Ein weiteres und letztes Mal darf sich Anton dieser Tage beim Reebok Eurocamp in Treviso den NBA Scouts präsentieren. Das Eurocamp ist die rennommierteste Pre-Draft-Veranstaltung in Europa und bringt die größten Talente Europas zusammen (und einige Spieler, deren Clubs / Vereine gute Connections haben). Die Analyse von Antons Spiel an Tag 1 bei realgm.com:

I really like this kid. He’s a natural point guard. He has a lot of size for a point at 6’3” and was able to get his shot off against each guard from the Black Team. He is a wise decision maker and was able to get into the head of Urazmanov a few times. He has a great understanding on both ends of the floor. He doesn’t make many mistakes and is a right place, right time type of passer. He won’t force a flashy pass but can make them if needed. Overall, he may not have the NBA potential teams may covet, but he can run a team and will be a solid point guard in Europe. If he progresses and plays at the pace and speed he was playing at in Game 1, he may get an NBA tryout with some team in his future.

King is going to be one of the players that will stand out at this camp, like Marcelo Gomes. He is a great defender and has lockdown capabilities, even in the NBA. He can play in transition and will not make a mistake. His shot has a lot of range to it. His lift and form on the jumper will give him a chance to be a decent NBA-range 3-point shooter, no matter where he plays ball. On his takes, he is very strong and uses his strength to protect the ball, force the contact and still be able to finish the play. He’s a very active 2/3 on both ends of the floor and reacts rather than thinks. If he can get some more shine, he may be a second round candidate next year, when he becomes automatically eligible.

Sljivancanin (I had to cut and paste his name) is a great off-the-ball player. He has quick feet and can fake his defender into going one way while he goes the other for the shot, like Reggie Miller did off screens. He is a pure shooter and can get his shot off whenever he pleases. He tried to be too flashy at times and it cost the Scarlet Team a couple of possession. He has a decent handle but tried to be too flashy by going around the back in the lane. Overall, Sljivancanin will be a nice 2 guard for Serbia, even though he is playing in Germany.

This is a kid to watch out for. When he figures out when to and not to be a flashy player, he’s going to be special. Even if it’s on the European level, he will find a way onto SportsCenter. He’s only 5’10”, but he’s fast as hell on both ends of the floor. He uses his size to get underneath his man on defense. He has a sick handle and has a full repertoire of moves he can go to. He was really impressive in the transition drills and looked very comfortable on the break and has a very nice pull-up jumper. But he does have his weaknesses.
As a PG, his decision making is very, very spotty. He has the talent and the ability to pass the rock anywhere, but chooses the wrong times to do it. He missed a few players on the break and tried to force it into them with no-look passes, which were stolen. He looks for his shot a little more than his teammates, but he knows how to get everyone where they are supposed to be. He’s athletic and can dunk, even though his hands are very small. Overall, the kid can play, but he needs to refine parts of his game to include more of a general’s approach to go along with his highlight-reel capabilities. He’s definitely a kid you are going to hear about in the future.

eine kurze bitte! Meine Kentnisse in Englisch sind nicht so berauschend!
Wenn ich den vorletzten Satz versuch zu lesen, dann verstehe ich das so, das Anton für die NBA warscheinlich zur Zeit noch nicht stark genug ist, aber innerhalbs Europas ein solider tragender Spieler werden kann?
Sagt mir bitte, in ein paar Worten (keine Romane) die Aussage über Anton in deutsch und ich würde mich freuen!

Hab grad keine Zeit zu übersetzen, habe es aber mal spaßeshalber von Babelfish (http://babelfish.altavista.com/) übersetzen lassen. Mit folgendem Ergebnis:
Anton Hammer, SEITE, Slowakei, Geißen, 1984. Ich mag wirklich dieses Zicklein. Er ist ein natürlicher Punktschutz. Er macht nicht viele Fehler und ist ein rechter Platz, rechte Zeitart des Passanten. Er zwingt nicht, einen flashy Durchlauf aber kann sie bilden, wenn es benötigt wird. Gesamt, kann er nicht das NBA haben, das mögliche Mannschaften begehren können, aber er kann eine Mannschaft laufen lassen und wird ein fester Punktschutz in Europa sein. Wenn er mit dem Schritt und der Geschwindigkeit weiterkommt und spielt, die er an in Spiel 1 spielte, kann er ein NBA tryout mit irgendeiner Mannschaft in seiner Zukunft erhalten.

So in etwa. Ansonsten werden die Qualitäten von Anton recht gut beschrieben. Er weiß auf beiden Seiten des Feldes was zu tun ist, kann gut passen und eine Mannschaft führen, macht insgesamt wenig Fehler. Fürdie NBA reicht es wahrscheinlich nicht, aber ein guter point guard in Europa. Aber vielleicht klappt es in deer Zukunft ja doch noch mit der NBA. Nichts genaues weiß man nicht, es wird noch gemunkelt und erforscht. Und irgendwann wird der MTV mal wieder Deutscher Meister. :lol:
