Today I was busy with my CityBug. I installed a set of chrome side indicator trims and an aluminium sport pedal set. Some time ago I posted about my custom made leather gear gaitor and I changed it a little bit. The leather is now IN the gearknob so it can not come down anymore.

New mod for chrome Peugeot Sport lights or C1 lights
Today I changed all 6 bulbs of my chrome sport rear lights for a complete set of coloured chrome bulbs (aka Silver Vision bulbs).
And I also took out the red and orange colour caps which are inside the light unit.

    I used the following bulbs:
    - 2 pcs of Red chrome bulb (dual contact)
    - 2 pcs of Amber chrome bulb (single contact)
    - 1 pcs of Red chrome bulb (single contact)
    - 1 pcs of Super White chrome bulb (single contact)

With this new setup the chrome sport rear lights are realy CHROME. :D

Here are some quick pics to show you how it looks like.

    Very nice car!

Wo bekommt man solche Glühbirnen für die Heckleuchten?

Re: REFZ aka The CityBug | 107XS Modified & Ziptuned 80BHP

    DierkS. - 17.05.2008, 07:43

Die Glühbirnen bekommt man in KFZ Zubehörläden oder im eBay.
Du musst aber vorher die Farbkappen aus den Rückleuchten raus machen ;)

Das Auto ist ganz schick, aber die Schmutzfänger ...

I bought the chrome bulbs online in the the USA.
But you can also buy them online in the UK.
These bulbs are also sold on Ebay.

You have to take out the colour caps which are inside the light units.
After that you replace the standard clear bulbs for the right colour chrome bulbs, I replaces the complete set for chrome bulbs.

    - 2 pieces of 21/5w in red
    - 2 pieces of 21w in amber/orange
    - 1 pieces of 21w in red
    - 1 piece of 21w in xenon white

The last bulb is not necessary because you can use one of the original clear bulbs.

Welche Bezeichnung haben die Birnen eigentlich?

Sind es zufällig BAY15D und BA-15S für die Nebelschlussleuchte? Hab grade keine Lust die Rückleuchten auszubauen ;-)

Re: REFZ aka The CityBug | 107XS Modified & Ziptuned 80BHP

    REFZ - 01.07.2008, 23:37

    You need the following bulbs:

Stop and tail light bulbs (dual contact - red)
    BA15D / 1157 / 380 are codes for the 21/5w duall contact bulbs
    Link: click here

Indicator bulbs (single contact - orange/amber)
    BA15S / 1156 / 382 are codes for the 21w single contact bulbs
    Link: click here

Foglight bulbs (single contact - red)
    BA15S / 1156 / 382 are codes for the 21w single contact bulbs
    Link: click here

I bought the bulbs in the US but you can also buy them in the UK (Aceparts).
See the examples I mentioned in the links.

Some time ago I changed all the bulbs in my Peugeot Sport rearlights for chrome bulbs.
Everything was OK with those bulbs but I wanted to try the LED versions.
So today I changed some bulbs for LED's, I only changed the combination bulbs on top.
    It's a 21/5W 24-LED bulb now - 18 LED's on top and 6 LED's to the side.

Here is a close-up picture of the new LED bulbs

And this is a picture of the test set-up

And here are a few pictures of the new LED lights in use in the dark.

    LED's left normal light

Today I bought a second hand set of roofbars (only used once) together with a roofbox (used four times).
I'm very happy with the set and those roofbars are always handy.

    Hi,

to be a true dutchman, you need a trailer coupling too!

    SCNR ^^

looks great. it is useable on a 5 door-C1 too?

Re: REFZ aka The CityBug | 107XS Modified & Ziptuned 80BHP

    REFZ - 04.08.2008, 23:33

The set of roof bars is the original dealer set. If have got the 3 doors version.
There is a 3 doors and a 5 doors version because of the different shape of the rear side because of the extra doors.

    The 3 doors version:
    - text on the front bar: C1/107 3/5P
    - text on the rear bar: C1 3P 107 3P

So I assume that the front bar will fit the 3 doors and 5 doors version.
And the only thing that is different is the rear bar.

Today I installed an one-touch module for the electric window (passanger side).
The drivers side already has an one-touch module.

But I also installed two extra switches so I can open and close both windows from the center console.

Last week I also installed an induction kit (open air filter).
The setup is not finished completely because I also want to install a cold air feed.
And I want to make a cover for the standard air filter housing.

Today I have visted the chiptuning company Ziptuning because I had an appointment for a chiptuning of my CityBug.

The whole proces of modifying the software takes about 1.5 hour.
After the chiptuning I experienced that the engine is running smoother at stationary and during the driving of the car the engine has a better response to the gas. Besides that the amount of torque is much better.

When driving on the highway in 5th gear at 120km/h you don't have to change gear when you want to accellerate to pass a car. And if you really want to accellarate and you change gear from 5th to 3rd you can experience that the car is accellerating faster than before.

I'm very happy with this new modification.

    Peugeot 107XS | 1.0 - 12V - Ziptuned 79 bhp - 124 Nm

    Ziptuning specs:
    Power: +11 bhp
    Torque: +31 Nm
    Speed: +17 km/h

    Standard | After Ziptuning
    Power: 50 kW / 68 bhp | 58 kW / 79 bhp = +8 kW / +11 bhp
    Torque: 93 Nm | 124 Nm = +31 Nm
    Topspeed: 157 km/h | 174 km/h = +17 km/h

    Economy:
    - citytraffic 5.50/100 km | 5.22/100 km = -0.28/100 km
    - offcitytraffic: 4.10/100 km | 3.89/100 km = -0.21 / 100 km
    - combination: 4.60/100 km | 4.37/100 km = -0.23 / 100 km

Today I installed a set of chrome angel eyes headlights.
Each headlight has two angel eyes rings.

To install this set you have to take off the height adjustment motor of the orignal unit and fit it to the new unit.
After that it's plug and play, except the angel eyes, I have to install those separately.
I will install the angel eyes so that they will work if the parkinglight is switched on.
The only thing I changed are the indicator bulbs, I used chrome silver vision bulbs instead.

This is a first serie of pictures I took very quickly.

    This is the dipped beam.

    This is the highlight beam.

    Standard | After Ziptuning

Do you have a print-out of a dyno run ?
I can`t believe that ziptuning can boost the torque as much as 31 Nm.
And with only 79 bhp the car can never run 174 km/h, 166 km/h is a more realistic value.
If the car has really 124 Nm, third gear would be as fast as second Gear of a normal car and performance of fifth gear would be between third and fourth gear of a original 107. That would be really fast.
You see, I don´t believe in Chiptuning.

Nevertheless you have a really nice car.

    Mfg Flo

Today I received a wiper switch which I bought on Ebay.

The standard switch only has one interval speed and this one has a variable interval speed option as an extra. You can set the interval speed in 4 "steps" from slow to fast with the extra "wheel" on the switch.

The only thing is that the LO option will not work for the rear wiper, you have to use the HI option for the rear wiper. So nothing changes for the rear wiper. Besides that this type of wiper switch will be an 100% plug & play modification for the the CityBug.

Saterday I will install the new switch and I will make an YouTube video of it to show this new mod.

Hi,also beim Aygo gibt es drei Stellungen ! 1.Wischer an 2.

Today I received a new folding remote key which I bought on Ebay.

This key makes use of the printboard and transponder chip of the original remote key.
The printboard is for the keyless entry and the transponder chip is for the start blocking.
I also used the key part from the standard key and modified it a little bit to fit the folding key.

Here are some pictures of my new folding remote key. ;D

I regularly was my car and after washing my car I make my pictures.

You can find the key on Ebay if you search for "Peugeot 107 folding".

There are two options, the version like I have and there is a completly black version with a knob layout more like the standard key.

But the black version is folding the other way around (left hand) and the version with the chrome knobs is folding the right way (right hand).

Just look closely at the pics on Ebay and you will see what I mean.

The test was not completly optimized because there was something wrong with the cold air fan.
    But nevertheless I´m happy with the results: 79,4BHP @ 5929rpm / 109Nm @ 2694rpm

    nice at all.
you have these things around the wheel cases which let the car look little bit wider.

@1. Those things are called "wheel arch extensions".
@2. I bought them on Ebay UK.

The wheel arch extensions are only sold in the UK as a Peugeot Sport accessory for the Peugeot 107 Sport XS so they are very rare in Holland. 8)

I´m not aware of a set which will fit the Aygo.

It's time for a new modification.

Recently I bought a leather interior from a Citroën XM.
I had to modify the the seatrails because the XM rails are wider than the one's from the 107.
The seats can be adjusted electronically but I have to install some new wires for that.
This week the modification will be completed.

Here are some picture for the first impression.

    supeR - 05.07.2010, 02:22

    sweet!

was it possible to hook up the airbags or did you have to disable them? also, can you share pictures and maybe a bit more info on the modified seatrails?

Re: REFZ aka The CityBug | 107XS Modified & Ziptuned 80BHP

    REFZ - 05.07.2010, 09:46

These seats don't have airbags and I wired in a resistor to trick the airbag system (2.2 Ohm).

The seatrails of the XM seats are wider than the one's on the 107.
So I had to make some adaptors to make it fit.
The XM seatrails are now on top of the 107 seatrails.

that's too bad about the airbags as the seats really do look great.
