BRUNZ Battlefield 2 server rules
-Players may not use any cheats or use any exploit.
-Players must be courteous to other players at all times. No personal attacks or abuse of any kind will be tolerated at all.
-Players must show administrators the utmost respect at all times.
-No intentional team killing.
-No attacking un-capturable bases. You may use C4 to destroy commander assets.
-Please do not jump to avoid enemy fire.
-Please try to talk English on our servers at all times.
-No behaviour that is disruptive to the natural progression of the game.
-No intentional ramming.
-Don't quote BFROE to an admin. Offenders will be disciplined.
If you suspect someone is cheating or conducting themselves in an inappropriate fashion and there is no admin present please post on the forum under the section for the server. Please try to contact an in game admin. Most BRUNZ members have admin and the one that don't will be able to quickly contact BRUNZ members with admin.
If you are making a complaint please remember that an admin can't see every activity that occurs on the server. You may have to point out activity to them.
We do not allow any behaviour that is disruptive to the natural progression of the game. This does cover wide criteria.
The use of Vehicles
Many of the vehicles are for the purposes of transport. Taking a vehicle and leaving teammates stranded without any attempt to pick them up is a nuscience for the players left behind. In some circumstances they have to wait for a pickup. If this disregard for teammates continues with a player then this is considered disruptive behaviour.
Vehicle drops
The use of these vehicles drops for any other purpose is exploiting a game mechanism and a misuse of this feature.
Examples of misuse are dropping vehicles to:
-Attack lone or groups of infantry
-Attack Helicopters or planes whether occupied or not
-Block roads or airfields
-Destroy commander assets (UAV, SCAN, ARTY)
Misuse of this feature is prohibited.
The use of Aircraft
The use of aircraft should be shared. Preferably you should take it in turns using the Air vehicles. If there is no one near the Aircraft and you are the closest you may use the aircraft. There may be an instance where you are the closest by spawn and it is not your turn. If the game at hand warrants it you may still use the Aircraft. It is not necessary for you to wait leaving an Aircraft out of use till the next player arrives.
You must also take the advise of the commander. The commander may want a better player to use an aircraft more often to help win the game. You should follow the commanders advise in this matter. If a commander repeatedly uses the same person for an Aircraft that would be considered disruptive. <- VERY IMPORTANT
If an admin sees the use of a particular air vehicle being over used by a player he may quite justly warn, kick then ban the player if he continues to use the vehicle. This is fully justified and does not contradict the RSA. It is an admins job to see that everyone has equal chance for people to use vehicles, which is part of EA's service. <- VERY IMPORTANT
Team killing
Please do not team kill on our server. Team killing will happen from time to time so do not punish for Claymores you did not notice, Artillery or Mines. You should only punish for a team kill if you are absolutely certain that it was intentional. If in doubt don't punish.
If someone repeatedly team kills on our server then please tell an admin or post here. The admin will usually be wearing BRUNZ tags. You can call for a kick vote if you believe the player is not playing fair.
Base raping
What is base raping? Base raping is any attack at a base that can’t be captured. These bases are circled and have a line through them. These should not attacked by artillery, bombs, snipers, vehicles, mines or any other means. There are exceptions.
Exceptions:
The Special Forces can be sent in to destroy enemy U.A.V, SCAN. or ARTILLERY. This is acceptable. The Special Forces are allowed to use reasonable force to allow themselves to escape. No avoidable kills please.
Duelling players like two jets may dogfight and one may break off and flee to the uncap base for repairs. The other jet may pursue and finish off that jet. In other words if you are being attacked you may attack the attacker.
In wartime if a base is designated as uncapturable that usually means the base out of bounds and cant be attacked unless specific orders are in place as oftened occurs in limited war scenarios. Not allowing attacks on uncapturable bases is a realistic wartime scenario.
Swearing
Our policy is based upon the EULA, which does state:
"Strong vulgar language, crude or explicit sexual references, discussions of illegal drugs, and hate speech are always inappropriate Content for EA Online. Content standards may vary depending on where you are on EA Online, the type of game you are playing and the expectations of the community. Some game play and chat rooms may involve use of stronger language than others, including mild expletives. Always use your best judgment in online conduct"
Battlefield 2 has an ESRB Teen rating. According to the ESRB:
"Titles rated T (Teen) have content that may be suitable for ages 13 and older. Titles in this category may contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humour, minimal blood and/or infrequent use of strong language."
"Additionally, online games that include user-generated content (e.g., chat, maps, skins) carry the notice "Game Experience May Change During Online Play" to warn consumers that content created by players of the game has not been rated by the ESRB."
Note that the globally enforced rules are the rules that must be obeyed. Swearing in moderation including stronger swear words are permissible. We as a clan would normally not kick people for the use of these words. We do ask that stronger swear words are not used in any attack on persons connected to our servers. It must be stated that we do not tolerate attacks on any persons connected to our servers.
Summary
The BRUNZ clan rules follow EA's terms of service and the roe. They employ minor changes to game play as authorised with the applicable rules. I hope you agree our rules. Please stick to them.
Please note: The BRUNZ clan administrators can at anytime amend, delete or change these rules at anytime without warning. BRUNZ clan admins decision is final.
