    Ok, thanks to barri, the whole of the Coral Clade will be participating in the war.

    What does this mean? --> we should have 3 BB5 and at this point i hear we have 2 CV5 and 1 more CV4 to fill the cap ships.

    We need 6 TW's simply to defend and provide a penalty to ships which might try to rush in. As previously mentioned in the maximus section, these shoudl use the longest range torps possible. not so much for the damage factor of hitting ships with torps, but because there is the psych factor of a big line of torps coming that will keep the enemy back.

    Now, that's 12 ships giving us 32 other spots.

    I say this: 12 AA ships for obvious reasons. The team that controlls the sky tends to win the match. This will also decrease the need for our team to put up fighters.

    10 US Baltimore class ships. I say balty because #1, it has space for competent AA guns, #2, provided the gunners are of lvl, a blockshooting balt is quite formidable to all other CA's, #3, and by far the Most important, balt carries 5 scout planes. These scouts will come in very handy by the end of the match.(Pensacola could be subed into this role also. It also has great AA, and great anti-ship guns with 5 scouts: it also holds more armor.)

    Provided Team NF doesn't limit premo ships, 10 moltke's with single 11's woudl be hard to beat. Here again, the 11" don't do much damage, and with only 4 ronds going up per-ship, they wouldn't be Suprmely effective, but the psyche factor of having shells landing all around you and beig likely out of range is enough to keep most anyone back. Also, I hear moltke holds great AA.


    Also, I had mentioned a Very dirty tactic previously in the maximus sections which might be appplyed here. When one thinks fleet war, and you think CV's, you immediately think "go for the CV first" which is good and noble. However, If our fleet could knock out an enemy BB5 within the first 5 min... If one of our CV equiped AP bombs rather than HE bombs it would be quite effective Vs. enemy BB's. As I said, knocking out one cap ship early can significantly change a battle as you all well know. hitting a CV early on is really nice, but i am willing to bet they won't be guarding their BB's to the same degree simply because nobody expects to see a fleet hit a BB with CV fire.

    Again, this is a dirty tactic, but it's a winning solution.






    SCOUTING::::

    In terms of scouting, set groups of 5 people will be identified to scout certain areas.

    Likely 4 main groups from CL's (if present) to BB's. there will be four main areas on the map starting in the center and moving west (provided we are on A.)

    Area 1= North 1/4th of map
    Area 2= North center 1/4th of map
    Area 3= South center 1/4th of map
    Area 4= Southern 1/4th of map.

    Scouts are to be alternated. Each person will be numbered, and will send up scouts consecutively. As in, 1 in the beginning, 2, 2 min into the match, 3 4 min into the match, 4, 6 min into match, 5, 8 min into match, etc.

    Also, when CV's are preped to send vast numbers of bombers up, we need to flood them wth planes #1 to confuse their AA ships, and #2 to take heat off of bombers. so CV should call for "scouts on CV." Here all available scouting ships should send up a scout if possible and send them over the enemy cv's just in front of our bombers... or possibly in the area when our bombers are flanking and coming in from the side. This should pull off their fighter cover and distract their AA ships giving us free reign to bomb them.

    Also up for debate is assembling a lone squad for a flanking maneuver.

    I'd say use no more than 8 ships here. No ship should go under 55 knts... likely all DD's but possibly CL's. these would be sent on a long mission up (or down) and around to the enemy. Not necessarily border humping, but staying very close to border in a line. The hope here is that they would not be spotted. If this is done, a good suicide mission with 4-5 (example) brooklyn class ships with 8 torpedo launchers could significantly damage an unsuspecting enemy... and also provide a very significant diversion for our bombers or possibly a BB push. There is also the off chance that their CV might get seperated which would be almost too good to be true.

    Opinions? We need to get a ship and name list as to who will be there ASAP. Our first battle with the AE fleet is Very soon. While a good number of those guys don't know which way is up, I do have great respect for a select few. so heads up.

    1. i really like the idea of having the fast rush with tb and db to the capital BB but like Hunter think we need to do it with fast loaded groups of 2 tb or db at 1 targets so that it really sink with that wave.

    2. Torping in fast and slow waves would be nice

    3. i have cv5 and bb5 and i have time^^

    4. we need good teamspeak training with short words

    5. we need Training like AW: CC vs ALL with some tactics training

    I think that i can be there if u need me.

    Cuz i quitted, its no more my Account but the new Owner (uels58) said to me that i can use it if i want to.

    So a lv86-87 UK crew with Vannguard, Nelson, Furious, Sirius AA and York can be there if needed.

    Here are my Ideas.

    I like Heros Tactic but i have something to say about it.

    I would like to have a fast first strike from our cvs with TB and DB groups with only 2 planes in it. Why? Its just a psychological attack on one of thier capital ship, but all squads must combine and hit only 1 target as soon as possible. 2 planes because i have the hope to get then through fast enough to be ahead of bigger fighter cover groups. The result would be, if i'm right, like: omg, how can they bomb so soon, they must be cheating, were lost! This might be exaggerated or overrated but it can make them fear us and step back.
    But this is only an idea.
    Another Idea:
    But now put a torpwall to the fast airstrike, coming next, first fast ones, then slow ones with more range - they see the first exploding and think that they are save and turn into the second ones - surprise!

    I also think that all ships must carry AA, this games are not used for leveling, they are used for fun and win.

    The CVs must know how to drop under the golden angle of the enemy AA and get back up to dive bomb altitude - try to fly over from broadside, then turn to rear and then attack.
    Also try to get combined TB and DB attacks on Ships like cubone (if there are some).

    Get together on Teamspeak, make it secure first with a password, only known by fleet-/clanmembers. Make short recognizable commands for TS or in Gametyping, like REF for a scout whos need of refueling. In the CW we must learn to add the Area of the scout like NW, EC (East Center).
    We have to figure that our imo.
    Also, i still like the Idea to have one "uber" Fighter-CV, but on the other hand, if it get sunks by whatever, it will hurt us to bad, do i like to have CVs with about 40-60% Fighters on Board, just to kill the enemy planes (bombers and scouts) first. Always have a CAP ( Combat air patrol eg Fighter Cover ) over the FRONT Line of ships, not only over the CVs, there you can put a second one if you like.

    Thats all for now, i think a bit over it.

    the plans sounds good, but it can always change during the battle. think of a second option..

    when will this be held? still no clue?

    i can be one of the balti's or which ever usa ship needed up to bb4.

    ermm and hunterhh tatic about de 2 bombers at 1st go.. but we need to consider the time taken for out cv to load those 2 bombers and to fly over to their cv directly at shortest path... is de time enuff for them to load 4 fighters and put them out in the air? and wad if our planes get AA down? if this tatic does not work they will have an advantage of planes in the air over ours for awhile which is not good :tot: jus some of my thoughts... maybe we can do some trial runs to see if hunterhh idea is feasible

    forget about this tactic....

    the 2 dbs are meat before they crossed the first shipline by enemy AA, and it dont take so much time to get up 5 fighters, but we lose the time for preparing our defence and postioning our fighters.

    BTW.: it would be nice to know which map we play...last time it was the isle map...but since than we get the option to change map in every area...so how will it run this time?
