So you have an Epi? I was thinking that I will never afford another 335, although they are my favorite guitars...so I was thinking about an Epi dot or Sheraton. Have you ever played one? You sound like you are very satisfied with the quality of your LP Epiphone. That makes me feel better.
I thought about getting the little Epiphone Valve Jr. for my son, along with a Squire Strat.
You may have listed your equipment somewhere else....if not tell me what kind of guitars and amps you have. Thanks Achim.

Yes, I own a Epi. The Epiphone Gothic LP II with tremolo, which is an amazing instrument but a bit heavy.
I like Epi. It´s really an alternative to the much more expensive Gibson Paulas....of course, it depends on what pickups you use and what sound you wanna create.
Have a black Squire Strat too, mate, i can totally recommend it for your son. You a good value for money here. The only thing I used to do is changing the pick ups into DiMarzio ones. But to be honest, I mainly use it for recording rhythm guitars. To play lead on the Strat, I prefer my sunburst one with 2 single coils and a humbucker, which has a lot more sharper edge in its sound than the regular 3 single coils.[/list]

I had a MIM Strat just recently, black with a white pickguard, that I was pretty happy with...you just have to have that Strat honk every now and then....but I had to sell all my equipment to fund medical bills. So I am starting from scratch again. I have played Stratocasters for so long, I'm not even sure I would be very comfortable playing anything else now, but I absolutely loved my 335 back in the day, and everytime I listen to my Larry Carlton DVD I want another one. LOL
I am thinking about getting one of those Crate Palomina V32s from Guitar Center. I have heard nothing but positive things from people, even though it is a Crate and I have never considered owning one before. It's a Class A amp, and supposedly is glassy and very clean, with a good overdrive in it, also. I just can't afford the equipment I want now, can't even save up for it - just too many things for a family man to buy these days if I ever get any money. But I have got to have a decent acoustic, electric, amp, and recorder.
I'm still looking forward to the CD of your music (and Cakewalk if you still are able to send it)....then you'll have to teach me patiently (or Susan, she is the technical one)!
I talked to Pete briefly, he seems like a nice guy.
I got JJ's CD...haven't heard it all yet. He is an excellent rock singer, but my only small critique is that it isn't in the mix as high as I would probably like it. Other than that, the dude is very talented....and a nice guy on top of it, too.
