Ich bin bei "Zep-Recherchen" zufällig hierüber gestolpert...und vielleicht ist es ja interessant für euch!?
here’s the Queen connection between Billy Squire and Queen.
Billy Squire plays on some of Freddie Mercury’s solo albums. Different albums for different countries I believe. He played on the Mercury solo tracks “Love is the Hero” and “Lady with a Tenor Sax,” which were produced by Freddie. They were released on the Freddie Mercury box-set. The box-set differs from country to country. The UK got a 9 disc version; the US got a 3 disc version. I bought the 9 disc version, so I have these tracks. It’s cool but not overwhelmingly cool. Roger Taylor does backup vocals on a few of Billy Squire’s songs. Freddie and Roger do backup vocals for Emotions in Motion. Billy Squire wrote a tribute song for Freddie that was so-so in my opinion. I read at Queen’s site it was called “I watched you fly,” but it’s been a long time since I heard it. I’m pretty sure he appears on stage at the end of the Freddie Mercury tribute concert with the performers of the day while they sang “We are the Champions” with Liza Minnelli. My ears still ache. Billy Squire is a huge Queen fan and he toured with them as was already mentioned.
