Previously on Charmed: The Book of Shadows was taken by a powerful girl from Avalon, the mystical Island. As the danger is solved, the Charmed Ones give Avalon its own magic back that once protected the book, to protect Avalon again from evil. Back in San Francisco the Charmed Ones decided that it’s to go back to their old innocent saving wiccan ways and Paige and Henry try to overcome the growing space between each other.
Int. P3
It is early morning and Piper stands in front of the bar, concentrating on a piece of paper with some notes on it. Suddenly Phoebe and Paige enter P3 and start to go down the stairs.
Phoebe (to Piper): Finally we've found you.
In one second Piper looks a little bit surprised, then, she just acts and tries to cover her piece of paper with a napkin nearby.
Piper: Is there any reason you were looking for me?
Phoebe and Paige now are standing right beside Piper.
Paige (smiling): No … not really except you promised us to come up with a way to deal with Billie for her betrayal. And now you’re trying to play hide and seek with us.
Paige’s looks goes to the napkin, wherefore she grasps at it.
Paige (to Phoebe): Look, there’s another surprise.
Phoebe (to Piper): Just don’t tell me you are making a list of possible punishments.
Piper starts scratching her forehead.
Piper: I’m not sure yet. By the way is there anything new to know about you and Coop, Phoebe?
Paige (smirks): Once you were better changing the topic Piper.
Piper (to Paige): And Henry?
Paige: Piper that is not the point. Now we have to discuss what we're going to do with Billie.
Phoebe (nods): Piper, do you want to punish her or not? You have to come up with a decision soon. Before Billie has the chance to get into trouble again.
Paige: What kind of trouble could she possibly get into this time?
Piper and Phoebe look at Paige who starts smiling again.
Paige: Okay, I’m sorry. It’s just that was a lame question. We should already know what she’s capable of.
Int. Street
A fireball flies directly into a wall. Some of the stones crack. Billie, who is starting to look fatigued, starts to run from one point to another around the attacks of three demons. Another attack and three fireballs are shot in her direction. Using her power of telekinesis she deflects two of them back in the direction they came from and turning two of the three demons into torches until they make their final explosion. Billie looks up. She smirks than she realizes that there is one demon left. She looks around her but cannot see him. Suddenly the demon shimmers in right behind her and kicks her hard in the back. She flies through the air like a rocket and slams into the wall. Billie aches all over but there is no time to rest. She looks up as fast as she can and sees the demon in front of her forming the next fireball. Billie tries everything to get up on her feet again, but before she can, the fireball is coming and she closes her eyes. She feels a little breeze of wind, and as she opens her eyes, the demon is set alight and explodes just a couple of seconds later. She realizes that her subconscious must have used her projection power to switch places with the demon. Finally, Billie gets to her feet. She is looking around again and then is pretty sure she's alone.
Int. College – Billie’s Room
Billie looks tired out as she enters her room. Within another second she has fallen on her bed and closes her eyes for a while. There is no one else. No other noise. She just can't stand this silence any longer and opens her eyes again and sits up. She is looking around and notices a picture of her family again. She takes it. It has to be very old. It shows Billie and Christy as they were kids and her parents: The good old days. And then, Billie silently starts to cry.
Opening Credits
Ext. San Francisco
Various shots of the city. Underlined by the song: Somebody Help Me by the Full Blown Rose.
Int. PD Office
Paige enters the police department and sees Henry. He is working with someone as she sneaks up on him, puts her hands over his eyes and puts on a deep voice.
Paige (deep voice): Hi Henry, it's me.
Henry: Oh Carl, I’m a married man right now, so we can’t meet each other again any time soon. Give me a couple of months, okay?
Paige (furious): What? Who is this Carl?
Henry turns around smiling.
Henry: I got you. Didn’t I?
Paige slaps Henry's arm softly.
Henry: So honey, why are you here?
Paige (surprised): I wanted to see you. We are married, remember?
Henry (nods): Do you?
Paige wants to say something to this as she sees Daryl enter the room.
Paige (shouting): Darryl!
Darryl turns around.
Darryl: Paige, what a lovely surprise.
Paige: That should probably be my line. Give me a hug and then you have to tell me where you’ve been for so long… and when did you get back?
Darryl: You know exactly where I’ve been Paige and I've been back for a couple of days.
Paige (nods): Yeah I remember that job-thingy you were doing. So it didn’t work out for you?
Darryl: Looks like it, otherwise I wouldn’t be back.
Darryl looks at the guy before him.
Darryl: I really have to work again Paige. But I can visit you in a couple of days if you want. You are still living at the Manor, right?
Paige (smiling): I guess there is a lot I need to tell you.
Henry comes near Paige again.
Henry: I’m guessing we have a problem, Paige.
Paige turns to Henry too.
Paige: Why? Because I spoke with an old friend?
Henry: That’s not it and you know it. Sometimes you treat me like I’m not very important to you. Like you can push me aside any time you want.
Paige: I’m really sorry Henry, but I didn’t mean to. It is just that I need my space sometimes.
Henry: Well, next time you need some space just tell me. We’re married Paige. We should talk to each other and I guess we need to work on that.
Ext. Bay Mirror
Int. Phoebes Office
Phoebe sits behind her desk and works on tomorrow’s column as she is picking up her phone to call Billie. Elise enters her office and closes the door behind her.
Elise: Well, I like seeing you here.
Phoebe puts the phone down.
Phoebe: Elise? Is there a problem?
Elise: I have no time for being polite, so I will say what I have to say. Time is money.
Phoebe (nods): Okay Elise what's up?
Elise: It's about you behavior, Phoebe. I tolerated it as long as I could, but it seems like you came and went as you pleased. Sometimes you just disappear and I don’t even want to talk about the things that have been going on in your office for the past few years.
Phoebe: Okay.
Elise: Don’t get me wrong Phoebe. I really like you, but it has to end. I can’t just treat you in a different way than all the other employees.
Phoebe: Okay, Elise you might have some points. I’ll think about it and change some things.
Elise (smiles): Okay That’s a start.
Elise turns around and opens the door to leave Phoebe’s office as Coop stands right in front of her. This time Elise just turns her head and looks at Phoebe.
Elise: See. That’s exactly the point I’m making.
Coop moves aside so that Elise can leave.
Coop: Looks like it’s not a great time right now.
Phoebe stands up and beckons Coop in.
Phoebe: Don’t be silly. Elise is just being Elise and maybe she is right about some of the things she said, but never mind. So, what can I do for you?
Coop: You can answer me a simple question, Phoebe. We were planning on having our first date this evening. Can I still count on that?
Phoebe (too kindly): Of course you can. I mean, what could happen that would make us not be able to go on a date tonight?
Coop: Normally nothing, but you are a Charmed One on one side and Phoebe Halliwell on the other side. Don’t get me wrong, but you are complicated sometimes.
Coop turns away from Phoebe and looks to her sun-blind.
Coop: Whoa, I just got a strange vibe right now.
As Coop turns back Phoebe is gone, and the space she was standing in is now empty.
Coop: Phoebe? Where did you go?
Ext. College
Int. Billie’s Room
Billie is lying on her bed again. She tries to closes her eyes, but every time she does she just sees herself killing her sister Christy. Tears run down her face again. Suddenly Billie sits up.
Billie: Is someone here?
Billie tries to concentrate. There is a voice. It seems like it comes out of nowhere.
Billie: Hello? Anybody here?
At this moment Billie’s roommate enters her room and closes the door. But as she does that, Billie disappears from her bed.
Int. Manor
Int. Living Room
Piper opens the door and enters the living room. On each hand, a bag filled with groceries. In the meantime Leo is with the boys in the living room, as he hears Piper complaining.
Piper: These bags are so heavy!
Leo stands up and nearly runs to Piper. Then he kisses her and grabs the bags.
Leo: Hi honey.
Piper kisses him back.
Piper: Hi. Where are the boys?
Leo: They are in the living room.
In the time Leo takes the bags into the kitchen Pipers enters the living room and takes little Chris into her arms, hugs him and then kisses little Wyatt.
Piper: How are my little men?
Leo comes back in that moment.
Leo: We're fine, Piper. What about you? Everything alright with P3?
Piper (nods): No problem at all. It seems like the whole trouble we went through with Avalon was just a single event. I mean, we are still demon lite. I guess I could get used to it.
Leo: I’ve heard you still haven’t made a decision about Billie and her future.
Piper (rolls her eyes): How do you know?
Leo: I won’t say a word.
Piper (nods): Then it has to be Phoebe. Of course you are the traitor who told them where I was. Why did I rescue you again?
Leo looks at Piper.
Leo: You have to come up with a decision.
Piper: Maybe this will come as a surprise but I already have, for God’s sake.
Leo (nods): Well then grab the phone and tell Phoebe and Paige so you can tell it to Billie. Think about it, the longer it takes to tell her what you guys are going to do to her, the harder it will be for you and Billie.
Piper rolls her eyes again.
Piper: Since when did you become the president of the “we love Billie” fan club?
Leo: Go, Piper.
Piper nods and leaves the room. It looks like she wants to get to the phone in the kitchen. In the meantime, Leo gets on his knees and looks at his boys.
Leo: Sometimes we have to tell Mommy what’s best for her.
At that moment, Piper comes back from the kitchen.
Piper: Maybe I’m a little overprotective, but I’m getting a bad feeling. Phoebe is not answering the Phone.
Leo (smiles to the boys): Maybe?
Piper gives Leo a bad look.
Piper: I’ll try Paige.
Ext. San Francisco
Ext. Park
Paige is sitting at the bank, looking around as her cell-phone rings. She wants to grab at it, as she hears some voices. In the next second, her bag still lies on the ground, but Paige has disappeared.
Int. Manor
Int. Living Room
Piper: Okay, now can I panic?
Leo: What happened?
Piper: Paige is not answering her phone either. Something must have happened.
Leo turns to be boys again. Piper leaves the living room for a moment.
Leo: I’m pretty sure everything will be alright.
After he finishes his sentence he hears a noise. Leo looks curious.
Leo: Where did what noise come from?
He stands up and leaves the living room too.
Int. Manor
Int. Floor
Leo: Piper? Piper?
Leo looks around as he hears some voices. A light appears and he vanishes in a bright white light.
Ext. Black, Stormy Area
Piper, Phoebe, Paige, Leo, and also Billie, stand near each other. It seems like all of them are confused.
Piper (angry): Billie? What the hell have you done!
Billie (defenseless): Me? Nothing but good, I swear!
Another light appears and blinds all of them for a second.
Int. Courtroom
As they open her eyes again they realize that they are in a courtroom. Shocked and confused, they look at each other.
Paige: Looks like this whole day is full of surprises.
Piper (still angry and rolling her eyes): You know what? I’m getting tired of being everywhere else but San Francisco. Did we or didn’t we just save Avalon last week?
Voice (angry, loud): Silence!
All of them turn around and start looking for the source of the voice. Another light appears and exactly where the judge should sit a blue cloud appears, which takes a human form and wears a judge's robe. The Charmed Ones, Leo and Billie, are now looking into a blue cloud with a judge’s robe and the outer form of a human. Where his hands and face are supposed to be, there is smoke instead.
Judge: Herewith I affirm the Witch Trial of Billie Jenkins as open.
End Act One
Int. Manor
Int. Floor
Someone is knocking against the door. The knock is soft, and a few second later, Coop opens the door to the Manor. He enters and looks around.
Coop (nearly shouting): Phoebe? Piper? Paige? Leo? Is anyone here?
Wyatt (from the living room): No one’s here.
Int. Living Room
Coop enters the living room and sees Wyatt sitting on the floor looking at his brother. Coop smiles and then crouches down.
Coop (to Wyatt): Are you alone? Where are you mommy and daddy?
Wyatt looks like he is stumped for an answer.
Wyatt: I don’t know. They are gone.
Coop (nods): So where are they?
Int. Courtroom
Piper, Phoebe, Paige, Leo, Billie still look at each other.
Piper (angry): What are we doing here? Why did you bring us here?
Judge: Isn’t it quite obvious? We are here today to judge Billie Jenkins.
So, as he has spoken, the misty Judge takes its small hammer and slams it on his table. A light appears and Billie vanishes. A second later she reappears in some sort of metal cage near a bank which could be a jury box. The hammer makes a loud noise again and Leo disappears and reappears right in front of the Judge. The Judge looks at him.
Judge: Human, you have been chosen to be Billie’s defender. Here is the prosecutor.
The noise appears the third time and Dumain appears right to Leo’s side. Billie widens her eyes and jiggles on the stanchions.
Billie (furious): Dumain! You evil son of a bitch!
In the meantime Piper smiles for a second as Phoebe nips her at her side.
Phoebe (to Piper): Don’t do this Piper.
Piper (to Phoebe): We were looking for a punishment, now we have some.
Paige (loud, to the Judge): What is this all about and what do we have to do here?
The Judge looks at the Charmed Ones and shouts to them.
Judge: You have to sit.
He uses his hammer one more time and the Charmed Ones disappear and reappear at the back of the courtroom. The judge, instead, looks both sides and nods for a moment.
Judge: Looks like everyone is in position. We can start.
The hammer’s sound is heard again and a bunch of lights appears. The jury box starts to fill with some magical creatures. Among them are Elves, Wood Nymphs, Leprechauns, Trolls, and surprisingly, Helen and Carl Jenkins. Other lights appear and all the chairs and banks behind the Charmed Ones are now filled with people they have never met. In the meantime Billie looks at her parents and starts to cry.
Billie (desperate): Mom? Dad? Oh my god! How are you Mom? I’m so sorry what you had to die because of me. Dad? Don’t you recognize me? It’s me. It’s Billie!
Judge (to the jury): Remember not to talk to the accused one. (To Billie) Allow me to point out that you have the right to shut up. So shut up or I will make sure you can’t make any noise anymore.
Judge (to Leo and Dumain): I guess it’s about time we start. Dumain, how is the lawsuit?
Dumain stands up and begins to formulate all the crimes it seems Billie has committed. On the other side of the room the Charmed Ones are watching.
Phoebe (to Piper): Okay Piper, enough is enough. Can’t you do something?
Piper (to Phoebe): Like what?
Paige (giving her sister a little flap on her arm): Maybe something like, I don’t know, using you powers?
Piper rolls her eyes, than she closes them for a second and lifts up her hand to use her power of freezing. Phoebe and Paige look around.
Phoebe (to Piper): Why is your power not working? Can you orb Paige?
Paige concentrates on orbing. But her powers aren’t working just as Piper’s.
Paige: I can’t orb either.
Phoebe: This is just getting better and better.
Paige (shakes her head): I’ve got the feeling it will get better any second.
Phoebe (to Paige): Why?
Paige (to Phoebe): Look!
In that second Dumain takes place on his chair as does the Judge while the Jury looks at Billie.
Judge (to Billie): Billie Jenkins. Anything you want to add or comment?
Billie shakes her head.
Judge (to Billie): The lawsuit is about betraying the Charmed Ones, being responsible for the death of her own parents and, of course, killing a sister. In the following hours we will prove how guilty you really are for all those things and decide if you are allowed to live or die instantly.
Leo seems shocked as he looks at the sisters. They open their eyes in shock as well and look at each other. Piper stands up.
Piper (sternly): Okay that’s enough. What kind of a silly joke is this? If you ask me this whole thing here is just ridiculous and I have to insist that we are the Charmed Ones. We are the betrayed ones and it is up to us to decide how to punish Billie Jenkins.
Judge (sternly): That’s the point. It’s not up to you and be silent!
The Judge takes his hammer again, slams it on his desk and in that second a light appears and a piece of metal closes Piper mouth, so she can't make any sound at all. Piper takes place again, as Phoebe and Paige look at each other.
Phoebe (to Piper): Your plan wasn’t thought through, was it?
Paige (to Phoebe): So, we can’t use our powers or influence the Judge. All we can do is sit down and watch how this Judge maybe kills Billie in a couple of hours. Anything I forgot to mention?
Phoebe (to Paige): Yeah, you forgot the cavalry. There is still Coop and Henry somewhere. Maybe they can find a way to contact us, so we can speak to them and tell them what we're up against.
Paige nods and then gives Piper a little flap on her arm again.
Paige (to Piper): Piper, don’t be so calm.
But Piper looks explain a lot. Mostly that she is highly unimpressed.
Int. Manor
Int. Living room
Coop is still talking to the boys as Henry appears behind him.
Henry: Hey Coop!
Coop turns and sees Henry. After this he turns back to the Boys.
Coop: Hey.
Henry: Isn’t there any chance that you might have seen Paige?
Coop turns to Henry again.
Coop: No, but isn’t there any chance that you have might seen Phoebe too?
Henry: No.
Coop (nods and stands up): When something must have happened.
Henry: I don’t get it, why?
Coop: Because Piper, Phoebe, Paige, and Leo are gone. That’s why. Usually that means …
Henry: …something is wrong. Can I help somehow?
Coop: Yes you can. Take care of the boys while I go to the attic and look through the Book of Shadows.
Henry: So I stay down here with the boys and you will do all the research? No chance. Each of us will take care of one of the boys and we will all go upstairs together.
Coop: But you're just a human. Why do you want to help?
Henry: Because if I don't I will never know Paige as well as I want to.
Coop (nods): So, what we are waiting for?
Int. Courtroom
Judge (to Dumain): Who is your first witness, Mr. Dumain?
Phoebe (to Paige): Mr. Dumain?
Paige (rolls her eyes): Don’t take this too seriously, Pheebs. It all seems a little bit wacky, like it has jumped out of someone's head.
Dumain nods to the Judge and then nearly shouts.
Dumain: …and my first witness will be Piper Halliwell!
Piper, Phoebe and Paige widen her eyes again.
Paige (to Phoebe): I guess we could shoot Billie ourselves. It would be a more dignified way to die.
The judge uses his hammer again. Piper disappears and reappears in the witness box. A second later the piece of metal on her mouth vanishes and Piper has to take place as Dumain comes near her.
Dumain: Ms. Halliwell.
Piper (looking to Leo): Mrs. Halliwell, please.
Dumain turns to Leo for a second, smiles and turns back.
Dumain: Okay Mrs. Halliwell. In your own opinion, what kind of relationship do you have with Billie Jenkins?
Piper (smiles): A special one.
Dumain: Do I have to remind you that you are in court?
Judge (to Piper): Mrs. Halliwell, answer the question as honestly as possible or I will have to cast a truth spell on you.
Piper (to the Judge): Okay. (To Dumain) Our relationship is kinda messy lately.
Dumain (to Piper): Why? In your own words please.
Piper (wheezes): Think about it. There is this little girl, actually a new witch. She has no knowledge about anything. So we decided to train her and to protect her. After a few months we already saw her as a member of our family (Piper looks at Billie, who cries in her cage). And one day she founds her long lost sister. Just in a few weeks everything gets twisted up and this little witch turns her back on you. This little witch starts to think you are egotistic for wanting your family back and, although she had the same obsession for nearly a whole year. She finally teamed up with her sister and tried to kill my whole family. Did I mention already that she used my son to get the powers of the Hollow, a power that could have consumed everything?
Piper looks at Billie again.
Dumain: Thank you Mrs. Halliwell. That was all I wanted to hear.
But Piper isn’t finished for now.
Piper (shouting at Billie): What did you think Billie? Your sister is raised by demons for over fifteen years and then appears out of nowhere and tells you we're evil. You lived with her at Magic School. Did you forget that magic school was demon central for nearly a year too and then a former invisible friend of the past appears in a spooky dark room and you never thought that maybe Christy and Dumain could be the evil ones?
Piper instantly looks to the Judge.
Piper (to the Judge): I mean how naive is that?
Judge (to Piper): Thank you Mrs. Halliwell, but you’ve been dismissed already.
The Judge uses his hammer again and Piper appears between her sisters again, who looks a little bit pissed off at the moment.
Phoebe (to Piper): Piper, you were brilliant.
Paige (to Piper): If we had wanted Billie dead as fast as possible.
Piper (shocked): Damn.
Paige (to Piper): Don’t bother yourself, Piper. What’s done is done. While you were in the witness box Phoebe and I thought about our situation here. And we came to the conclusion that maybe magic can’t go out, only in.
Piper: Okay, but how’s that going to help us right now?
Phoebe: Well, Future Chris and future Wyatt told us that I could call for Coop in the future and I did it once already, right? So, what do you think?
Piper: I think you should give it a try. We may have nothing to lose. But what if Coop can’t get out of here either?
Phoebe: Then we have to deal with it and find another way.
Int. Manor
Int. Attic
Wyatt plays on the ground while Henry has Chris in his arms and Coop is still looking through the Book of Shadows. Henry passes next to Coop for the third time and turns away again.
Henry: So any luck?
Henry gets no answer… So he turns around again.
Henry (looking to Chris): Now he’s gone too.
Int. Courtroom
A fluffy heart appears right to Phoebe and a second later Coop materializes.
Coop (looking around): Where the hell am I?
Piper, Phoebe and Paige turn their heads to Coop.
Piper, Phoebe, Paige: Coop?
Phoebe (to Coop): Sit down fast, before the Judge notices you.
Coop (to Phoebe): Judge?
Paige (to Coop): Don’t ask.
Piper (to Coop): Paige is right. Are you able to teleport?
Coop looks at his ring. The ring starts glowing, as Coop starts nodding as well.
Coop (to The Charmed Ones): Looks like it. Why?
Phoebe (to Coop): Cause our powers are blocked. So how many of us can you take with you?
Coop (to Phoebe): I’m afraid I can only take one of you. I’m not a Whitelighter.
Phoebe grabs Coop's hand and looks deep in his eyes.
Phoebe (to Coop): So, take me.
Coop nods and in the blink of an eye Coop and Phoebe vanish in a lovely heart, as Coop usually does.
Then Paige turns to Piper.
Paige (to Piper): How is it possible that Coop can teleport, but I can’t orb?
Int. Manor
Int. Attic
Phoebe and Coop materialize right in front of the Book of Shadows. Hectically Phoebe starts flipping through the pages.
Phoebe (to herself): There has to be something in here.
Henry (to Phoebe): Is Paige with you?
Coop (to Henry): They all are. Phoebe, what’s going on and how did you get there?
Phoebe (looks up): I have no idea. One second we were talking to each other and the next, light appears and I was in some misty, cloudy place. Just a few seconds later the other ones appeared and after this the courtroom and all the other things you saw. But I just can’t tell you anything in detail. I need your help, because we are running out of time and Billie's life is in great danger.
Coop: What do you mean?
Phoebe (closing with book): Damn! There is nothing in here! What?
Coop: What do you mean Phoebe?
Phoebe (to Coop): Sorry, I wasn’t listening. If we can’t prove that Billie is innocent in some sort of way she will be killed off by the Judge.
Henry (to Phoebe): So what can we do?
Phoebe (smiles): I’m afraid you can do nothing. (Phoebe changes her look) But I might know who can. Coop can you please get my sister Paige?
Coop (to Phoebe): Why not Piper?
Phoebe (to Coop): Don’t ask questions, hurry up!
Int. Courtroom
Piper (to Paige): What's taking so long?
In that moment Coop appears.
Piper (to Coop): Where’s Phoebe?
Coop: She says she has some sort of an idea and she has sent me back to get Paige.
Piper (to Coop): Why only Paige? Who am I, the evil stepsister?
Coop grabs Paige’s hand and they disappear. Piper and Leo share a look as Dumain shouts.
Dumain: Now it’s about time. I think we need to hear something from one of her victims. Because of that I’m calling for Christy Jenkins.
Piper, Leo, and Billie look shocked.
Piper: What the hell?
Another light appears and Christy materializes in front of the witness box. Piper looks heavenwards.
Piper (whispers): Please! Hurry up!
End of Act 2:
Int. Bay Mirror
Int. Phoebes Office
A little knock is heard, followed by the entrance of Elise.
Elise: Phoebe? Are you there?
Elise looks around the office. She goes to Phoebe’s desk and takes a short look at her personal computer. She takes a seat at her desk and begins to look through her personal files.
Int. Manor
Int. Attic
Coop and Paige appear in the attic. Paige sees her sister and goes over to her.
Paige (to Phoebe): So, what is your plan Pheebs?
In that moment Paige’s hears an "ahem" from the background.
Henry: Hi honey.
Paige (to Henry): Hi honey.
Henry tries to get closer to Paige and kiss her, but she walks to the other side of Phoebe.
Paige (to Henry): Sorry honey, but we don't have much time right now. Phoebe, your plan?
Phoebe (looks at first to Henry then speaks to Paige): Do you remember the Tribunal?
Paige (to Phoebe): You mean the Tribunal where Gideon and Barbas once teamed up?
Phoebe (to Paige): Exactly. I always thought this is the official supernatural court. Or whatever you wanna call it.
Paige (nods): So, what are you thinking?
Phoebe (to Paige): Cause there is no information in the book, maybe the Tribunal knows something. So, orb!
Paige grabs Phoebe's hand and both of them orb out.
Int. Courtroom
Dumain stays in front of Christy. Christy seems to be a little bit confused and looks a few times to her parents who have been sitting in the jury's box since the beginning.
Dumain: Christy, would you please tell this jury how you died?
Christy looks to her parents again.
Helen Jenkins (to Christy): Sweetie, we already talked about that. You sister is responsible for all our deaths. You should tell the Judge.
Christy nods. Leo and Piper are still listening.
Dumain: Christy?
Christy: I died because of my sister.
Billy (shouting): You died because you tried to kill me and the sisters. It was only self-defense!
Judge (to Billie): Stay quiet Billie or I’ll do the same to you, as I did to Piper.
Dumain (to Judge): Thank you. (To Christy): So, how do you feel right now Christy?
Christy (sinks her head): I feel mostly sad and angry (Christy looks directly at Billie again). How could you do that to me, Billie? I was kidnapped as a little girl. While you lived a normal childhood I was raised by demons. I had to suffer unspeakable torments and at the moment I needed you the most, you betrayed me and allied yourself with the Charmed Ones.
Billie (to Christy, crying): Christy, you have to believe me. I wanted to save you, but I couldn’t get through to you. Have you any idea how hard it is to live with it? Have you any idea how hard it was to turn away from you and kill you? Have you any idea how hard it is to kill your own sister?
Judge (to Billie): I warned you!
The Judged uses his hammer and now Billie wears a piece of metal like Piper did. At the same time Piper is looking to Billie. Her face has changed in some way. It doesn’t look angry anymore. It looks like she is thinking about what Billie has just said.
Int. Tribunal’s Lair
Phoebe and Paige appear on the illuminated stage.
Phoebe: Anyone still here? Any demons or Elders?
Paige (to Phoebe): What are you trying to do?
Phoebe (to Paige): Call the Tribunal, of course.
Paige (rolls her eyes): But you’re going to need a spell.
Phoebe (to Paige): I don’t remember it.
Paige (to Phoebe): But I do. (Buddenly shouting): Di! Ecce Hora! Uxor Mea Me Necabit!
A breath of wind comes up and a few second later only one of the Tribunal members appears.
Phoebe (to the Tribunal): Are you an Elder or a demon?
Tribunal: That is not really your question, is it?
Paige (looks angry to Phoebe): Of course not. We need a little help with a friend of ours. She is in great danger right now.
Phoebe: It is about the witch Billie Jenkins. Have you agreed to any punishment of her?
Tribunal: I thought you were the ones deciding that.
Paige (whispers to Phoebe): Wow, they really are all-knowing.
Phoebe: So you didn’t do anything to her? Then, how is it possible that Billie is right now in some sort of supernatural court? Her life lies pretty much in our hands.
Tribunal: Who says she really is there?
Phoebe (first shares a look with Paige): What’s that supposed to mean?
Int. Manor
Int. Living Room
Coop comes downstairs from the attic as he sees Henry sitting on the couch beneath Wyatt and Chris.
Coop: Everything okay?
Henry shakes his head and looks to Coop for a short period of time.
Henry: Are you still a Cupid?
Coop: Of course I am.
Henry: So you know pretty much everything about love. Is that right?
Coop nods.
Henry: So, please tell me what is going on with Paige. One moment she loves me, the next she pushes me aside. What kind of problem does she have with me?
Coop: Why are you thinking like this?
Henry: Cause it has to be. Maybe we married too soon. Maybe …
Coop: Maybe you should forget about all the maybes and start thinking that it could have something to do with Paige herself.
Henry: Do you have any experience with women?
Coop (shrugs with his shoulders): I’m a cupid. I know everything about love.
Henry: Yeah, but have you had any experience with women yourself?
Coop: No.
Henry: So, who are you to give me advice?
Int. Courtroom
Piper is still listening as Phoebe and Paige orb in.
Piper: Any good news?
Phoebe (more to herself): Damn! I forgot to ask the Tribunal when I’m going to get my powers back.
Piper (to Phoebe): What?
Phoebe (nods): Our trip to Avalon reminded me of that.
Piper (to Paige): You two went to see the Tribunal? The same Tribunal Barbas tried to put against us?
Paige (nods): Yeah, yeah, we know. Piper, we were wrong the whole time.
Piper (to Phoebe): Translation please.
Phoebe (to Piper): She’s right. Think about it, what’s the first thing that went through your mind when we got here?
Piper: That all this is very silly and that it’s wacky and …
Paige (to Piper): That it could have jumped out of somebody’s mind?
Piper (looks shocked): You mean…
Phoebe (to Piper): Paige and I think that Billie’s sub-conscious may have used her power of projection to create all of this.
Piper: Is that really possible?
Paige (to Piper): Billie has the most powerful ability we've ever known. Everything she thinks of can come true.
Phoebe (to Piper): And our powers are tied to our emotions.
Piper: You mean her feeling of guilt became so strong that her power took over?
Phoebe (nods): And that’s why so many people are here. They're all people Billie has lost in the past and people that mean something to her.
Paige (to Piper): And that’s why our powers are blocked. So we have to see the whole show through.
On the other side of the court Dumain takes a seat.
Dumain: I guess I’m finished, so we can end this little play.
Judge (nods): Now the lawsuit is fully explained and it’s time for your defense, Billie Jenkins. Leo Wyatt, it is your turn.
Leo just stands up and wants to call his first witness, as the Judge uses his hammer and all the guests and the jury as well disappears in the same light they appeared once. Leo looks to each side.
Leo (to Judge): What is this about?
Judge: Mr. Leo Wyatt, your time is over.
Leo: What?
Judge: I came to a decision. I, the Judge, adjudge Billie Jenkins as guilty.
Leo: But you didn't even give me the chance to defend her.
Judge: The attachment takes place at midnight.
But at that second, the Judge uses his hammer once more. A light appears that blinds everyone.
Int. Manor
Int. Living Room
Everyone, including Leo, opens his eyes.
Leo: What has just happened?
Piper (to Leo): That wasn’t a supernatural court at all, Leo. Everything we all saw was Billie’s subconscious. And there wasn’t a judge either. The cloud could be the embodiment of Billie’s guilt.
Leo: And now?
Phoebe (to Leo): She never wanted to be spoken free of her guilt. I guess she only wanted us to see how hard it was for her to do what she has done.
Leo: And now?
Paige (to Leo): She dies.
End Act Three
Int. Manor
Int. Living room
Piper, Phoebe, Paige, and Leo are just realizing where they are as Piper runs to her boys and takes Chris on her arms.
Piper (to Chris): Oh my sweet little boy. Mommy has missed you so much.
Leo (takes Wyatt on his arm): Hey buddy, did you miss your daddy?
Wyatt starts to hug his daddy.
Phoebe: What are we going to do now?
Piper (turns to Phoebe): What kind of question is that? We'll save her.
Everyone looks at Piper with wide eyes.
Piper: Don’t give me that look. We have to save her, so I can kill her myself.
Piper, Leo and the boys go upstairs. In the Meantime, Coop looks at them and turns to Phoebe.
Coop (to Phoebe): Looks like my feeling wasn’t wrong after all.
Phoebe (to Coop): What feeling?
Coop (to Phoebe): That we wouldn't accomplish today’s goal and get our first date.
Phoebe (smiles, sinks her head for a moment): Yeah looks like it, but …
Coop (to Phoebe): The lives of the Charmed Ones are complicated.
Phoebe (smiles). Thanks for understanding.
Phoebe turns away from Coop and follows Piper and Leo. Coop turns away too and leaves the house. Paige and Henry still look at each other without saying a word.
Paige: Henry? Is everything alright?
Henry: You tell me.
Paige: What’s that supposed to mean?
Henry: I don’t know what I’m doing wrong the whole time Paige and I’m out of patience. I can’t stand it any longer. Please talk to me.
Paige: You told me what already. In fact, you told me that today, remember?
Henry: Did you?
Paige (nods): Okay. You earned it. It’s not like I don't love you anymore. It’s just sometimes …sometimes I get the feeling that I could explode at any minute. That’s all.
Henry (shocked): That’s all. It’s nice to know how you really feel about me.
Paige (shakes her head): NO! I don’t feel that way about you. It’s my fault that I feel that way. You have nothing to do with it. But sometimes I feel we might have married too early and I’m not quite sure if it was a good idea at all.
Henry: So you want a divorce?
Paige (shakes her head again): Of course not. We are married now and I don’t want to miss a day of it. It’s just that I have a problem with myself. I’m still on my quest for enlightenment. I have to find the real me.
Henry: So let me help you.
Paige: I’m afraid you may not be able to.
At this moment Phoebe shouts from upstairs.
Phoebe (to Paige): Paige? Would you come upstairs please?
Paige (takes Henry’s hand): Will you still be here when I come back?
Henry (looks into Paige's eyes): I don’t know. What you said just now hurts a lot.
Paige (nods): Please Henry. But I would also understand if you … I have to go.
Int. Courtroom
Piper, Phoebe, and Paige orb in. As they arrive all they see is a stormy place like Avalon was, but just in a few different ways. Billie is still caged. Suddenly she sees The Charmed Ones and shakes her head.
Billie (to The Charmed Ones): No, don’t come near me again. I’m guilty. I have caused so much pain and deaths. I have to die.
Phoebe (shouting): That’s not true and you know it. Billie, you can’t give up.
Billie still shakes her head as a bunch of demons appear out of nowhere.
Piper: Where do these demons come from?
Paige (to Piper): I guess it’s Billie, after all. She thinks she needs to die.
Piper (rolls her eyes): Then why are we the ones getting attacked?
More and more demons appear. Piper runs straight to them using her powers against them. One demon after the other is blown away. Phoebe also runs among them and start kicking demon ass. As Paige looks at Piper she sees a demon, who forms a fireball and tries to shoot it at Piper's back. Paige instantly calls for the fireball and flings it back at the demon. Paige runs to her sisters and takes both their hands.
Paige (to Piper and Phoebe): I’m sick of it. They won't stop until we free Billie.
Piper (to Paige): What do you want to do?
Paige (still grabbing her sisters):
Conceived foes no longer may you be,
Vanquished now through the Power of Three.
As Paige chants all demons explode at once. Piper turns to Billie’s cage and uses her exploding power to destroy it. Phoebe looks to every possible side but no new demons are coming up. Paige runs to Billie and starts to hold her in her arms.
Paige (to Billie): Is everything alright?
Billie seems to be really exhausted. Piper comes near Billie slowly. Her looks says pretty much everything. As Phoebe arrives next to Billie, the Judge appears in front of them all.
Judge: What are you doing? She has to die… and she will!
She judge's robe flies away and the blue mist start to generate some electricity in itself. Phoebe jumps over Paige and Billie and now stands between the Judge and Billie.
Phoebe (to the judge): If you really want to kill her you have to go through me.
The Judge stoops generating energy and takes form again.
Judge: So you really are on the side of this girl?
Phoebe (nods): Of course I am. She’s still a friend of mine.
Judge: Then use your power. See for yourself. See what she has done and then still call yourself her friend.
Phoebe shortly turns to Billie and back to the Judge.
Phoebe (to the Judge): You just want to distract me.
Judge: Maybe you are just scared of what you may see.
Phoebe (to the Judge): I’m not afraid of that. We all had our hard times.
Phoebe turns again to Billie. She goes to her and crouches beside her. She is about to touch her and she looks to the Judge one last time. She then touches Billie and gets sucked into a vision from the past.
Premonition: Phoebe sees how all of them were under control of the Hollow and how their beams collide. The major explosion follows. Piper is the first one who awakes and starts looking for her sisters. Phoebe sees how Piper finds her dead and how much that hurts her. She sees how Leo is brought back by the Angel of Destiny and she sees how Piper sees Billie for the first time. At last she sees how Piper jumps of Billie and tries to beat her to death.
Int. Misty, stormy land
Phoebe comes back from her premonition. At first she looks shocked in Billie's direction then to Piper. She can’t speak.
Phoebe (stammering): Now I understand what you must be going through.
Phoebe stands up and creates some space between her and Billie. It looks like she is disgusted with her. The judge loses his form again and starts to create electricity again, which probably is about to be used as Billie’s punishment.
Paige (looks to Piper): I can’t orb Piper.
Piper tries to freeze and blow the Judge up. But nothing works. The Judge collects all of his power. Piper looks over and over again to the Judge and Billie. She remembers what Billie has said and then she shouts:
Piper: Billie, I forgive you!
A light appears.
Int. Manor
Int. Attic
Piper, Phoebe, Paige and Billie are back in the attic. Piper looks at Leo and the boys. Phoebe instantly runs out of the attic.
Leo (to Piper): Looks like everything worked out.
Piper (nods): Can I have a minute with Billie alone?
Leo: Sure.
Paige, Leo and the boys leave the attic.
Int. Living room
Paige comes downstairs and she sees Henry.
Paige (laughs): You waited.
Henry: Of course I did. (He takes Paige's hand). We will work this out, together.
Paige smiles and kisses Henry’s hand after which they both orb out. Leo looks at his boys as he sees Phoebe pass by.
Leo (to Phoebe): What are you doing?
Phoebe: It’s not too late. Maybe Coop and I can still have our date.
Leo: Everything alright? You look so different?
Phoebe (nearly runs out of the door): Everything’s alright.
Int. Attic
Piper and Billie sit facing each other.
Piper: You know what this was today?
Billie: Not exactly.
Piper: Okay, so I'll tell you. What we’ve seem today is what guilt can do if it takes over our powers, especially if a witch has the power of projection.
Billie: And what will happen next?
Piper (grabs softly Billie’s hands):
I take your hand in mine,
And with this bond I will entwine.
Your power I will bind,
From now until,
It’s about time.
Piper and Billie hear a noise.
Billie: What have you done?
Piper: I have bound you projection power for your own good. I guess this is the punishment it had to be at the very beginning.
Billie: So, you still mad with me.
Piper: No, I said I forgive you and I meant it.
Billie: Then why are you punishing me?
Piper: Because you’re still a little girl inside. When you can handle it my spell will reverse itself, until then you will have only the ability of telekinesis to defend yourself.
Billie nods and stands up. She wants to leave the attic as Piper adds.
Piper: I have forgiven you, Billie. However, this doesn’t mean I have forgotten what you've done.
Billie: What’s that supposed to mean?
Piper: I guess my whole family needs some space. I would be thankful if you could give it to us for a while.
Int. Living Room
Piper and Billie come down, as Billie says goodbye to Leo and leaves the Manor. Piper goes to Leo and the boys and takes place on the sofa. Leo takes Piper in his arms and kisses her.
Leo: What did you say to her?
Piper: I said that I forgive her and that we need some space, a break from her.
Leo: Did you mean it?
Piper: Of course I did. I really forgive her. Put it this way. The whole time I was sitting in that crazy courtroom I realized more and more how much last year has cost Billie. I realized how much she already has suffered and I thought: “now, she's going to die too”. And I came to the conclusion that maybe if I had done what she did, would I end up in the same situation?
Leo (kisses Piper again): I guess you did a good job.
