Thanks to the efforts of our beloved fleeter, some of us are going to get their first colony ships soon. Where should we build new colonies?
More specifically, where do you think I should be making a new colony? I have put all the geological reports in the sitting tool - feel free to browse and suggest. But when you do suggest, tell me why. :)
Remember - being a newbie, I don't even know what most special features actually do. Is it good to have old ruins on a planet? I have no idea...

old ruins are unimportend because thats nothing.
the deposid is the most importend thing.

The part about old ruins is the least significant in my question.
So, deposits are the most important, eh? Do living conditions matter for me? Gravitation? Should I build a colony close by or far away?

the living condition and the gravitiation don´t matters. only gravitation must be between 0.5 and 2 in this time later you can get with genetic "don´t jump around" than you can have gravitation with 0-5.
nothing is really importent for the planets, only the desposits. some special fetueres can be helpfull but it´s not really important.
