Does anyone know what this is from/for - picked up from an end of war UK disposal site.
It has several markings
Cast - 80877 with letters ACC in a large circle with a large letter A
stamped 195 T-6
Also
80879 and an inspectors stamp of a circle with a large B and 847

The round stamp (B647) indicated this part was made by Bendix.
This kind of stamps was found on fuel control of Allison J-33 turbojet engine.

Thanks Nils - my only concern with jet engine is that every other part in the dump was wartime ( pre 1945).
(Oxford, Tiger moth, B25, Bristol etc.)
But I agree it "looks" American rather than British.

Hello Brian, Bendix made turrets for B25s. It is also painted the same olive green as US turret interiors. There should be a photo somewhere.

Ian - thank you for responding.
After Nils confirmed Bendix - I thought of the Bendix turret.
Several of the spent link chutes from the same site were marked as B25 F and G's. Most were the same dimensions for a 50cal ( left and right hand)l - although some smaller ones looked to me 30 cal upper Bendix turret- when compared with photos.
I will trawl the images to see if I can see where it fits.

confirmed as upper casting of B25 Bendix upper turret.
