Naja...verkauft sich scheinbar besser (Auflage), als wenn man berichten würde, dass Jimmy den Kindern in Brasilien hilft...

Just bought the latest issue, available in the U.S., of British Classic
Rock Magazine Summer issue #96 and the cover story is "Sympathy for the
Devil, Jimmy Page, The Led Zeppelin Legend on devil worship, "Lucifer
Rising" and the dark side of rock" and have to say it is the most
interesting article associated with Led Zep I have read in several years.
Not the same recycled stories or rumours I usually see.......The little I
have read on the subject has been short mentions of Jimmy's involvement in
writing the film score for this movie and how he and K Anger had a falling
out etc.
This article gives a nice in depth background on all the characters, the
issues between Anger and Jimmy, a little background on how A. Crowley fits
in to the picture and info on who finally finished the Music score for the
film soundtrack, Bobby BeauSoleil. Article is 11 pages long with nice side
bar articles on B. BeauSoleil and on about the origin of the Swan Song Logo
and a full page interview with Jimmy on the subject.
Nice recent picture of Jimmy on the cover and a full page sitting photo of
Jimmy holding a recent issue Gibson Les Paul Black Beauty with Bigsby trem.
Since this is the first detailed article I have read on the subject I can't
comment on the accuracy of the facts, and there may be better articles out
there on this subject, but I found it fascinating and recommend it
highly... I know this mag can be found at Barnes and Noble and Borders so it
should not be too tough to find...........
BTW there is also an ad in the same mag for the release of the "Lucifer
Rising" Soundtrack with music by B. BeauSoleil...There is a 1cd and a
deluxe 2cd edition of the soundtrack. Too bad Jimmy's score was not
included in the set as it would have made a nice package............
Any suggestions on where to read more on this part of Zep history is
appreciated.............
