Dear friends of the Tennessee Walking Horse !
The series with articles from the Biography of the Tennessee Walking Horse will soon be continued, which delights Herbert P. very much. He would love the article being accompanied by old faded yellowish black-and-white photographys form the good old times. We do not have those, but we work on that.

The weather here in NRW, Germany is great. The training should better be performed outside. UV-Light, e.g. Sun, is the direct trigger for regular ovulation. If you plan to breed your mare - put her outside, at least for the day. Every little paddock is better than a dark stable box.
If you are searching for a stallion (twhnews.com - stallions, gives you a nice overlook): TWHBEA-registered always, but - think of the stallion must be DNA-typed. Do not deal with a stallion only Blood-typed. That´s not enough anymore. Stallion owners: Now its time - send the probe to the lab and don´t forget to send the results to TWHBEA Lewisburg (TWHBEA, Registry, P.O.Box 286, Lewisburg, TN 37091-0286, USA).

During the 2007 EC we had a statement ready to publish, as a reaction to the discussion about the "heavy irons" in the 2007 version of the TWHBEA Europe rulebook. This was a coproduction and we like to thank everybody who participated in that. We decided not to publish it, we did not want to fuel that discussion again.
But we still got comments from friends, saying that we should react and not let "the others" have the discussion alone. We did not do anything, sometimes the silence is the most valuable good. But opting on that opinion will not hinder us to let you know a few facts:
Here we have a nice surprise for the ones who oppose any gait manipulations. After looking onto that picture taken during the IDGM 2007, where all these participated who fighted the 2007 version of our rulebook with nasty articles, rude comments in the internet, called for EC boycott and bad talking about us - these people do not even react in any way to comment on hoofbands used at a show they participated. What a lying-society ! Some of them even filed their forms to attend the German Champiosnships in Bavaria - well knowing that these rules did not change.
You see, there is no need for any discussion an "heavy irons", there have never been "heavy irons" in any of our shows. It´s also not a discussion on protection of the horse, Herbert Pieper brought it to the point: If I start at the EC with a shoed horse, I´m not abusing my horse. No, Herbert, you are not - like every other participant starting there. The last consquence in everything is being the one who has the last word. And thats the essential here, some people couldn´t live with standing in the second row. The only reason -and now the discussion is over, which never had any real reason. Check that out:

The German Championships (open) for Tennessee Walking Horses and Spotted Saddle Horses will be held from May 1st to 4th, at JOSEF´S WALKAWAY FARM, Am Neuhau 17, 86650 Wemding, Bavaria, Germany.
Deadline is April, 15th, please contact www.twhb.de, email info@twhb.de, phone #-9092-967011, fax #-49-9092-967018, mobile #-151-12050366. The 3 judges are Mike Carpenter, Amy Cross-Nance, and Leah Boyd, announcer is Stephen Brown, farrier Jeff Franz, and photographer will be Nick Jacob.
Thursday morning will held the TWH over Fence, Dressage, and Equitation, afternoon Reining, Western Riding, and Waterglas. Friday Model, and Halter in the morning, 2- and 3- Gait classes in the afternoon. Saturday will host driving and Train besides the Gait Classes. Sunday mostly Gait Classes. The detailed program, hints, and the forms you will find at twhb.de under actuals.
There will be a final Class in Englisch and Western as well. The winner will take home a LovattRicketts or a Tennessean Saddle !!! The 3 participants with the longest traveling will be refunded 20 cent/km. Saturday night will have the Live Band "Jonny Lorenz".
