It is working very good, comes with very much options and easy to use because has a hud, and some other functions.

I´m not sure if anyone knows this DCS2.

Please let me know what you´re thinking about that, or if is possible to change?

You allways can visit, city of Talmont, to see how its works.

    Thanks for your answers..........

After reading this i traveled to Talmont to check it out. and from what i read i like it.

"The DCS2 equalizes all weapons so that no weapon has an advantage over another. It will even set the speed damages for bows so there is no complaining about illegal weapons. The meter also makes splash damage in-effective, so to hit with a bow you actualy have to be on direct target."

i REALLY like it and i HIGHLY suggjest we concider moving to this.

    Cost
THIS IS NOT PUBLICITY / ADVERTISING
i just want to help, and i´m fan of this system.

I´m not sim-owner, but my last information stand was that it was for sim-owner free, the cost for the users are 50-75 L.

It also gives access to webside with statistics, of the sim it is be used, so i could find out which person is best fighter.

    www.dcs2.org

DCS2 is a unique system where SIM owners can create their own combat / role play games. It has been designed from the ground up to be 100% dynamic. It utilizes a backend db and www site to configure the system and allow the players to upgrade their characters.

    Some of its features are.

    • Dynamic configuration
    • Multiple power types
    • Dynamic races/groups
    • Multiple stock animations, sounds and particles
    • It is a universal system so any weapon will work with it.
    • A full featured API for 3rd party developers.
    • Persistent characters.
    • A full stats system
    • 3 different types of XP systems

DCS2 has been tested to be sim friendly and works in high lag situations. Its proven technologies which branch from DCS1 offer the best stability and flexibility that any system can offer in Second Life.

    Users:
Your powers and commands are given and set up for you by your SIM administrators. There are a few commands you might find handy.

    Sim owners:

If your interested in having DCS2 in your sim and being able to make the system of your dreams without any coding. Please contact Dimentox Travanti and we can arrange you to get setup at no cost to you.

    Thanks for support

it costed me and red about 75L, we had just recently tested them in the arena.

we tested them to see the damage properties, and yes ti does an excellent job of keeping weapons on the same power level

ranged weapons of all kinds did 3 damage
and melee weapons of all kinds did 8 damage

as far as keeping speed the same, im not sure, i suppose the sim owner can adjust that, but as far as damage goes, the weapons stayed on the same level.

    DCS2 is simply awesome.

I like it and it is used by many kinds of sim.
    Because it's the best system.

    sales pitch
I went and saw this in action in the Star Wars sim, and I think a lot of what John Doe says about dynamic races, etc. is the reason we need to adopt this. Physicians will be able to actually heal, etc and each sim can make it's own settings for that. Also, the personal website for each player helps chart progress, enforce and track valid roleplay consequences, on and on in the direction of many things that were put on the table on Tuesday. This is an amazing roleplay tool, I think we need to adopt it.

To play devils advocate for a moment it does sound great but how do you get people coming to the city to buy the meter ? I believe in the Sim you wear either the observers if you are and only if you are new to gor or it is the meter, after all it is a RP sim

there are lots of gor sims who use the DCS2.

besides that, sims like Port Cos, Cardonicus, and Laura require anyone who comes there to wear the combat meter they provide.

So i dont see a problem why we cant have our own meter and require people who come to wear it.

    Greetings

Warrior has the others went to pick up the Meter? If so how did they like using them durning training?

    Tal Ubara,

During class last night, we ran test runs with the DCS2 meter.
Unfortunatly we found some bad news.

as it turns out the meter does NOT work prperly with safezone combat weapons. As far as ranged attacks go, the meter works fine. But when using swords and spear, the damage is seems to only register for pushing.

We have found out that for the meter works best and more properly with DCS style weapons.

That being said, changing meter is one thing, but having everyone have to buy completely new weapons is another. It would defeat the purpose of finding a meter that makes all safezone weapons equal.

However, we were informed at the end of the session that there is infact a BETA version of the new Battlezone meter available in Kyna. From when i hear it is goin to do the same things that the DCS does in the terms of equling out weapons. As in keeping damages and speeds the same for all weapons, but being able to work with ALL safeone weapons.

Withen the next few days I am going to have the warriors use the new BZ meter in training, and will compare the new BZ to the DCS2
