russains very easy i think just age fast in 2 and spam just strelize make nearly no workers on gold only food and wood

or you do some strelets , go to age3 and start booming (great if combined with ship-boom). your uncle plays with this strategy.

I don't know if someone is still interested in that, but this is how I play with Russians :) :
Age up with 14 villagers, only sometimes with 17 if you only defend.
Only collect food.
As Age-up bonus coose 400 wood and send 700 wood in age 2. This should be enough wood for a while. Also send 600 wood and that card that gives you wood all the time (only TWC).
Build a baracks and lots of strelets then of course and don't forget to produce villagers.
If necessary send 13 strelets.
Later you have to start collecting wood and you can start a fishboom with the card for cheaper fisherboats.
The advantage is that you can boom fast and at the same time have a big army because strelets are so cheap.
