I never really got into Nirvana that much... I liked a few of their songs, but then I got the "Unplugged" CD and gained a much deeper appreciation for their stuff. To me they were better acoustic.
"Where Did You Sleep Last Night" is an awesome cover of an old Huddie (LeadBelly) Ledbetter blues song that makes the hair stand up on the nape of my neck! 8)

Bluesdawg, I totally agree with you about the unplugged cd. Since I'm a big acoustic fan, I bought that one first. After listening to it a while, it made me want more, so I bought Nevermind and In Utero. Both are excellent, IMO. Kurt could definitly rock. 8)

for me nirvana is a band that is perfect for wannabe alternative children who hate their parents and think "i am different from all the others" but Nirvana is just a pop band in my opinoin
ok i liked them very much some years ago but now....ah ah no i just listen to them 1 time in a month or something

As I said, I never was a big fan...but regardless of what one thinks of their music, you have to agree that they made a major impact on the face of music. They drove a well-deserved stake right through the heart of crappy, commercial, Hair Metal...and in my opinion, that was a good thing!

I grew tired of Nevermind quickly but I still put their In Utero disc in my player every now and then. That album doesn't seem nearly as dated and was much more raw sounding, which I liked. I've never been a big fan of unplugged music but their songs sound amazingly good that way. My favorite Nirvana tracks aree Pennyroyal Tea and Radio Friendly Unit Shifter.
