Just today at 9.am in the morning, a shooting incident took place in Helsinki, in the suburb of Heikinlaakso (Omerta might have heard about it on the news). The whole thing started from a simple argument with his lady-friend. The man happened to be a gun collector. In general this might not be THAT rare, but for Finland it's VERY rare. And the important thing: No one died, but 1 policeman and the culprit got hurt; The policeman by a stray bullet and the culprit was shot in the leg because he refused to drop his weapons - an assault rifle and a machinegun (I told you he was a gun collector, big guns :shock: ) - upon coming out of the house.
Now what Omerta (nor any of you I'm sure :D ) didn't hear on the news is that my friend - who I played hockey with on the same team a few years ago - lives right opposite to the house where the incident happened. Afaik his family was evacuated, among about 20 other people. His parents were interviewed on the news on YLE1 (YLE is "The Finnish Broadcasting Network").
To Finnish people this is a rare occasion, and for me it's special because of all people, my friends family was involved.

Oh my gosh... when I first read that, for some reason, I thought it said executed instead of evacuated. :shock:
