    PICTURES/APRIL07: WEST-COAST TRIP PERTH-CARNARVON

    01

Looks slightly patriotic, IS slightly patriotic and even has a name: ANZAC-Day (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps); Perth_

    02

The "Pinnacles" Desert (National Park) near Cervantes, a guessed 250km north of Perth_

    03

    04

Those crazy rock formations were once completely covered with sand and can be up to five and more meters high_

    05

Yeah, that's the Indian Ocean in the back!

    06

    07

    08

I'm still wondering how those buses manage to pass the rocks without damage... well, we managed it! XD

    09

    10

"What an artist..." would Pierre say_ Pff (X

    11

    Sandsurfing!

    12

On top of things: Donnie and me_

    13

Yee-Haw! at the closest beach... have a stunning look at the water's colour ^^

    14

    15

It wasn't exactly that cold... Donnie just tends to get frozen quite quick. Another hundred kilometres further north_

    16

The Dutch. Friends of Pierre with a petrol-swallowing monster of a 4WD we caught up with coincidentally on the way... (:

    17

Probably the most relaxing dinner for ages (Geraldton)!

    18

    ...including just another dreamlike sunset_

    19

    Without further comments. Hee.

    20

"Eagle's Hawk" - Gorge in Kalbarri National Park.

    21

    22

    23

    Flies's paradise! Iiiieks!

    24

    25

One of those notorious roadhouses... and Billabong is probably one of Australia's favorite terms, meaning not more than merely a little lake.

    26

Sunset on the way to Shark Bay (World Heritage Site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shark_Bay)_

"Shark Bay is a world heritage site and a locality in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. It is located at approximately 25°30′S 113°30′ECoordinates: 25°30′S 113°30′E, over 800 km north of Perth, on the westernmost point of Australia. It was named by William Dampier, one of the first Europeans to visit Australia in July 1699. Shark Bay lays claim to being the first place of European contact in all Australia with Dirk Hartog's landing in 1616 and thus the first place of 'discovery ' in a formal and documented manner by the outside world."

    27

    28

Pierre found that goat skull on Shell Beach and it is part of our car, formerly known as "FUCKUP" since Carnarvon (watch out for further car-pictures from now on ^^)_

    29

Monkey Mia at Shark Bay, worldfamous for its "wild" dolphins that visit the beach pretty much every day at least once.

    30

    And here we go...

    31

    32

    33

    34

    35

    36

Enough of dolphins? Well, me too. Those people on here are supposed to supervise the human-dolphin-interaction... some chosen ones of the stunned tourist masses around are able to feed our swimming friends (they didn't let me! /:)_

    37

    38

    Playing chess in paradise!

    39

    40

    41

Nude bathing at Shell Bay, yee-haw!

    42

    43

    Hee. Any comments? (X

    44

The crack in the windscreen, by the way, is about double that long now... and yes, it is scary_

    45

I guess he's doing what you think he is_

    46

Just a couple of miles before our maintarget, Carnarvon (next gallery!). It was the 1st of May and I remember us singing Tocotronic: "Wir haben gehalten - in der langweiligsten Landschaft der Welt..."
