    Intersting Disscion...
What I don't understand,I been pondering this, since the 2 yeat date for RTW is drawing Near, why did all these clans, that most of us STW or even MTW guys, including myself, that we known of,just "left" TW when RTW came out,and went to other games, or quit gaming all togeter because of real life issues. Assuming your ppl who started on RTW,you guys won't remember these clans,so just skip this part. remember FearfulWays or w/e they were called? they do WOW now,i checked their fourms. Remember Kenchikuka? they left, totally disappear. Remerber Mokum Knights? no more. my answer for them leaving is, they can't handle RTW. they are ,no offense, but they are those high uppers, those big high Honorable ppl who refuse to come on RTW, god forbid if they got to press the block button when a major flame war breaks out ( with me starting it or not  8) ). but Aonar (I think) from Kenchikuka said this ,and I totally argee with him, since I was checking their fourms cuz I was bored to death. here the setemer 10th 2005 post..and I quote

    "Greetings Kenchikuka,

I would just let you know that since RTW has turned you away from TW, you could be still active in MTW/VI.

I'm dissapointed over the fact that people who were associated with hisoricaly strategical game series, now play role playing and fantasy games? have I missed something here?

Those who are tired of TW overall I don't blame, but those who 'abandoned' TW only becaus of somekind of boycot or protest, becaus of RTW, you are those who I don't understand.
So many good players thrown their skills away, becaus of some boycot. This is sad to hear. MTW/VI is still doing well and recently a competition for MTW/VI, is in progress. Tomi is running it. 13 clan signed already and this are mainly all old clans, including those who went to RTW and now they have returned.

Subadai might reveal you more about me, who I am and why I' m so critical. By the way Subadai, insted of tag 'VorCid', you will be able to see me in lobby under tag 'Loinnreach'

Here is that game I've promised to post here. The only promissing game after TW series. Maybe many will meet there again.

    Take care wherever you are.

btw, don't bitch about how long this topic is. if FB can get away with wirting 4 paragraphs about wolves, I can write about ppl who don't play no more. :D :D

Well m8... i been around since STW and i knew most of the people/clans you talk about. It is quite simple... RTW sucks... totally blows... mtw was 10 times better. I still stayed active on this game though... mostly becouse i love the TW series. After a while i came to grudginly accept RTW. Many just upped and left... i don't blaim them. RTW is way more of a click fest/noob fest than mtw was. It relies way more on luck and less on skill and meneuvering...the key to winning in rtw is clicking the fastest... the key to winning in mtw was using your head. The killing speed/unit speed in RTW was so vastly different that it requires alot less thought and just more click click click i win. Ofc there are still masters at the rtw game but unlike in mtw they can loose alot more often... becouse the game is much more luck balanced than skill balanced. In mtw the masters of the game would not loose nearly as often as the masters of RTW would.

Others left for other reasons ofc... but what i stated were the main reasons most left. Why alot of them went to games like WOW though is beyond my reasoning... i never played the game but it looks like a little kids game to me.

MTW is by far superior...but in rtw i think they were just testing things and now that they realise they have failed.
Im hoping for something in medieval2 that will bring back all the old players...

Hmm, maybe you've just hit the nail on the head, maybe RTW isn't such a bad game like yall make out but compared to MTW, its not so good.

    I played Guild Wars and I hated it... AA,here I come :D :D
Yeah, I started on MTW, and I did notice a far bigger difference in RTW when I started in 04. alot of old ppl say they coming back for MTW2,but that what alot of clans said when RTW was coming out. "we going to move to RTW" and such, and when RTW came out, too many god damn noobs, and they just pick up and left, and only a few of the old clans,SA being one,BHC being another, and only few of the old players actualy deided to stay.

The debate over MTW and RTW has been done alot b4 now!!
I only played MTW online for a limited time b4 i moved on 2 RTW so im no expert on the comparison like Par!!

From wot ive seen MTW was for the true stratigicly minded where as RTW was fast and double click for the win!

Wen i first came 2 RTW i treated it like MTW, every game was like chess, move ur oppenant 2 1 side attack that side etc etc, until it became clear that all u needed 2 win was lots of cav, then it became borin, u didnt need 2 be good at strategy, just good at double clickin, which to me, is the reasons y some of the greats of MTW never bothered with RTW!

in RTW, just for a example

    Julii.vs. Scipii
lets say, 12.5K TWPL Rules. ok, my cav destroyers FB's cav, and I win. if your lose your cav, 90% of the time, you will lose unless you greece or the person you playing only got 3 units of 6 prae cav left which won't have much effect.

    Re: Intersting Disscion...

    Blacksox - 24.08.2006, 03:15

thats a lie. Lets take an average faction, say greece. Their only useable cav is greek cav and milita cav both will rout on contact with archers. That doesnt make them a bad faction by any means. You just have to be creative and find ways to win. Warman i seem to remember you challanging me to a game once then when i joined denarii was 100000. YOu took 10 compainons 8 spears and chared down a hill to beat me. Lets not talk stratagy m8.

should have taken time to read the rest of his two sentances before getting angry. Ok another example of crappy cav. Carthage. Their cav is average at best and with slingers you dont have terribly great archers but they are still a good faction. You can play them and win you just have to be willing to try. Its not as much strat as MTW its true but its not all click here click there engage. If you play like that you wont get terribly far.
