Before I went to visit my grandma in the last holidays I promissed you to make some pictures of my hair. Well, I made two. Not with a digital camera, but a normal one. Guess what... You can't see anything on the pictures. It's just white papers. No hair. :( I'm sorry. I will try to make some new during my next holidays.
(Anne, you can delete this message if you want to. I just wanted everybody to know what happened to the pics)

I've been trying out new styles - some I like and others makes me want to shave my head and give a wig.lol. This type of weather is terrible for natural curly hair. You can straighten it and it might work for a bit but it just gets wavier. Now if I have it natural - it really bounces. I'll have to post a photo of it.
Too we are getting ready to get our professional photos done for the Dept. Our Chairman wants us out there on the web and for us to look good :roll: I've got to make an appointment to have my photo made sometime here in the near future.
it's just the top part of my head but you can see the curl. It goes down past my shoulders.

I hate my hair...I'm thinking of growing it for Locks for Love...they donate your hair to make wigs for cancer patients...but not sure if they'll take my hair as most places won't take chemically treated hair (my hair has been dyed since I was 13). So if I can't find a company that will take my hair, I'll have to get it cut soon, of course I have no clue what to do with it - blah.

Soccer lady I love your hair!! I'm a straight haired, but both my sister's have naturally curly. They love my hair and I love theirs- isn't that the way it usually goes??!!
Idril- i've seen some photos of you before, and they weren't during the holidays, so fess up- where are the pics?? I think you just like to make-up your hair during the holidays and the other 360 days of the year you just let it go into a ponytail. :lol: Nothing wrong with ponytails mind you- but I know how active you are and must not always have the time. I ponytail quite a bit in the summer, but winter I usually leave it down.
Why do we have to fuss with our hair so much? Do you really think men worry about their hair as much as we do??

No, that's not the reason. And the photos you have seen were 99% taken on school free days. During schooltime I don't have enough time to take pictures. Btw I hate taking pictures. It's always a long process for me and my nerves. So it's better to make it during the holidays. I know I said I didn't know why I liked taking pictures during the holidays better, but for me there is much more behind a picture than just a click and not everyone needs to know, what problems I have and why I have them.

Idril honey- I meant no disrespect to you. I think the holidays are a special time for family and friends, and I'm sure that must be part of the reason why you enjoy "suffering" the picture taking. I'm not pressing for an answer- so please don't think I want you to talk about something that you don't want to. It's your business- and not mine. :wink:
If I ever find a picture of myself that I like- then I'll post it. But- I don't like to have my picture taken, because I'm just so self-concious. So to all you ladies out there who have the confidence- post away!!

I'm going to try and color my roots tonight - if my chest will be ok. Went to the doc today and had a great check-up but he found two moles on my chest he wanted removed :x talk about bleeding - ugh my blouse and bra are soaking right now. don't mean to sound graphic but boy even the bandaids didn't help. I've got some gauze and tape on them now so hopefully they'll quit by later on tonight.

Yep and the blood came out of everything - nothing but a little place. He didn't numb it and it felt like someone sticking an IV in my arm.
Why it bleed like it did. For some reason fingers and chest areas bleed more so that other areas. All just strange.

yeah I believe that's becase of the special blood circulation our brain needs. Thank God I never was hurt there. Well I used to have many lumps but no bleading wounds. That's what my limbs are for

I don't have to get the camera from my sister but my daughter.
Boy they said they'd turn the heat on in our buildings today! it was in the low 30's here and frost on the windows - the heat is not on - it is sub zero - I've my little heater on and my long sleeve top and a long sleve sweater and I'm still cold.
Also my clock yesterday moved back an hour on it's own so I was an hour behind :roll: It's one of those Atominic clocks that automatically sits well I had to move it up so I'd be able to get up on time...well this am it was after 6 when we got up. I'm tired but here.

No they wanted to push the time back we actually set them back - so I had to run mine up 1 hour - I sure hope I didn't mess up any of the mechanisms in it because it automatically sets...found out they are turning the heat on in the buildings today - so no telling when ours will kick on.

For a minute there I thought you were talking about daylight savings, which we have just started over here. I don't mind having extra daylight after work, but I also find that it means that I do things later on (like eating, for example), and actually feel like I've lost time. Sorry for veering off subject...

Haha - should I be flattered (if she looks anything like Scarlet then I'm certain I would be)?! I don't believe I've ever seen a picture of Scarlett Johansen's sister, just many of Scarlet herself.

Well Idril- I cannot view the pictures of your hair. I don't have a myspace account, and I'm not going to get one just to see your hair.... so, I guess I'll just have to figure it's still blonde, and probably a bit longer than the last photo I saw. 8)
Anyway- the funny thing about looking up your myspace account: I typed in Idril, and up came a bunch of links that I didn't recognize. I had 14 teens here till about midnight last night. They were very nice and seemed to have a good time however after they watched the movie Chicago - they sounded like a bunch of little sparrows - all trying to talk above the other ones...so I didn't get to sleep till after midnight when they all went home except for Deanna who stayed all night. :?
Mom will be home tomorrow afternoon.

thx^^..though I know I don't get along with jhorror movies I watch them. Well, movis about vampires, werwolves and movies like that don't freak me out - but when it comes to movies like Final Destination or The Haunting I'm scared to death. I mean when there is no real reson behind everything just bloodbath everywhere - that's really scary.
Hoe many hours could you sleep. I'm like a zombie when I sleep less then 7 hours

I feel the same way. I've never seen the point of watching a movie to scare yourself senseless and stay awake half the night. I don't know if any of you guys have seen it, but I got dragged to see Wolf Creek with my friends (it's an Australian horror movie based on the murders of an infamous serial killer over here), and I actually had to cover my eyes in some parts cos it was so graphic. It was one of those movies that just made you feel really disturbed after you watched it (probably cos you knew that it was based on real murders).

the ones based on real murders are the worst. I meanwhatching werwolves or vampires is not the same. There you know it is just fiction - but movies based on reality make me always feel a bit weird, like "may I be the next" or so.

Well this serial killer actually targeted tourists because they are harder to trace when they go missing, which I'm sure has done a lot for tourism in this country!

My ellbow hurts lol I used it the wrong way/ did too much and now I can't really tipe without pain. It's getting better and it wont stop me from doing vaulting tomorrow, but it's nerveracking... Always black spots, ankles hurting, knees hurting and now my elbow :x

yep, I mean Australia. I watched "In the bush with malcolm Douglas", Steve Irwine and thousands of other documentaries.
Since 2005 I get really sick every autumn. I have no idea why.

yeah... He was great. loved his show. especially the ones about his zoo. I#ll never forget the date: 4th september 2006 - that's also the birthday of my sister. And another very funny thing happened to me. A parrot flew against my window. I took him inside and called the police (which would take him to the zoo nearby). The parrot was so cute - but I had to leave him in the bathroom - he wasn't house-broken, but which bird really is?! I called him Steve - but never saw, or heard of him or his owners again.

It supposed to look like this, but it's a temp color (didn't read the package :oops: ) and that doesn't work on my hair.
Now it looks like this:
Top layer is red and the rest is black.

You don't look happy. But it's cool, very funky looking - if that was what you were going for - if not, I'm sorry. I find temp colours to be a pain in the butt...but if you wash your hair a lot it will come out faster and then you can do it again. :D

I like it, but I actually wanted it more red, brighter.
The one I used a couple of years ago is not on the market anymore, :cry: .
That one was really bright and it was permanent.
It was also from the swartzkopf line.
It's called LIVE and that line had 3 different shades of red.

Oh that's a bonus, a daughter who thinks her mom is cool! Dark pink would be nice. I've had purple, pink, rubine (dark red - it's lovely) and then fire-engine red (or coke can red). Now I just stick to dark shades of brown.

Yep, he did. I now even it was by accident, I took it as a sign. Yeah he was very - let's say - enthusiastic. But he protected animals and loved them. He inspired a lot of people to safe/protect nature and animals too. That's more important than his enthusiasm. I'm now a member of WWF and support their work.

yeah but to be honest, Malcolm Douglas for me is a more typical Australian than Steve. I can't imagine a whole nation being this hyperactive - if it was the whole world would look different *lol*. Maybe you would be the superpower country instead of the United States :lol:

Just had a thought - not sure if this is doable - but what about writing to the company and ask them if they now make a similar product. Just an idea. It totally sucks when a company stops making a product I love and use...very annoying.

I'm pretty much sure they just changed the picture on the package or do have at least a similar product. Just mention the color you prefered (do you still have the number of the color - it's printed on the package) and they will tell you which one to buy know. I always keep the number and so it is easy to find it again.
Plus hair colors are kind of a fashion thing as well. Once they realize that a color can't be sold anymore it's off the market ... but usually they bring out a similar product then ... I wish you luck with finding your color
