there should be white paint around the out side the black cross. can you see any sign of it? it doesnt show up in the picture.

    Hi all,

on the wing part you can see a oval service cover (Handlochdeckel). The part number JuN 16410-1R is a Junker Normteil (JuN), this cover must be have the dimension of 160mm x 250mm.

I´m now not sure if this cover was used on other german a/c or on Bf109 fighter.

WNF, please search on the wing part for other part numbers !

    Regards
    Nils

I just have checked the "Normteile-Nummern" of Messerschmitt Bf109 - this parts have the stamp BfN.

Your wing part is not a part of a Bf109, sorry

    thank you!
i can not find other numbers on it and there is no white paint arroun the cross. the first model of the "balkenkreuz" was without white paint, i think white paint was used after 1939 !?

i have spent some time looking at some very good shots of an ME109 on the LEMB and i was about to say that this panel was not from a 109 wing. wrong shape and there is no service cover, you got there first  8)

    WNF

can i call you "W"?

i didnt know when the white was first used. i only noticed it wasnt there and it seemed unusual. you have answered that for me now

    cheers
    Roy

    Roy,

I have written it is not a wing part of a Bf109
It must be a part of Junker aircraft (Ju52, Ju87, Ju88)...

    Cheers

    Nils

perhaps we can take the JU52 away from your list of possibilitys. the wings of the "Tante Ju" were not smooth metal like WNFs part. they were corrugated, as im sure you know already

    Roy,

that´s rigth, it was only an example of Junker planes ;)
