the french blades are pretty much dead

only pana and me playing .. me is jeriondra brout..

the guild was created last december and i went to work for about 6 months

now i am back, new things all over uthgard, and TFB are mostly offline or playing somewhere else. i dont know...

if the guild still active in a couple of weeks, we will join the big alliance for better communication between realm members, regardless of other guild members think...

that's the way it should be at the first place...

i am willing to offer any help needed to support any supporting class that needs lvling. or whatsoever..

btw TFB was suppose to be a seperate section of the community, and it seems thats not the case nowadays...

people needs to know the real info well this is it ..!

if nobody of the french blades comes back i'd say the guild will be closed.
cause : only 2 active memebers atm.... can't considere this as an active guild

    Re: The French blades

    panachier - 01.10.2006, 18:01

lol jeriondra... so decisions without talking the others...?

there are stil players time to others... not a lot cause school begining, and server crashed these days, but for exemple i know archi is working with friends till next week. merry crashed pc so bought a new one and can't reinstal cause no more download free....

i don't know about the others but there are always time to others with less people on...

and there are still some united blades online too... usually we are at least 5 or 6 players online on a day

    Re: The French blades

    monty - 01.10.2006, 20:27

united blades are not dead yet
poplikant, geobinho, croand, monty, luv and lillian still active, and i'm shure i forgot some members too

lillian is having a hard time finding his ritme in shool and is too tired to play most of the time, but i know this is temporary and will get better soon..

luv is just online when other guildies are playing, so not very often these days

i play somethimes during the day, in the vening i have to devide my time between family, friends, work and daoc, not allway easy to balance

and the server going down for days gives a strange feeling so i think a lot of us don't play as often as we used to do.

closing tfb is not a good idea i think, but i would love to broaden the alliance we (UB) have with the french blades, i asked ethernal journey if they where interested, they are active and a friendly guild, so if pana is ok with that we could allie with them too, we (UB) have belgian, chech, canadian, dutch and ... players, FB have french and belgian players, so an alliance with hungarian players seems natural

maybe other guilds, who are ok with english as alliance language will ask to joint too, if you ask me they are welcome, just wonder what FB think...

maybe pana wants to make a code of honour who should be followed by guilds wanting to join the alliance? my email adress in on the forum, if you want me to translate from french i can do it for you

    monty

    Re: The French blades

    panachier - 02.10.2006, 03:37

french blades have not really leader, so it must be a decision comming from everybody, united blades too.. we'll see in game. but i'am open to everything that could do the things better.

if we do such an ally i think it wouldnt be the same that the one that is between UB and FB.

if guys wants to greykill or things like that, it's them problem and won't bring a bad picture on the others in the ally i think...

but should be better everybody on alb would be fair play and friendly for sure ^^

    Re: The French blades

    icemaker - 02.10.2006, 18:25

well first i didnt say that he united blades where dead i said french blades were pretty much dead... no download how did i get daoc if there were no download i didnt have it when i came back had to download so thats not really an excuse..

i think for the best interest for albion only.. why 2 different alliance chat

trying to ask people for taking a keep or a tower or inc in battle grounds
cant reach them all, just annoyoing to send /send XXX tower keep ? interested ?

second that way it would make life easier when u wanna reach some people

and what does it have to do with grey killing its only a chat !?!
ok alliance chat, but its just to make it easier tor each people when u need em

if i want it to be like that its because i have read on other forums that tfb didnt want to join the big alliance chat and i heard complain about it..
can i know why we didnt join ?

personnally i dont know the whole story but the way i see it , its like splitting albion in 2 :(

anyway think about it but i think its the best way to bring albs together
i read something else as well concerning english speaking in the alliance chat . that would be the only reason not to join the alliance chat if its not english speaking only..

    that's what i meant

    Re: The French blades

    Calin - 02.10.2006, 18:41

    Yes, Jeri

this forum has beed made to get Albion together. Albion was splited (i hope we are on the right way).

But I hadn't so much time last weaks (and now the server is offline  ) to organize a meeting with all guild leaders to make ONE ALBION ALLY including all Albion guilds... from a one-man-guild to the biggest guild in Albion, from the western to the eastern side of the world.

I would prefer ONE ALBION ALLY and i think the whole TC would like this too.

Maybe we get some answers from the other leaders and make a date to unite the 2 allys

    Re: The French blades

    panachier - 02.10.2006, 18:54

les absents ont toujours tord ^^

    to be short.

at the beginning united blades was done for the non-french players that wanted to join french blades. united and french blades would be like one and only guild. with one chat frech for french blades, one spaming chat for united blades ^^ and one english in ally. so the "rules" of french blades were the same for united. it's why i mean the actions did by one would effect the other guild. but with a all over alb it won't

but now it looks a bit different. french blades are less and less and united more and more.

the reason most of the french blades (me too) to not join the "big alb alliance" was:
in fact at this moment there were 2 ally in albion, one side the community, nachtfalkens, order of light; on the other dark blades and one other( i don't remember sry)
and choosing one side would be split much more albion and was better to stay neutral till not everybody would like to join the same ally.

now things look different. guilds disapeared, players too, etc.

    Re: The French blades

    monty - 02.10.2006, 19:12

calin, that's what i was trying to do, get as much guilds in the alliance as possible, because a lot of the players on albion are non german i wanted to make sure to get english speaking players in it, i still recall many evenings in braemar, wilton and emain when i asked mutiple times to speak english in grp chat and they just refused, and sometimes i did not gat any answer when i asked or said something... that's why i joined TFB, cause my french sucks but i can read it and understand it, when pana asked me to form a new guild with the few players of TFB that where not realy french speaking i aggreed and together with my 2 sons and 1 or 2 others we started UB.... now we have a very good understanding in the guild and most of the time we have a lot of fun and help each other a lot.

there are a few posibility's we can consider,

1 english alliance, only english in guild, grp and chatgrp spoken, and even cuco can make himselve clear in english, i know cause we had conversations before (alandrian was making fun of cuco's english but he was perfectly understandable to me)... this is the best option i think

2 we make a german alliance for the german players who don't want or are not able to write basic english, and a second international alliance. this would split albion in 2 camps but is still better than makeing a big alliance and chasing non german players away by using a language they don't understand (believe me, put 3 german players in a grp and you have a good chance they won't use english, it happened to me lots of times)

that's why i was asking pana to form an alliance with FB, UB and ETERNAL JOURNEY, to be sure to have some sort of a non german base alliance, if you have an alliance with 20+ active players maybe the others will listen to you,

i feel a lot of positive vibes on this alliance forum and everyone is using english, but a lot did not join yet, or join and don't post, so we have a long way to travel before albion will be united..

the great thing about this forum is: in game you feel less friction and find more open minded players, before, most of the players never heard of monty or never spoke to me cause they had the german forum and never read the english posts, so they never read my posts and did't know me... the last weeks things are different, i get more pm's, people are asking me to flech stuff, people are asking my twinks if monty can come to help in emain... AND they do it in english

    so stuff to think about

    monty

    Kronos - 05.10.2006, 18:32

Bah, i hate doing discussions in topics where they do not belong, but i have to say some words to the postings above.

I really really would hate to see two big alliances in Albion, an english one and an german one.
But on the other side, i do not have a perfect solution at hand that would work.

I my little head, i think about the following concept: Have ONE big alliance with the guilds that like to participate (and really participate in a spirit of communication and fairness).

Have the guild chats in the guild language (german, french, english or even mandorin ^^).

Have the alliance chat an english chat only. No more german, no more french.

Have in groups english chat the moment a none german or none french member enters.

Have the guilds stick to that rule and have them look after their members to follow that rule.

    Have fun together.

    It's a dream...

    Greetz,
    Kronos

    Re: The French blades

    monty - 05.10.2006, 18:55

you took the words right out of my mouth

what i mean is: if we can start with a non german backbone and invite the guilds that want to folow those simple rules, then most of the guilds will follow i hope.. and let the hardheads aside for now, maybe they will give in after a while

it's no use to get an alliance the way the uthgard forum is made, even in the english section some of them refuse to use english

i don't wan't people like that in our aliance at all

    monty

    Re: The French blades

    Poplik - 05.10.2006, 18:59

I think, the best solution would be alliance where everyone would speak czech, I have already started to teach united bladers some basics like "smrdí jako prdel" and stuff

    Re: The French blades

    Raven - 05.10.2006, 19:00

smrdí jako prdel <<<------ its smrdi jako prdl not prdEl , you tought le that

    Re: The French blades

i think the cross realmer are your best wapons.

till you don't know your enemy, you won't be able to fight them.

when i see peoples that even don't know the alb classes, i anderstand better why we have some problems.

maybe should i test some mids chars when i'll be 50
