Mustapha Mond is one of the world controllers. He was a scientist, who tried to do real science, so that the world controllers gave him the possibilty to go to an island and do more experiments or to become a world controller. And he choosed to become a world controller. But he is still interested in science and forbidden books (which he himself censors). Mond knows both sides of the aspect: he knows the needs of the society of stability but he also knows how it feels to do something different.
Helmholtz Watson
He consciously and openly revolts. He sacrifices his career and agrees to live on an island to become a writer. He is capable of friendship. He sticks to Bernard and John when they are in trouble.
Lenina
Lenina is a flat character and represents one idea – she is an ordinary person in the brave new world who just wants to have fun. Later she becomes a round character because she falls in love with John – this is because her desires (to sleep with John) are not fulfilled. It is difficult to identify with her because she is too superficial.
More about Bernard
After he has retourned from the Reservation he becomes an important person and he turns megalomantiac. He feels great. But only for a short time, then he is again as he was before.
In his friendship with Helmholtz and John he shows human weakness: he is jealous, he boasts, he pities himself, he wants to take revenge and is a coward.
He represents our point of view, but the reader will not identify with him because he is an unpleasant person.
How does Huxley criticise the brave new world?
Some characters criticise this society: Bernard, John, Helmholtz. To a certain extant these people represent our point of view (although the reader will not identify with any of the characters).
From whose point of view is this scene (this story) told?
The author / narrator does not criticize the brave new world explicitly. He even shows this world from the point of view of its inhabitants (e.g. Lenina). The reader will not identify with this point of view because Lenina is too superficial. That is why irony is used. Sometimes the story is told from an outsider’s point of view. The reader is not offered one point of view he can identify with, he must find his own point of view.

Ja der ist sehr gut. Alle Charaktere, Aufbau, Wirkung etc. des Werkes beschrieben. Aber mit Wiki kommt man auch schon weit.
Aber ich bin im mom fast auf dem Trip mehr für die Musikhausarbeit zu tun, den die wird letztenendes gezählt.

Ich habe auch noch nicht viel gelernt und viel mehr wird es auch nicht werden... bin mom nur Kunst am machen, da das zählt... auserdem gehts mir eh nicht so gut...

Japp Dschism, da war ich sogar auch noch wach. Japp, selbst für mich, der ich weder richtig für Englisch, noch irgendwas für Musik und Kunst gemacht habe war so´n komischer Film auf 3sat und mein Buch wichtiger. Und ich bin jetzt nichtmals schnarch. Geiles Wetter!

Äääh, hieß "Netto", war irgendwie Vater-Sohn-Geschichtchen, er Ex-Ossi, kommt mit der Welt nicht klar, Sohn hat´s gecheckt und deswegen Probleme mim Vater. Aber ganz nett, habe sogar zuende geguckt.

An dieser Stelle bin ich gezwungen, nocheinmal das Thema meiner Namensverstümmelung aufzugreifen.
Gestern habe ich TV-Total geguckt.Und Melanie C.( Ex-Spice-Girl) war zu Gast.Sie wurde gefragt,was denn eigentlich das C. in ihrem Namen bedeutet.
Sie meinte das wäre ihr schottischer Zweitname und der hört sich genauso an wie Dschism.Aber das schlimmste ist ,dass dieses Wort in England Sperma bedeutet.
Felix!Du nennst mich Sperma!!!!! :shock:

also ne, habs nicht wirklich rausgefunden worans liegt, aber im Internet Explorer ruft er sie auf, in Opera nicht... wahrscheinlich irgendwo scheiße programmiert oder so... naja also n bisschen verspätet danke für den link.
