I've been getting crap for years from people saying "It's alright if a commercial is stupid, because it makes you remember it and you'll buy it."
I say bullshit. I have actually refused to buy a product I wanted just because it had a stupid advert. Call it petty, but thats the price you pay for irritating me.
Post a description of an annoying commercial that was so annoying it just pissed you off. You can be as general or specific as you like.
1. I hate commercials involving products with contracts and plans, such as cell phones, in which a person will brag about the plan they got as if they are special and got the plan because they are so awesome... when it's the same plan that everyone gets.
2. I hate dancing dog commercials, especially when it's CGI dancing.
3. I hate Benefiber commercials, where the animal's owner talks to the animal about all the nutrition, in a baby-talk voice. "Look how big you're getting. Benefiber gives you tough bones and muscles. Grrrr!"
4. There is a Honeycomb commercial with a kid with a stupid spiky hairdo and a foot wide mouth. He is apparantly the most popular kid in school because his mouth is large enough to enjoy the big taste of honeycomb. At the end of the commercial he jumps in the air to grab a box of honeycomb in his mouth that I guess someone threw for whatever reason.
5. Kidsbop. Enough said.
6. Commercials that start out with a sexy woman or women and just as you are thinking "HELLO!" she talks about her period.
7. Commercials that assume men don't know how to clean and the wife gets this know it all impressed look when the husband uses a product she suggested and gets something really clean.

As much as I hate their commercials, I love the fact that they are making fun of the generic picture perfect prep style that they have, and popular people still buy their products.
They might as well say "We clothe stupid preps and we know it!"
