I'm sure my opinion is going to be unpopular here, but I've never understood the fuss over Orlando Bloom. I really don't think he's that cute. Now Johnny Depp, on the other hand, is a man to get worked up over! *lol*

ooh mY you girls make me crazy right now
i LOVE ORLI AND JOHNNY!!!!!!!!!!
wel i don't like what orli has become ,wel at least what he is showing ,he's more acting like a start than he was in the beginning ,it could eb cause he has learned to be liek that but i see soem Vanity when i see an interview of him and some arrogancy cause he had some Hit-Movies
but beside that ,he makes great moveis ,he's a good actor ,and one day he will become almost as good as Johnny
Johnny was ,is and always will eb my ultimate actor
i've never seen an actor like him .
he's timeless
i hope he will keep acting till he's 80 y/o
wouldn't mind that at all
maybe for some ppl he won't be that HOT ,but he'll still be an amazing actor which is most important in the end :D
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
evenstar - 21.01.2007, 12:26
Well I think Orlando is a sweety, but Johnny is a real man. I think Orlando still has some growing up to do, despite the fact that he is turning 30 this year!

Johnny Depp is very sexy- but I can't help to think of him doing 21 Jumpstreet!! It just brings back the funniest memories!! Who would have thought that the man who played Freddy Kruger's victim in Nightmare on Elm Street, also the same man who played Crybaby, would become one of the sexiest men, and most respected actors on the planet? WHO KNEW!!

It is kinda weird, right? Just goes to show that it's the ones who constantly reinvent themselves who end up being the most successful at their craft!

Johnny si sp famous ,cause he stayed himself ,he doesn't care about FAme
he doesn't dress up ,he used to wear the same shoes with every outfit for 10 years !!!!

Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end

Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
eddiefever - 01.05.2007, 22:13
ooh ,wel i didn't see anythingw rong to his feet in POTC 1 & 2
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
Idril - 02.05.2007, 15:09
I didn't either, but it's true, that it's not healthy for your back, your feet, your knees, neck, head and your entire body to wear only one pair of shoes.
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
evenstar - 03.05.2007, 06:53
Really? That is interesting. I don't have many pairs of shoes either, but that's mainly cos I have such a hard time finding shoes that fit me properly.
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
Idril - 03.05.2007, 15:36
same here. Going shoe-shopping with me is horror
But I have two or three pairs for school, two for vaulting, one for horsebackriding and I love to walk barefoot, so I think my feet shouldn't be bad, because I have to less shoes
20 days!!!!

*lol* I have a lot of shoes that I don't wear cos they weren't as comfortable as I first thought.
Yeah, I'm just about to buy my POTC 3 tickets now. I'm seeing it in "gold class"! :D
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
enelya06 - 04.05.2007, 13:42
cool, what is gold class?
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
Idril - 05.05.2007, 20:19
All three movies together? awww They do it in some cinemas here in Germany, but no close to my home :(
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
evenstar - 07.05.2007, 05:30
No, we call those "movie marathons". They have them here on long weekends, but they also sometimes do them for trilogies. When ROTK first came out they did a movie marathon of all three films, which I went to of course!
Nancy, "gold class" is like luxury cinema. They seat less than 30 people and you have your own suede recliner to sit back and get comfortable in, with a table between you and the person you're sitting with. They have a cafe style menu that you order from before you go into the movie, and you can even tell them what time you want each item brought in. They even have a bucket to put your champagne in!
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
enelya06 - 07.05.2007, 14:36
now that's my kind of cinema :) We don't have any of those here in Louisville (I don't believe).
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
Idril - 07.05.2007, 17:57
wow! I haven't heard of something like that befoe, but I would certanly love to go in a cinema like that

evenstar - 09.05.2007, 05:09
It's a shame you guys don't have them, cos I don't know what I would do without them now *lol* It's hard to go back to a regular cinema once you've experienced "gold class"! :D

I love Johnny Depp *sigh*
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
evenstar - 28.05.2007, 09:08
Idril, did they dub the movie into German, or just have subtitles?
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
Idril - 28.05.2007, 11:33
they dubbed it into German and I hated the German voices. Can't wait to watch the movie in English
A friend just ordered the soundtrack for me! i'm superhappy now, allthough I feel more or less sick (eggs für breakfast and then a few cookies... no good mix :? )
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
newnativspirit - 28.05.2007, 12:27
I was watching part 1 with a friend I had over for the long week-end. I only got it in English and so I don´t know how Jack´s German voice does sound like ...
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
Idril - 28.05.2007, 13:14
it sounds awful. And so do Will's and Elizabeth' voices :(
But did you like the movie?

1st they said the same thing about orlando Bloom
and teh makers of POTC said ,there woudlnt'eb a part 4 ,but i think that if they earn a lot on Part 3 ,there will come a Part4
like with most movies
but if orli or Johnny will to play in it
I WON'T SEE IT ,NOT WITHOUT 1 OF THEM :x

Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end

You know, I actually think I liked the first Pirates movie the best so far. The second one was great, but it seemed like there was just too much going on. Does anybody else agree?
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
eddiefever - 31.05.2007, 11:46
ooh if you think that ,than buckle up when you watch part 3
cause it's even worse than part2

Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
enelya06 - 31.05.2007, 14:11
most trilogies are like this - the first one is awsome and then the ones that follow are good but not great. There are exceptions to this - look at Lord of the Rings (kept getting better) Star Wars, Scream 1,2,3 (talk about a hit out in left field)
The second was is good (have both 1 and 2 at home) but I may wait until the 3rd one comes out on DVD before seeing it, unless my daughter will let me go with her and see it. Why is it when kids hit their teens they seem allergic to parents - unless it's a shopping trip. :?
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end

I have not seen Shriek 2 but have seen previews of it. I am now waiting for Bury My Heart to come out on DVD - it's going to be shown again tonight and this weekend at different times.
I don't think I'll be able to sit through it again.

So I finally saw POTC 3 on the weekend. It was a great film, but so much going on! Anyway, was anybody else disappointed in how it ended? They certainly left it open for a fourth movie!
I thought Shrek 2 was awesome!
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
enelya06 - 05.06.2007, 14:00
they normally leave some movies open for a continuation. When I first saw the first one - it was a good ending - then they came out with the 2nd now the 3rd. I only hope if they decide to make another one they keep the same actors/actresses.
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
Idril - 05.06.2007, 16:50
so do I. But that could be hard, because rumors say, Keira Knightley wants to stop acting because of the lack of privacy and Johnny Depp doesn't want to be known only as Jack Sparrow. :?

I read that somewhere. But to have anyone else come in and try to portray their characters will just ruin the movie so to speak.

I guess it will be a wait and see. I'm eating my lunch right now - it's cheesy chicken and mixed veggies. It's one of those healthy choice meals...it has some onion in it - I told Linda our breath should knock them dead this afternoon  however we do have toothpaste and brushes here.

well it was tastey and no matter how much I brush my teeth I still have that onion taste in my mouth - I've pepperments here but they don't really help. I think I'll run by the store and get a small bottle of Listerne and bring in. At least it will keep the students away :D

I saw an interview with her on E! News, and she clarified that statement. She doesn't want to quick acting all together, just the big movies for a while and focus more on the smaller/ independent type of films. I think she wants to hone her acting skills as a more serious actress, so that could be one of the reasons. As far as Johnny Depp, he could play a tree and I'm sure most of us would watch the movie.
Idril- have you ever seen "what's eating gilbert grape"? It's a great Johnny film.
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
evenstar - 06.06.2007, 09:48
I can understand that. I think Kiera is a great actress. I enjoyed her in Pride & Prejudice too. I still can't believe she is only 21 years old!
As for Johnny, I certainly would watch him in anything!
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end

(21st Jump Street - was it called like that?)

It's a great Johnny film.
no, I haven't seen it yet. It was on TV not long ago, but at I time when I couldn't watch it :x
I'm going to see PotC3 for the second time this weekend :D :D :D

Idril,I heard that they will do a POTC movie without Jack Sparrow.
:big_aetsch
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
Idril - 27.11.2008, 15:40
That would be absolutely ridiciolous! PotC without Jack Sparrow just does not work!!!!!!!!! They should do one only with him
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
Mela - 27.11.2008, 16:55
Or maybe it was without Orlando??
That would be ok for me.
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
Idril - 27.11.2008, 17:30
I heard a rumour they wanted to do it without Orlando Bloom. I mean, he looks good as Will Turner, but I wouldn't mind if he wasn't in the movie

enelya06 - 01.12.2008, 19:21
I agree he's good but sometimes remaking a movie so many times can hurt actors/actreses by steriotyping them to just one type of character and he has a lot of talent to play many different rolls.
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
Idril - 01.12.2008, 20:12
That's true. But a PotC movie without Jack Sparrow is still impossible ;)
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
enelya06 - 01.12.2008, 20:47
Yea they have to have Jack - they could write off Will and Elizabeth - like they got transferred somewhere....
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
Idril - 01.12.2008, 21:17
well, Elizabeth has her baby, so she can't go on a ship anyway and Will is busy with transporting souls and can go ashore only every ten years, so the only oney who are left are Jack and Barbossa chasing each other again
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
newnativspirit - 02.12.2008, 21:15
hey, it´s a movie, so why shouldn´t Elizabeth be able to be on a ship? LOL
See, I just found out that my life got too serious LOL I never ever thought about things like that.

eddiefever - 06.12.2008, 20:36
i heard the rumor of Orli not being in a follow up.
i heard that it was cause he was to expensive ,compared to the "importancy" of his character.
wouldn't mind a new PotC without Will & Elizabeth.
would be fun to see if Jack will win from Barbosa this time.
and maybe somewhere Jack will find the love of his life ;)
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
Idril - 06.12.2008, 22:25
Na, a love story for Jack wouldn't really fit his character. But a Barbossa-Jack-fight about something actually totally unimportant would be nice ;)

eddiefever - 08.12.2008, 19:58
i know , but he most definatlyd eserves to have a woman ,ofcourse she has to be a fighter.
so they'd always be bickering back & forth
i can imagine it already :P
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean - At world's end
Idril - 08.12.2008, 19:59
hm. Maybe. But somehow it would end PotC if Jack got a girl... I don't know... Somehow it doesn't fit... At least for me
