Gunslinger - Shotgun / Genade Launcher build
    Build Objective :

    Very large single damage attacks.
    No interest in attack speed.
Stay alive by killing quickly, adding VIT at higher levels to assist survival...

Start with DEX & INT maxed. Other stat not really important.

Put everything into DEX and get a shotgun as soon as possible (base level 14 for the Rolling Stone).

    Skills :

Single Action 5 (will go up to 9 eventually, not 10 - the ASpd increase is maxed at 9, and I might even stop this earlier - the hit bonus is nice, but with high DEX you will hit most of the itme anyway)

Crowd Control Shot 3 (you should be able to one-shot poporing with this quickly)

Full Blast 10 (this is expensive in SP, but does great damage - you can level in GH prison from level 40 : 60 DEX is enough to kill a zombie prisoner in 2 shots with a reasonable Black Rose gun)

Snake Eye 5 (will go up to 9 eventually, but 5 is enough to begin with - I find 9 covers pretty much the whole of my screen and I have other ideas for final skill point)

    Flip Coin 5

Chain Action 10 (no use, but needed for Triple Action)

Triple Action 1 (you can use this with grenade launcher...)

Spread Attack 10 (doesn't do great damage, so ignore at lower levels, but as you get stronger it become worthwhile)

Ground Drift 10 (does fair damage and gives you more tactical options in a fight)

Magical Bullet 1 (by the time you get this you have decent INT, so it is another useful option)

Coin Fling 1 (reducing enemy defence is always useful)

That is a full 69 skill points - including putting single action and snake eye up to 9. If you want more of the single point coin skills, or think you might hunt brute and demi-human a lot, then I'd suggest shaving a few point off the 2 skills at 9 to make the difference.

    Stats :

Get you DEX to 60. Experiment with different levels of Full Blast - I found I was quite quickly single shot killing metalling with level 4, and then later level 2. Geographers are not great XP, due to no fire element until you get Grenade Launcher.

Then simply pile everything into INT for a long time - you can kill zomebie prisoners with 2 x level 10 full blast, and injustice with a level 4 and then a level 10 (unless you have blinkers/adurate headgear it is safer firing the smaller level first as you have less chance of blinding yourself before the second shot!)

I'm looking at final base stats of

    DEX 92
    INT 82
    VIT 59
    STR 1
AGI/LUK one at 1, the other at 9.

This uses every point at level 99. (For the real optimum, perhaps make LUK 3 and AGI 6 - then the job bonuses make LUK = 10 at job 70...)

Job 70 gives +2 INT, for 84 INT which is an SP recovery breakpoint.

Job 70 give +9 DEX so add an AoA and 2 Clever Gloves for 110 (If you can get hold of better equipment then you can shave a couple of points here... Or add 1 DEX more and a single Nimble Glove to free up an accesory slot for the glove of your choice...)

I would plan to get DEX upto a total of 100, and INT maxed by about level 84, then work on VIT until level 90 when you can make use of slotted gloves - which are about the cheapest 'ancient' accessory :D )

I leveled on metalling until level 39, then worked out what damage I could do with silver bullets and moved on to GH prison. A teleport and a heal accessory really help, and be prepared to sit a fiar amount as you build up your INT.

    Equipment :

It is worth spending some money and trying to get lucky over-upgrading your main gun : You wil be using a Black Rose[1] for a long, long, time (Not seen a Gate Keeper even listed on the various iRO and EuRO price check sites yet). I got one to +8 and stuck a skeleton card in for a bit of extra damage and the occasional stu, and this is working fine.

Long term plan is get several up to +10 (this will not be very cheap :? ) and to put some serious cards into those guns - a few racial cards and a skel worker spring to mind... (I said it would cost...). But when you are doing 6k with a shot at level 40 the idea of doing around 20% more does sound worthwhile :D

Other stuff that is really useful is sohee or eggyra footwear. Sitting and waiting for SP is not the most fun part of the game.

Anything that reduces blind chance (though I prefer purple glasses to geek glasses as I can only take looking silly so far... or maybe I should put on geek glasses and grandfather beard and just pretend I am doing Biolabs quests...). Pupa or Roda Frog in the armour (of course that is usefull to almost everyone :D )

Heal and Teleport accesories really help as well, and give you more weight to carry a) bullets and b) dropped treasures than you will have if loaded down with potions.

 One recommendastion I've seen on several fomrums but not tried myself yet is to use fish from Alberta dock fish-seller as a replacement for white pots - the apparently are about as weigt efficent as slim whites, and a whle lot cheaper

    Conclusions :

This build plays somewhere between a magician and an investigate monk. You run out of SP more than you would like, but do have a reasonable base damage to fall back on (but with the low rate of fire spending a lot of time walking backwards away from enemies and then shooting again...

As someone who levelled to job 50 magician once without firewall [frost diver & lightning on argieopes] this seems remarkably familiar ground), so don't try this build if you don't like running away ever.

However doing 6-7k damage at level 40 without anything particularly fancy for a weapon is an intersting experience and I look forward to finding out how well the rest works....
