I've never had or hosted a forum before, so I'm not sure what makes or breaks one.
Still, the Sandbox is pretty new. And I think thus far, most of the people here have come from YT. And I think some of those have the "YT IS BETTER!!!" mentality/loyality thing going on. I think the key is to get away from YT and maybe get out to another audience?
How, I'm not sure, as I don't belong to any others. :?
In the early days of FF, as an example, only a handful of people were posting regularly. I hope you're not considering shutting it down! :cry:

I saw absolutely no problem with Ben posting everywhere.
At least he got topics going.
I think some may be letting the "mod" thing go to their heads.
It shouldn't matter if you like a person, or if that person annoys you or not.
Ben wasn't breaking THIS site's rules, as far as I've seen.

My own definition on spam is that it's stuff that makes a thread more or less unitelligible. In that case, it should be removed. If not, let it be. But I'm not a mod...

Well I went back to 3 of the forums I Posted in and the links were deleted. Those 3 are the only ones I could remember I think I posted in like 6-7. Anyway I wish I could send out a spam email to people inviting them here

It's going to be difficult to gain membership by placing links in other forums, since forum denizens generally have a certain loyalty to their forum. I have been looking for sites with some sort of 'cool links' submisson, because then the link will be seen by people who are looking for somewhere to go.

if you put a link for the sandbox in the link section of YT you wont get banned
i put one there and one in generals and sander put a few of them on Yt also

I don't think anything's wrong with it... forums generally take awhile to take off. Especially someone's personal forum, no matter how versatile.
Frankly I think it's pleasant knowing all the regulars and being able to keep up with all of the threads.

Lol, well, as far as I know, Dave actually likes me. I even told him who I was on YT at one point. I got banned as that name though, and I didn't tell him who I was after that :P Not that I didn't trust him, I just, decrease the number of people I tell everytime I get banned, then I get confident and tell more people after I've been there awhile, and then get banned again :P
Holy crap, I just typed that all with no errors in under a minute.

BoredOfYou nearly always got banned shortly after revealing his new alter to me. I was getting paranoid that my PMs were being read. Turned out it was someone else who grassed him up.
