I just noticed in Extra Extra a comment on the program.
Well, I completed reading my (gifted) copy from cover to cover today and found a couple of errors, that caused me a certain level of (ummm), (let's say) dissatisfaction.
And I quote of the HOME tour "heralded the return of Simply Red to the live circuit for a WORLDWIDE TOUR in 2003 which lasted ten months and took in Europe, South Africa, Latin America and the USA."
Yes, this did cause me an affront. :cry: Since when did these countries consisitute the WORLDWIDE? Yes, I realise it is credited to Brian Southall, not Simply Red. Yes, Yes. In my opinion, demonstrates where loyalties lie, or is that; money? Oops, I had an opinion. 8)
Oh yes, and just one more. Same page. Same paragraph. "At the heart of the tour was a series of nine one-off UK concerts in venues such as Cardiff Arena, Hyde Park...."
Simply Red must have planned more than one concert in Hyde Park. The one Sarah and I were going to, with front row seats, :-D was cancelled, :cry: due to the promoter deciding to go belly up. :x Hence we had the Simply Red party in London, on the same night, due to the cancellation. :D
So, did Simply Red have another concert in London in the summer of 2003? I'm interested to know. Unless this was 'Party In The Park'? Poetic Licence?
Trust us fans to know what is going on. You can't get away with anything, without us catching you out. :lol: :lol:
Love the pics too. :top Lots to scan tomorrow for placement on my desktop at work and give those at work something fresh to jibe me about.
