    Very good I'll see you this week...

    Just a plea for precision about times... please make sure that when you say GMT you really do mean GMT.

    Germany and UK are 1 hour apart (all year round).... we've just gone finished summer time so UK is now on GMT but 8pm GMT is 9pm CET...

    which is 3pm EST and 12am noon PST... which is 5am KST and 4am HKT

    NB Korea and China (KH) DO NOT observe daylight saving time, they are on the same time all year round.

    NB2
    BST=GMT+1
    CET=GMT+1 CDT=GMT+2
    EST = GMT-5 EDT=GMT-4
    PST= GMT-8 PDT=GMT-7
    KST=GMT+9 (no daylight saving time)
    HKT=GMT+8 (no daylight saving time)

    NB3 there is no daylight saving time in some US areas.... Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and the state of Arizona (but not the Navajo Indian Reservation in Arizona, which does observe daylight saving time - Navajo Nation participates in the Daylight Saving Time policy, due to its location in three states).

    NB4 the US is changing the timing of the switch to daylight saving time from next year (2007) so just to add to the confusion it will switch to DST at a different date from Europe !! So for about 2-3 weeks in March things will be even more confused....

    Iampants do you try to make us confused? ;) Can we say 8.00 Zulu?

    Re: Weekly Training Excercises (Gb2/AW)

    Bemme - 31.10.2006, 11:36

    iam confused...

    Re: Weekly Training Excercises (Gb2/AW)

    Bloodaxe - 31.10.2006, 13:25

    Off course we can Noricer. Searches intrnet to and confirms that zulu = GMT.

    iampants - 31.10.2006, 13:48

    Actually now there is a funny thing !!!! LOL

    South Africa's timezone is GMT+2

    AND South Africa do NOT operate daylight saving time so they are GMT+2 all year round.

    LOL.... this is so funny.

    Sorry guys for being so pedantic ! :eek:

    Thing is I've done quite a lot of work in multinationals and one of the things that frequently goes wrong is people not being specific about times of meetings, conference calls, flights, etc...

    Re: Weekly Training Excercises (Gb2/AW)

    iampants - 01.11.2006, 17:28

    BTW silik..... After last night I'm not sure that GB2 works well as a fleet battle, its difficult to keep the fleet together when assigning and its hard to balance the rooms.

    Maybe AW would be better ?

    Also, from a selfish perspective, there isn't the XP in GB2 that is available in AW.

    Re: Weekly Training Excercises (Gb2/AW)

    silik80 - 01.11.2006, 20:50

    pants i know that the EXP in Gb2 sucks at ur and my lvl :D
    but our low lvl friends in DD, CL, BC, bb1-2 dont have any chances to get some exp in AW.
    But u r right we have to practice such games too and then our lower lvl friends should use AA ships to help our capital BBs or CV.

    So we will practice that too

    :D ;) ;D ;) :D

    I will host some gb2 again ;D

    Re: Weekly Training Excercises (Gb2/AW)

    godprotector - 06.11.2006, 06:13

    aniway pants i have seen many fleets cre8 AW instead of GB2 dey have to wait 30mins- 1hr be4 dey start/giveup

    Re: Weekly Training Excercises (Gb2/AW)

    iampants - 06.11.2006, 12:52

    Yep that is true god.... the wait is a lot longer in AW than in GB2.... and it's not the XP that is the problem with GB2, there are two issues with fleet GB2's as I see it:

    1. people don't expect GB2 to be fleet battles so they are more inclined to shout about stacking if the host tries to arrange the fleetmates to one side

    2. it is difficult to put fleetmates on one side *AND* balance the room (eg if we turn up with 1 BB5, 2 BB4, 1 BB3 and 1 BB2 but the non-fleet BBs are 2 BB3, 2 BB2 and 1 BB1).

    Re: Weekly Training Excercises (Gb2/AW)

    Noricer - 06.11.2006, 12:59

    Believe me Iampants. Siliks or shojos rooms are always full in a few minutes. And there was never a problem with the balancing or someone thought its stacked!

    Re: Weekly Training Excercises (Gb2/AW)

    silik80 - 06.11.2006, 15:13

    i will make meeting room area 12 like always and we discuss about the ships
    so no problem guys

    just have some fun even if we lose or get totally powned^^
