There is a way to clone in this game like in emerald and a way to get all three starters at the beggining. I will tell if some one post in this topic saying they want to know. I will tell them the answer in this topic so anyone else can see.

All right then listen up.This is much more simple than in Emerald.
Clone Pokemon
1# First save infront of a pc.
2#Next deposit the pokemon you want to clone with held with any items you want more of to.
3#Go to change box select any box when it says do you wan't to save select yes.
4# Now while the message(Saving, do not turn off the power) (trying to keep the secret safe) you must infact turn off the game boy.
5# When you turn it back on the pokemon you cloned should be in your party and it the box you put it into.
Note: this only works for Gold and Silver not Crystal.

Now for all the starters.
please note that i didn't come up with any of these and that this is simalar to clone pokemon trick,and only works in G/S, and you must just have been starting the game.Can't work in the middle of playing cause it would be too late.
1#When YOU JUST START TO BEGIN the game play until your about to select your first pokemon before you pick save and never safe again after that.
2#Now pick your pokemon, doesn't matter which your getting all of them.
3#Now play through the game until you can get poke balls and catch pokemon.
4# Now catch a pokemon(any)and do the clone pokemon trick and clone the starter.
5#If you did it right you will end up back at the table of pokemon.
You will have the starter you chose last time in your pc now chose another starter and repeat steps 2-4 once. Make sure you pick a starter you didn't chose. After you have two of the starters chose the last one you don't have and retrive the others from the pc and you have all three starters.
Have a good starter experence while starting the game!
