I just found this forum and, so far, it looks GREAT! Very good information here. Below is a link to my on-line photo album which contains several detail pictures of different aircraft. The ones I think would be of interest for this forum are those of the P-51D and the ball turret.

im sure they will be of use here. im more of a B17 fan so the turret is of most interest to me but i know that others will be studying their beloved P51

Hello Roy,
I'm a B-17 fan myself--not very knowledgeable, but a fan nonetheless. I have some manuals for the planes and a couple of the turrets if you ever need a reference. They are reproductions, but still the same info regardless of when they were printed. Just a note for future reference.
