do anybody know if ALLWEILER hand pump (German product) was used in B-17G in 1944 ?

I just looking into my B-17G part list.
There are no parts used from "Allweiler" manufacturer on this aircraft.
How do you come to this idea ?

I have this hand pump and my grandfather told me many decades before, that he took this one from wreckage of B-17G which crashed down nearby Velehrad, Czech - village I live in - on 7th July, 1944 (first Blechhammer mission). Maybe, he remembered it wrong.....
I can send photo of this pump.

yes, please show some photos from this part. When you can find numbers or stamps on the pump, please make also detail photos.
The "Allweiler" pump was no standart part on this aircraft, but maybe we can find out more when we have photos about your pump.
Do you have more details about the crashed B-17 ? Maybe the serial number, crew list, documents ?
In the missing list of B-17´s there are some aircraft this day, but i can´t find a crash location in Czech this day, only one in Hungary. All other a/c crashed in other countries...
It is possible that your grandfather rembered a other crash, aircraft, or a other date.
We will see what we can find out !

Hi Nils,
yes, I know everything of that crash. It was B-17G (S/N 42-102889) of 5th BW/463rd BG/774th BS, piloted by Lt. Edward Lindbloom. Nine crewmen saved, only tail gunner Sgt. William Mack killed. On that day 463 BG lost three machines, still S/N 42-31684 and 42-31775, both crashed in former Yugoslavia on way back to Italy. I wrote article of it. I can send it to you if you want.
By metal detector I´ve found several small parts of this bomber, some of them are numbered.
Maybe my grandfather made a mistake and pump is not from aircraft.
