My friend Mellie turns 40 today !!! I´m off work today, but I´ll go there in a few. Some co-workers gave me some money to get the ring from Steve LaRance for Mellie - the one she liked that much when we were in Stuttgart together. So I promised to come over when they gonna have their break. I´m kind of excited about it ... she has no idea that I purchased the ring. Bad thing about it: I didn´t get the ring yet :cry: - so she´ll get a b-day card signed by all of us and I´ll tell her that she´ll get the ring as soon as possible.

It was kind of disappointing! Really!
Mellie didn´t expect me to stop by at work - that was good !!! She thought that I need to talk about me not coming to work this week-end and then realized that my kids were grinning ... and when I gave her the birthday card she knew that she was the reason why I was there. She got goose bumps while reading that she´s gonna get a ring from Steve and our co-workers were all smiling and it was really nice ...
I went to her place after 10:00 pm (she had to work) and some more people were supposed to show up ... her son was still up and there was a strange mood. I asked Ramon what he got for his mom and that was a big fault, cause he "forgot" about his mom´s b-day and they just had a fight about he making a big mess in the appartement, although she asked him to be careful cause she expecting to have some guests right after work. He didn´t care about it and he even had some experiments with a bottle of Coke in the kitchen. She told me something about he was trying to cut the bottle with a knife and he was "successful" - damn, you all know how Coke can make a floor real sticky !!!
Then nobody else showed up and so it was only me and her ! So we got drunk (just a little bit) and I went home early. Now we´ll go out on Saturday and she asked me if I can work only for 4 hours like she does so we can have dinner in a restaurant before going to a bar or club.

I hate that no one showed up and yes I know all about coke - it's one of the stickest substances around - I've had to clean it up many times in the kitchen.

I don't drink Coke anymore. I tend to mistrust anything that can be used to clean car parts - can you imagine what it must be doing to your stomach lining?!

we met up at Mellie´s place and went to a restaurant first. Good food, good wine and good friends - whatelse does one need?!
From there we went to a bar and had some more drinks :wink: - it was lot of fun and we were laughing so much. At the beginning it was only the girls and then Maik stopped by with this Roy guy :( . He seemed to be a nice guy first, but he was proud of already been in lots of trouble with the law and he´s only 22 years old now ... anyway, it was late and it was only me, Mellie, Maik and Roy left and they got phonecalls from friends to come over to some other place. I don´t like this place, cause there are a lot of fights going on and I usually never go there. I had a feeling about that we gonna get in trouble. The place was already closed, but their friends said, that they gonna open the door for us. The owner was opening the door and told us that he won´t let anybody in no more. That was fine with me - I guess, I was the only one who wasn´t that drunk. Roy started to discuss with the guy and then started a fight. He was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo drunk and I knew that it would happen - suddenly there were a lot of guys and Mellie was trying to get Roy out of it, but it was too late. She got in the middle of the fight and some guy pushed her that hard that she felt down the stairs. I jumped over to catch her and made it somehow, but she hit her knee. Roy was lying next to her on the street and finally got some of his brain back. He said: "I´m so sorry, I didn´t want to hurt you! But this guy made me so mad - this ****** (he was using some real bad words)" I was mad and we had to hold him back. I was trying to tell him that he should use his brain a bit more. I mean, if this guy from the bar didn´t want him to come in and spent money on drinks then some other bar will still be open and can sell drinks to us. But soon I found out that it wasn´t about the drinks, it was that he WANTED the fight with this guy! We ended up in some other bar and these friends of Maik and Roy came over as well. Mellie started to argue with one of them about what happened and I was ready to go home. I don´t need any shit like this. I was only thinking about me being in a fight in the age of almost 40 having 3 children back home. I decided that I´m way too old for this. Plus these guys were using some terms that made me think of them being racists and you all know me and can imagine that I really felt being at the wrong place. One of the guys started talking to me - he wasn´t that drunk either and asked me who I am and stuff - he´s never seen me before. He was asking me who is going to bring me home and I said, that I´ll walk back home all by myself. He was disappointed that I didn´t ask him to come with me ... he was nice and goodlooking, but I wasn´t sure about his political attitude and he has some strange tattoos. Mellie let Maik come with her and I know that she will be unhappy again !!! I don´t understand why she did that, because he was the reason why Mellie was so depressed a few months ago ... I hope she´s doing fine - it didn´t make sense to talk to her last night. I only said, that she shouldn´t be doing anything that will make her sad again. "I won´t ! You know me!" and that´s why I´m concerned. She is at work right now and I hope that she´ll let me know how she´s doing tonight.
My resume: it was a fun night as long as it has only been us, the girls !!!

I´ve also put up some pics at myspace from Emma´s b-day party.
We´ve been pretty lazy! She wanted to cuddle with me all day long! And because I didn´t have to prepare any food or stuff, we enjoyed being together! My ex stopped by and Emma was soooooooooooooo happy to see him. She got a new babydoll (she wanted so bad) and she is still playing with it instead of going to sleep :x ! This doll is so funny !!! When I bought it, I didn´t know that she is able to make funny noises !!! You can hear her suck while she is "drinking", she cries, laughs and ... BURPS !!! :lol:
My mom made a cake for Emma to take with her to kindergarden tomorrow and I got some muffins and sweets. Emma is so excited about all this! But our special day is still to come ... I´m kind of afraid of this. It´s been different every year now and I wonder how I will feel about it this year. It´s more her b-day to me than today is.

Sorry to hear about all of the drama at Mellie's birthday party.
I have one friend who seems to start a fight everytime we go out, and I always think to myself, "Damn, we are too old to be getting into fights at our age"! So I know how you must have felt *lol*

Yes, Mellie said that I was totally right to walk away when I saw Roy starting to argue. She should have done the same, but she always feels like holding the guys back... maybe it´s because she was working in pubs and bars for a long time when she was young.

I was talking to Mellie about this yesterday. Well, she didn´t like what happened, but she decided to forget about it and she also said that she felt uncomfortable being with these guys after the fight ... she felt the same way like I did: she got the impression that those guys are right wings extremists and I´m glad that we both agree about not being around guys like this !!!!

I remember seeing two guys go at in down the street from where I use to live - a police car just happened by and guess what - they got disorderly conduct and public intoxication...sort of felt sorry for their girls.
