Run it through AltaVista BabelFish--should get you mostly there. Something about soccer and Man United, prolly an old article, especially judging from the pics.

How would I go about doing that? Copy the article & paste it onto the website?

Yes, it's just some old stuff - mixed and shuffled to some kind of "new" article compatible with the all ubiquitously subject in Germany @ the moment: FOOTBALL.
There's not one new bit of information in it so translating it would be a bit of a waste of time ;)
Even the pics are old though nice.

Yes, I finally see that now - thanks! How do I go about translating - copy & paste the article onto that website you mentioned?

Here's a very rough translation:
Quote: Popstars at the ball: Mick Hucknall
Simply talk
Simply talking boss Mick Hucknall is moved after football. The proof for it: He tried in the 90's-years actually seriously to buy the association of its hometown Manchester. At all ManU is since Hucknalls childhood the most important association in its life. Its dream of the perfect Kick. Therefore there are also two versions for the origin of the volume name Simply talks. The official: "Simply talk" refers to Mick Hucknalls red hair. The unofficial: The red from ManU, the association color of Manchester United is meant.
Mick Hucknalls fussballerischer expert knowledge is in demand with the professionals. So he may take over the half time comment during the TV transmission of an important Manchester play already times. And Mick Hucknall with Simply has talks also in music football history written. With the opening celebration of the football European championship 1996 it stood in the old Londoner Wembley stadium with the official EM-hymn "incoming goods ' RH in This Together" on the stage.
"Picture Book"- a genuine milestone
1996: Mick Hucknall and the national player at that time Juergen Klinsmann
Its career as active sportsmen is not soon 46 years still for a long time terminated despite its. In the English "Soccer Six" Charity team it kickt successfully for the good purpose and before at least exactly the same many spectators such as David Beckham & CO. So for example with the international match of the Promi crews of England and Italy in May 2004, where Mick Hucknall forwards cut 50,000 spectators in the stadium and over eight million at the TV devices together Paul Gascoigne, Rod Stewart and Paul Young fought against Eros Ramazzotti, Zucchero & CO. The match in the kind million Franchi stadium in Florenz does not end with a 10:10 after penalty shootout and a victory for Hucknalls UK team – due to admittedly the completely correctly used Auswaertstorregel... ; -)
 Mick's new band: Simply Talk (yeah, I always knew he loves to talk!)

But these "translations" can be soooo funny
It's simply not possible to do a word by word translation from German to English.
-> spelling mistakes? ... don't get translated
-> words with a double meaning? ... ALWAYS get translated with the wrong meaning
-> words in other languages than source language? ... don't get translated
-> in German you can "compose" words by taking two or more words and putting them together as one new... these words won't get translated or will get translated in a wrong way (example: Wörter = words, Buch = book, Wörterbuch = dictionary -> and that's still an easy one)
-> German grammar is much more complex than the English. In English you have subjec-verb-object... and in German you can twirl everything around the verb
-> ... and the list goes on...
I'm pretty sure that it's just the same with other languages.

That's why German is the language of Philosophy... you can express concepts by composing words rather than expressing the same idea with long sentences.
Curiosity: is western philosophy a compulsory subject in German high schools?
It is in Italy, but when I say here in Britain that I studied it at University I get some very peculiar looks... :D
Well, I like it! 8)
