Not too sure about wellington parts as I havent had any experience with them I do see parts from a flying helpmet osygen mask there. The one square section of wood looks like it has a metal plate attached to it. Have you tried seeing if there is any writing on it?

The larger item looks like a snap from a pilots Irvin Parachite The smaller ones could be from a Leather helmet?
This is the larger item that might have writing on it that I was referring to..
Hope that helps?

Thank you,
But the second picture issen't a piece of wood. It's a kind of foil that is gold colored and it starts to fall apart.

Sorry Ray.. my spelling error there. I meant the dark material that is on the wood in that piece? It almost looks like a small dataplate

Hi all,
In my mind, yes, this is a Wellington.
I read in two photos at least this number,
285
Well, this is the codenumber of this type of bomber. So you surely found a Vickers Wellington.
Is it possible to know more about the wreckplace and so on?
Regards
Marco
PS: for instance, look at photo n.6.

Ray,
I am referring to the piece in the 3rd picture looks like a flat piece of wood with a metal plate on it.

PS: for instance, look at photo n.6.
It´s wellington X3408 75th squadron.
I´ve had contact with one survivor but he passed away a few weeks ago. The others died years back but I´ve been in contact with some family members so the story is nearly complete.

Ray, could it be part of the "window" anti radar jamming foil that was dropped during the war to confuse enemy radar?

Hi Ray
As others already wrote a/c parts starting with “ZG” and “285” are all Wellington. F.i. pictures no.6: 285 30 1151 and No.15: 285.33 1235. The triangle parts (pictures No. 4, 15, 116, 18 and 22) with rounded edges are connections for the bars of the typical geodetic construction of the fuselage, tail, wings etc of Wellington. The small part (picture No. 20) with “LIFT THE DOT” was used for parachute suitcases but also for other things like pockets etc. Picture No. 8 with Inspection stamp VABL (Vickers Armstrong BLackpool) means that this Wellington was built at Blackpool.
