basil, fresh parmesean cheese and pepper. Then
    I make a flour mountain on my marble slab (a wood cutting board works well too) make a well in the center add an egg or two (depending on amount of flour) olive oil, water.
    Mix with hands until dough forms a ball adding more flour or water as needed. Shape into a ball, coat with olive oil and let rest covered, 10 min or so.

    On a floured surface roll about 1/4 of the dough out pretty thin, 1/8 in maybe.( I am bad at measurements) Keep sheets covered while you roll all your dough.


    Then starting about 2 in down start placing your filing about 2 tablespoons every 2 in. Brush unfilled areas with water (to help seal ravilois) place another sheet of dough on top.
    Then cut out your raviolis, a small round cookie cutter, well floured, works best. Then crimp your edges with a wet fork to seal.

    Place in salted boiling water wait about 1-2 minutes after they float then remove. Serve with your favorite sauce and wine.

    Oh my fudge recipe..

    3 cups choc bits,
    1 tin condensed milk
    1/4 teaspoon butter

    put in a microwave safe bowl, stir, micro for 1 minute, stir, another minute, stir, and keep doing that till it's smooth and no lumps..

    pour into a greased dish, stick in the fridge to set..

    cut into peices and eat..

    You can add nuts, and dried fruit, and marshmallows and M&M's or whatever..

    make sure your bowl and spoon are dry, or the choc won't melt properly..

    Thats it ? Oh you just made my hubby very happy. :P He loves fudge I hardly ever make it though.

    I think I might even like it, I dislike regular fudge its too sweet for me.
