Hi Guys and Girls
Just as the title say what u think how many of us will go over to play ut2007? and will the whole clan like this..?
Im ready for this change and i think it will be loads of fun with new maps and the old ones will still be around and the instagib part is not changing really..!!!

Im with you on that Funtik i also only can play if my pc will support it and i think it wont..but nvm we will see when its realeased..
How u mean Frost duck automaticly? while shooting on them they duck or what?

UT2007 has great looks, And I think [GD] will become a clan who's players are active in 2k4 and 2k7.... Just spread the GD-illness (in a positive way) :D
Pc upgrade also necessary for me :(

I played ut99 alot ut2k3 not so much and ut2k4 as much as u know .. i think (with hardware in mind) i'll play ut2k7 and even if the early versions may not be/feel as good as 2k4 i suppose community will make it as good.
And hey i saw it on a quad sli system running really smooth *lol*
So ut2k7 and gothic3 are the only games i await at the moment

It´s like in an RPG
u can collect points, and with this points, u can "buy" new special... things
one of them is ducking automatically if someone is shooting on u

I think that's a particular mode you're referring to there. They originally were going to have a mode like that in UT2k3.
There are no RPG elements in normal modes as far as I'm aware.
I will be moving over to 2k7 when it arrives (next year atm). Unfortunately 2k4 will begin to die off other than ONS... which will probably stay quite popular for a while.
I don't like the dodge jumping removal and the shock rifle ROF decrease though :( Seems insta will become more a game of luck than skill with that. I do hope they fix the Shock bug with it not firing where the crosshair is though. Only happens if you use visible weapons and have it left or right handed. The Shock beam fires slightly off.

i cant make the tranfer yet my pc cant even support this 1 with everything on lowest its still a bit sluggish but im saving money to buy a new 1but i think ut2k7 will be good 4 all of us new people challenges wars
and more things to shoot at!!!!

i will make the transfer i have a new strong pc and i played all the UT games so far. i think we as an clan have little choise but to go to the 2007 game becuase at its release 2004 will slowly run empty and im not going down with the ship hehe. and better looking weapons more weapons better cars and graphics what would a like want to have more
i cant wait till 2007 releases.

2k7 is now coming out on the 3rd of November.
I would wait until the demo is out first. Try the demo and see how your computer handles the game. If it's rubbish then upgrade. At least you would be saving money by waiting :) Also remember that the UT games are more CPU intensive than GPU. So if you have a decent CPU then it'll probably run quite well.
I personally am hoping it will run on my machine as is. I'm really not fussed about nice graphics or anything that distracts from the core gameplay.

Hey all,
I've played ut99 for years and ut2k4 sins a year and a half now. But I still sometimes play ut99 and there are still clans and players playing ut99 That is 7 years now so I don't think ut2k4 will be gone in a short time.
Ut2k7 is a game that demands the best of todays hardware and there aren't many players that have a computer that will run this game smouth, on high settings.
So my honnest opinion is that I will wait untill the game is released and deside then if I want to play it or not. But I will definatly keep playing ut2k4 for the upcoming year. untill the clan is ready for the change :)

The thing is that UT99 was vastly more popular than 2k3 and 2k4. It's like CS... most people never jumped ship when the new one came out as:
a. The original ran on pretty much any computer out there and
b. The original was better.
I'm still one to say that UT99 was the best UT so far but alas I'm one of the few that moved to 2k3 when it came out. Most stayed with 99 or jumped ship to another game altogether.

I should clarify... UT99 was the best for me for NW and fun. 2k3 was the best for Insta ^^ 2k4 screwed up insta for lots of the 2k3 crowd. :cry:

2k4's insta isn't 'instant' firing. There is a slight delay which is apparent if you played insta heavily in 2k3. Loads of people noticed it when 2k4 came out and they had to adjust.

I thought it was all in peoples imaginations until I tried playing 2k3 again. Instant beams :)

I recon if you look at the specs for UT:

O/S: Windows® 95/98/2000/Windows® NT 4.0/Linux/Mac
Network and Internet Play: via TCP/IP (28.8K minimum speed)
Then take a look at the UT2004 Specks, (Minimum requirements)
CPU:Pentium III or AMD Athlon 1.0 GHz processor (Pentium® or AMD 1.2GHz or greater recommended)
Memory: 128MB RAM (256MB RAM or greater recommended)
Available HD Space: 5.5GB HDD space REQUIRED
CD-ROM Drive: 8X CD-ROM or DVD
Audio System: Windows® compatible sound card
Video System: 32 MB video card required (64 MB NVIDIA or ATI hardware T&L card recommended)
DirectX® version 9.0b (included on game disc)
My predictions would be on the lines of :
CPU: Arround the 2.0 AMD so thats like 1.5 Intell. but 64Bit would Rule.
Memory: We went from 32mb to 128mb So where looking at 512.
HDD Space: Arround the 8.5 to 10g, I say this due to my UT2K4 file size is at 10.2gig,
CDRom: I think this will be a dual DVD game..... Loads of stuff no one needs.
Audio: A working sound card will do Just fine.... But sorround will be sweeeet... Will *%&$ the living day lights out of anyone when a redeemer creeps up on you.
Video: This is what every one wants, the mid end atm is a GF 6800 or ATI 600, so i think your be looking at this....
DX9 or higher of course.. Not forgetting the best Mouse money can buy....
So there you have it..
My reasons: Why make a game that only the rich can play, not every one has the Best PC in the world although we all would like too.
Look at the market today and look at the minimum and Maximum CPU, Graphics card, Memory and HD you can get to build a PC for as little as possable, then make the game arround the midd section...
