    Spawns by shrines
Should the yari cavalry and ninjas spanwed by the shrines give experience and gold to the enemy team when killed?
    Currently they give.

Yes. That they give exp is countered by the fact that where spawn shrines are built, there is usually a siege going on soon. Many siegers ==> many defenders ==> many people to share the exp with ==> less exp for each hero than they would get by farming a lane alone.

Yes, I think they should. I don't think it would be very fair to the other team if they didn't.

    Good points :D

I don't really know what I think yet, but here's something that could prove to be a problem: One team builds many shrines to do some good pushes. The other team simply refuses to play offensive and keeps defending brutally for a longlong time. Eventually they will have a lot more xp and money than the other team. Now they can get better items, more shrines, and easily overrun the enemy... Maybe give half xp and money?

Shrines aren't meant to be a Magic GG Button; you have to use them wisely. They are just like summons in that respect. Say you have raxed bottom but cannot take top. What you can do now is down one of the tower clusters in mid, then build a shrine at your corresponding dojo. You then continue to push top. They will find that it is no longer possible to leave mid without a hero, as your creeps will naturally push. The end result is that they need one guy (or a lot of mercs) to defend bot, which you have raxed, and another guy (or another lot of mercs) to defend mid. You should then be able to rax top with ease.

This is just an example, and I will concede that it may not seem that persuasive on paper. I can only say that I have used Shrines of Strength myself in many games, and I have never found them to backfire on me.

Also the thing Aray mentioned can never happen in a game. Well not never, but it would be weird. The reason is that shrines need honor, which can only be gotten by killing heros. Now if they get enough hero kills to build a ton of shrines, they are winning anyway, and no defending in the world will save the underleveled team of noobs from defeat. If a team can build a lot of shrines (and not just 4 or 5, not necessarily all spawn shrines) they are winning anyway, just from killing so many heros. If they get enough heros down during sieging to build many shrines, they will also kill a few towers.

Not entirely true. Perhaps the other team spent all their honour on items.

I agree that the scenario Aray proposes is highly unlikely, though, insofar as I have never seen it happen myself.

Currently what is perplexing me about the shrines is what the point is in having Strength and Ninja ones. There is little difference in funtion, it seems to me, but that the cavalry are slightly more powerful than the ninja.

Could somebody clarify for me what the purpose of the shrines of ninja is?

Let me save nooK some time:

Yeah, in 0.7, they fulfill exactly the same function, except cavs pwn and ninja really suck. This will be fixed in 0.8; as of the last beta I played, ninja have basically been given Faerie Fire, so they basically amplify the damage of your wave as opposed to cavalry's added tanking. It also means ninja will probably keep your creeps pushing, but cavs will be more useful ocne they hit the towers.

I find the ninja to actually be quite helpful...I unno. Maybe increase damage of samurai. They do attack faster. Also, they are more intimidating. I mean comon, they're ninja!!! But i always use shrines of night, I used shrine of strength once.

    +30% evasion for ninjas.

Ninja spawns no longer autocast Weak Spot even when autocast is off. Should work fine now.

Cool, neat that you managed that. Did you fix the problem with them losing their move orders after a manual cast, though?

BTW, I'm thinking that if you managed to sort out those issues, Weak Spot is now a lot better than it was before, so maybe the number value on that or the evasion should go down. 30% evasion seemed a good figure when Weak Spot was hit-and-miss/buggy, but with a fully-functioning Weak Spot, I'm thinking 30% evasion may mean no one will get cavs any more. . . .

    No it still happens.. :(

Oh. Hmmmmm. Is it really not possible to just have an attack ground option (targetted at the other end of the enemy base) issued after the spell is cast? Or something like that?

Nah for some strange unknown reason that doesn`t work.
