Uwe Schwanz (www.uweschwanz.com), who concentrated only on the youngster classes this show, won the most important competition, the Federal Championship Qualifier -he placed 1st in both the preliminary class and the Federal Championship qualifier on his breeding stallion Ferrero Kiss (by French Kiss), which was all the more significant as the Munich event was Ferrero Kiss' first show ever. Viktoria Max-Theurer, the daughter of Austrian Olympic rider Sissy Max-Theurer, was the big and small tour dressage star of the show, winning the Intermediaire I and II, the Grand Prix Freestyle to Music , the Grand Prix, the Nuremburg Burgpokal Qualifier, the Stars of Tomorrow advanced level dressage competition with Piaffe and Passage, and then placing 2nd (with August der Starke) to Isabell Werth (on Satchmo) in the Grand Prix Special. England's Fiona Bigwood placed 4th in the same class.
Dressage darling Anja Ploenzke (www.anja-ploenzke.de) also had a good show, placing 3rd on Chantree in the Dressage Derby with change of horses, a class that was won by Isabell Werth on Waldiano, with Fiona Bigwood on Waldiano in 2nd place and Viktoria Max-Theurer placing equal 3rd. In the Nuremburg Burg Pokal Qualifier, Ploenzke placed 4th before Isabell Werth (5th). In the Grand Prix Freestyle to Music, she placed 5th, then came 3rd in the Intermediaire I with Le Mont d'Or, again before Isabell Werth (4th place with Fuchsberger). Ploenzke also rode Lamborgini to 2nd place in the Grand Prix.
