Hi folks,
some of us experience some nasty lags atm. For me, personally, the game is not playable at the moment. I can craft, but leveling on mobs is dangerous, RvR is impossible...
As far as i know, the problem lies with the T-Online Internet-Provider and will be fixed in some time. I hope so... :wink:
If anyone else has the same problem (i know, pad, you have), stay calm and hope for the best...

no extra lag here, just did something wrong while trying out metty's launcher and upgraded to 1.84 :/

Yes i wrote in german Uhtgard Forum coz its just the german provider where the problems are.
Atm unplayable right i tried levling and RvR but so much freezes and lags you can forget atm.
Will see if the german provider makes a better routing to Uhtgard Server but i am not sure.

I just got kicked out by the game because the client stopped receiving data...that happened now some times since yesterday...
Atm it IS unplayable for me. Even crafting sucks, because the trade window with the merchants sometimes lags in a way...horrible.
I really hope the problem will be fixed in some way, for the simple reason that if not, it would be the end of my uthgard career... :?

Sad but true Kronos for me too i wrote in the Uthgard Forum if theres no other way to fix this i cant play Uthgard anymore. The lags counting two or three each minute and they are few seconds long so unplayable. If theres no way to fix i have to stop. I dont know how to make this better just asking Telekom if we can have better routing to Uthgards new server? I dont think they do that.

this afternoon i was in SB and had terrible lag too, somethimes for ten to 15 seconds... it happend 4 or 5 times and then got better, but still not as it used to be...
we have broadband and i was alone at home so lillian or did not use the connection..
when others are downloading here at home, it gives lag...
but this time it was the server lagging.

yeah some peoples have lags other not...
but it'll be fixed at one time or an other. maybe new version of the game... or don't know when but don't worry you won't stop daoc i think ^^

I hope so, but with every hour nothing changes, i loose some hope.
To be totally honest, if uthgard stays the way it is atm with the lags, i see no option but to leave till this problem is fixed.

this afternoon i was in SB and some funny things happened...
i logged in and al the mobs where there, i killed one and all of a sudden the room was empty, i relogged and the mobs where back.. killed two and again they dissapeared.. just the first mob i killed respawned, so i killed it too..
this went on and on, the moment a mob respawned all the others vanished, and while i killed the one they came back....
how it ended?
my backpack got full so i left to sell and tinker.. :lol:

btw, did some rvr in emain tonight and all went well, no lag at all
i realy hope they get that lag fixed for the players who have problems
it must be hell to wait a whole week and then get a crappy connection back instead of a fun server

Tried today again..not better. I buff myself just to test...connection was red...my buffs take about 3 sec in time to cast. Tried some locations and some more times still the same. Atn no more answers in forum...so i just have to stay off sorry.

i still miss presto for things like that, he reacted and was (maybe a bit too)human...
did u try to get answers on irc?
just sit and wayt must be very painfull but it's the only thing you can do apart from making a lot of noise on german uthgard forum and irc..
hope it gets fixed asap

Still nothing, Uthgard Staff continues it's no information policy... Not even time for ONE answer like "we're on it".
Game's not playable for me after morning hours, i have posted some Ping-Tracer analysis in the Uthgard forums.
Can't do anything more atm. I will take some vacation next week, i hope it will be fixed then.
If not, i'm sorry, but i will leave uthgard for sure.
Seeing me leaving will not really harm uthgard, i know, but i think i am not the only person to do so. As far as i know, there are at least half a dozend 50er atm involved... The one's not reporting in the forum not counted.
Sad time...

Heard the rumor, something will be changed/fixed in the next days. Maybe the lag will be gone then.

I thought so...at least in the morning it seemed alomst perfect. It IS a bit better, but today's evening really got me back to earth with a bang...
Had almost the same lags as before, made a pingplotting and had partially even worse packet losses...
Why couldn't they just stay at the old location... Everything was working fine... Until the server location was "improved".
Sorry guys, i am really pissed of. Not towards uthgard itself or the staff, but towards the situation itself... :cry:
Seems to be the end for me...:?
Anyone else with similar probs?

As for now, game is not playable for me. I will leave Uthgard until lags and PL are reduced to an acceptable level. 95% Packet Loss and 10+ Linkdeads in three hours are not what i want.
I wish you luck and fun in the game, at least the ones still able to play without lags...

Sorry panachier, the thing is (as it was some times now) that there's a whole news section just about this problem in the german part of uthgard forum. This time it is understandable, since the lags only affect german players.
It is a problem right now lots of people share. It is a local T-Online (main german internet provider) problem. It has absolutely nothing to do with me, my internet settings or my computer.
The affected people have packet loss over 90% in the telia network and now in the manitu (uth server) network as well. I am not a computer genius, not at all, but as i understand, there are some self made bottlenecks in the networks that lead to the problems. No one wants to be responsible for the problems, but i hope there will be some changes (it must be) - it's all about money, like always.
Right now over 50% of the german uthgard population can't play without massive lags.
So that's the current situation.

Damn why didnt they stay at the very first server. Nobody had problems with it. This brings me to the most important sentence (in job and in private life):

New server is less expensive.. If you want to pay the difference in comparison to the old, I think it would be ok.

Man my entire computer freezes when i have to load a brownie ...
Hope they fix it soon , cuz today I cleaned out my hard drive, Only thing on it is Anti spyware, Anti Virus and DAoC and it still lags like hell has frozen over

well, i know i posted something abouth my new computer rebooting randomly when i relogged or zoned, but i'm too lazy to find the post, i tought the video device driver caused that problem, but i used all possible drivers and the problem didn't go away..
at last i found out what caused the problem :lol:
i bought this computer with pre installed software, and there was a 3 month trial of Bullguard anti virus installed, two day ago i kicked Bullguard off and installed NOD32, since then my machine runs like 29 times faster and i havent got any reboots since..
oh man, this is heaven, it takes like 10 seconds to relog, you don't get time to pick your nose when zoning, and /qtd and relog other account goes so fast you can allmost have a conversation with the char you left to log out^^
just wanted to tell you that, bullguard smells, NOD32 is way better :wink:

hehe,i know this,was sumtimes the last days in same party as my /qtd char was^^ weird feeling,with my old machine (athlon 1600,512mb ram,64mb geforce 2) i sumtimes waited up to 2 minutes and more to zone..on my new laptop..everything runs so fking smooth ^^(ok,got a little hear prob sumtimes,but hey..thats worth it)
