just had to log out for server reboot, (once again)
i went to uthgard forum and saw that the staff had a gathering and they decided to do major changes to the server
some things i understand, some thing i don't (maybe they had to much beer)
one thing i don't get is: why do they ban reskins??? this has no added value to an armor or weapon, just makes the player a bit nicer to look at..
and how on earth are they gonne make the difference between an bought reskin and a reskin they gave for an event?
looks like they descussed a lot of thing and just picked the easy solutions :cry:
if they would put all the time it will take to find players with reskinned stuff and change that, (i hope they will give back the bounty points spent) and put that time into the realy important stuff (like giving my necro the chance to lvl up) or making houses perfect, or .... or....
bah..; i just don't get it, so many things to do, and they are gonne spend all their time in locating players and changing their reskinned items into normal :cry:
what's to say abouth that?

if they do there is a reason. the one i think is possible is that they will give more importance to reskin than avaible by anybody or getting reskin for twinks

I don't want to tell Holzmichel's name... oups.. i did it, but he looks ridiculous.
And when i see low-level twinks wearing such clown stuff in camelot, i everytime
think, there will follow some elephants, tigers and an acrobatic show :P
I think it's not the sense of the good old camelot, to wear such stuff.
I agree with this decision.

afaik are those clown hats available for everyone - they're just normal items...
and with the reskins you normally can only reskin to ToA/Championweapons - so how should you reskin to such lol-items?
and about those news: hmpf.... I wanted to ask for a reskin to change my dragonfire (2h hammer) to a wood hammer...

A lot of nice changes about rvr .
Reskins hmm ...while server was down i was looking how these skins look and which type i will use xD Well i can forget about it now ;p

I think they can - they log everything.... so I think they just have to use a filter in the log db or sth like that

We decided to get ToA-stuff out of the game mainly because of these hib-clowns and because we want to offer reskinned items only at events.
The reskins will be removed by a script and we know who won reskins at events. These people should do a /callgm when the reskins are removed. We will give them these event-reskins back.
