Thank you very much, Michi. It has work alright this time round :D but at least the words production and prevention culd be caught a few times lol that means the song and its title were supposed to really match togehter and carry a meaning hehe

You're right on the lyrics. For the 1997 Simply Red Information Service convention, Mick had us send in questions for him to answer at the convention. I was fortunate to have a couple of mine chosen, and one was what the hell the lyrics to this song were (I have the 7" single). When he answered it on the video, he admitted he didn't remember what they were or where he left the paper he'd written them on. So no, Mick can't even remember!!! :shock: Ah, the heady days of punk. *laughs*
Maybe there's footage from another track available? The rest of the Frantic Elevators tracks are easier to understand. :top

Very grateful thanks for posting this little gem to the forum. Well done for finding it. :top I'm one of the lucky ones with the original 7" recording so it was great to see this live clip. I'm not a lover of the punk phase but this is one that that can't be beaten - just for the amount of words Mick gets in there (at a guess around 240+ wpm for those of you who do/did shorthand) and each one prounounced correctly, if only we could hear them :!: Sorry folks, I can't pick out all of the words but think I've, got some phrases which might or might not be correct.

So, what would it be like if Mick decided to continue with a much more ROCK/PUNK style of music and the Frantic Elevators became as popular as Simply Red? Would you like it? I probably would like it because I do love punk music from the 70’s & 80’s. But I'm extremely glad he went more the for the soul/jazz/pop sound, which I love so much more than punk!!! If he went that way, we would have never heard his lovely voice singing all of those wonderful songs we all know & love. :D
And what the hell is he singing? :lol: Inquiring minds want to know!!! :roll:
