    Hi,

    yes, you are right !
The number "28D1022" indicate a part from B-24.
I´m sorry, but I have this number not in my part list and have no diagram of this part

do you have the diameter of the valve and a detail photo ?
a valve from the engine of a B-24 looks other, and the parts from
    cylinder looks different...

28 followed by a letter is a PBY part number, but the B-24 used a number of PBY parts. 28D1022 is not in my B-24d & J catalog, but 28D1029 is. However 28D1029 does not look like the part you found.

    Hi.
If you look at my photo of a b24 cyl head that Roy posted for me on Consolidated I think you will agree they are the same. When I dismantled the valve conponents I made a note of all part numbers. If you can remove the spark plug and clean, on the base of the plug you should see part number B-LS321A 1042or1012or0332 US-1A-N.
The valve is the same also if you can remove the valve spring cap the valve should have 2 grooves which the valve collets locate into, between the top groove you should see part number O1, CIRCLE (inside circle) D 556.
If the rocker arm is still located in the upper part of cly head(looks like it is from your photo) look for part numbers stamped into the arm C9094F, A154J, 915 withM in circle.
Hope this is of some help. Martin
