Nachdem ein Ev Fan ein Video über Britney auf dem Evclub Board gepostet hatte und dafür EF verwendete, kam Amy online und hat ihre Meinung dazu gesagt. Und mal wieder haben die Medien davon Wind bekommen.

    http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=67414

EVANESCENCE singer Amy Lee came to the defense of Britney Spears after a fan named "Strat" posted a YouTube video making fun of the troubled pop star using one of EVANESCENCE's songs. "OK, hold on a second. I have to post that I in NO WAY am going to endorse any kind of Britney bashing after everything she's been through," Lee wrote at the EVANESCENCE forum. "I can't control what people put on YouTube or anywhere else on the internet, but I would NEVER want my picture or our music connected to something that's based on getting enjoyment out of someone's pain. I know what it's like to feel manipulated, used and helpless - so do most of you, that's why you're here — and by now I know what it's like to feel like your entire life is open to the world for judgement. I don't read tabloids and I don't care about celebrity, but it is impossible to escape the whole world just loving to watch her suffer. Remember that this is a human being we're talking about — and who wants to be like those horrible people that have hurt you to feel better about themselves? 'Everybody's Fool' is about the fact that the whole celebrity thing is fake and empty. I think Britney Spears is more aware of that now than anyone. I'm not trying to burn you at the stake, Strat, but it would mean alot to me if you'd take your clip down. Love, Amy. P.S.: Tabloids are dumb. Don't buy them."

    Amy's evthreads.com Post:
Well, after looking at these posts, I'm sure you guys will like this- Terry and I both felt kinda the same way about ATILF as a single- its a great song but we really had our hearts set on Sweet Sacrifice or weight of the world- but the label was really hell-bent on ATILF. In the end, after (youre not going to believe this!) actually listening to the fans reactions on the boards etc., they agreed we were right and changed their minds! So here's the big news- we are now going with sweet sacrifice for the third single. ROCK METAL. I'm stoked. Thanks for speaking up about what you think! All we needed was a mob!
    Love,
    amy

ps- dont be bumbed about lithium, its just now getting good play. (it was only added officially this month, so it was a late start but it is still doing well! keep requesting it!)

A WHITE WEDDING GOWN AND A PINK SLIP: Evanescence lead singer Amy Lee, formerly of Little Rock, wedded at her family’s west Little Rock home this past weekend.
Ironically, about the same time she united in marriage, news broke of a major split in her band, and speculation began that the Grammywinning, multi-platinum group’s honeymoon might be over.
But first, the happy news: The 25-year-old rocker married fiance Josh Hartzler, a 29-year-old New York-based therapist, on Sunday.
For the 1 p.m. ceremony, the backyard was transformed into a picture-perfect setting replete with flowers. And, no, the goth goddess didn’t wear black but instead opted for an ivory-hued Victorian style dress and veil.
Grandfather Bob Cargill of Fort Worth performed the ceremony. Sisters Carrie and Lori and friend Beth Wilson stood by her side, while Josh’s brothers Caleb and Aaron and his friend (and former Evanescence member) David Hodges stood by his.
Evanescence guitarist Terry Balasamo was among the guests. The reception, with music by Brian Nahlin and Nick Devlin, was catered by Capers and included a robin’s egg-blue wedding cake by The Blue Cake Company.
After a wedding night at the Peabody, the pair left for a honeymoon on an island south of the Bahamas.

Evanescence opens a new door with two new bandmates

New Guitarist and Drummer Sign On With Evanescence For Extended Summer Tour

Los Angeles (May 17, 2007) — Continuing the multi-platinum success of their sophomore album, The Open Door, Evanescence (Windup Records) welcomes drummer Will Hunt and guitarist Troy McLawhorn—both from Dark New Day (Warner Bros. Records)—to the band this week. “I am a big fan of Dark New Day and can’t wait for the fans to see what the guys bring to our live show,” says front woman Amy Lee.

Evanescence will debut their new formation on Saturday, May 19th at Columbus’ sold out Rock On the Range Festival, along with ZZ Top, Hinder, Velvet Revolver and Buckcherry. Following this performance, Evanescence will perform at WMMR BQ FESTIVAL (Philadelphia) on Sunday, May 20th at Camden’s Tweeter Center, along with Velvet Revolver, Buckcherry and Chevelle. The group will then embark on a one-month European tour making stops in Belgium, France and Russia at select festivals and headline dates. Beginning July 20th in St. Louis, Missouri, Evanescence will co-headline the U.S. leg of The Family Values Tour with Korn.

Evanescence is Amy Lee (vocals, piano), Terry Balsamo (guitar), Tim McCord (bass), Troy McLawhorn (guitar) and Will Hunt (drums). Fallen, their major-label debut, was released in April 2003 to critical and commercial success and has sold more than fifteen million copies. Their second major label debut, The Open Door, debuted at Number One on the Billboard charts and reached platinum status in just over a month.
