    Hero : Itako
    Oichi
    Itako - by tegeus

    Int Hero
    Role: Support/Pusher
    Stat Growth:

    Str: 16 + 1.5
    Int: 23 + 3.25
    Agi: 15 + 1.0

    Brethren's Protection
Oichi casts a magical barrier that defends her brethren from physical and magical attacks. Barrier life depends on the HP of

    the target

    Mana: 120/130/140/150/160
    Cooldown: 12/14/16/18/20
Duration: if the barrier has not been damage it will expire in 30 seconds all level

    "Hopeful protection, saved by aspiration"

Level 1: 24% of target's HP is the Barrier's Life
Level 2: 28% of target's HP is the Barrier's Life
Level 3: 32% of target's HP is the Barrier's Life
Level 4: 36% of target's HP is the Barrier's Life
Level 5: 40% of target's HP is the Barrier's Life

Example: 40% of 1000HP Yari samurai will make a 400HP barrier. When Yari samurai receive a 500 nuke damage, the barrier will

block it for 400 damage so Yari will receive 100 damage.

    Encourage
With her charismatic personality, Oichi has the ability to encourage warriors. Buff living units and ressurect dead units.

Ressurected units will GET the bonus damage and aspd.

    Mana: 160 all levels
    Cooldown: 30 seconds all levels
    Duration: Buffs, 14 seconds

"Giving up, an action I'm impossible to try"

Level 1: Maximum of 2 corpses revived. Increase damage by 4 and attackspeed by 9% of nearby living units
Level 2: Maximum of 3 corpses revived. Increase damage by 6 and attackspeed by 13% of nearby living units
Level 3: Maximum of 4 corpses revived. Increase damage by 8 and attackspeed by 17% of nearby living units
Level 4: Maximum of 5 corpses revived. Increase damage by 10 and attackspeed by 21% of nearby living units
Level 5: Maximum of 6 corpses revived. Increase damage by 12 and attackspeed by 25% of nearby living units

Notes: Ressurected units will return into its original player. So if you ressurect units owned by your clan, you can't

control them thus extending their pushing ability. Heroes will also get the bonus but can't be ressurected.

Tranquility <- (can't think of other name, though not a KotG ripoff)
Regenerates Hp of units in a fast rate within Oichi's Range while draining her mana. Walking fountain :P

    Mana: N/A (stated)
    Cooldown: N/A

"Hope is one of the greatest gift from heaven"

Level 1: 20HP/second, drains 10MP/second, AOE of 200 around her
Level 2: 25HP/second, drains 15MP/second, AOE of 230 around her
Level 3: 30HP/second, drains 20MP/second, AOE of 260 around her
Level 4: 35HP/second, drains 25MP/second, AOE of 290 around her
Level 5: 40HP/second, drains 30MP/second, AOE of 320 around her

Works like immolation but heal in effect. She will also benefit from the spell <-pending :)

    Devotion

Being a cheerful person, Oichi is willing to sacrifice herself for the sake of her brethren. Oichi takes the damage of her allied hero. Distance of devoting is 1000 units maximum.

    Mana: 200/220/240/260/280
    Cooldown: 40 all levels
Duration: 15 Seconds all levels, dispelled when Devoted unit and Oichi's distance exceed of 1000 units

Level 1: 100% damage into you taken by the unit that you have devoted
Level 2: 94% damage taken by the unit by the unit that you have devoted
Level 3: 88% damage taken by the unit by the unit that you have devoted
Level 4: 82% damage taken by the unit by the unit that you have devoted
Level 5: 76% damage taken by the unit by the unit that you have devoted

Example: you devote (L5) yourself to Yari Samurai and he take 500 damage BUT he will not take it and the damage that will be transferred to you will be 380.

    EDIT: changed the ultimate :)
please comment :) balance and concept

Let's try to stick to class names that would actually have had some meaning in feudal Japan, shall we? Not only is 'Kurerikku' gairaigo, the whole idea of the cleric in the sense that you use it was foreign to the era (and indeed only exists in fantasy), making it doubly anachronistic.

Fewer Japanese skill names too, please.

    Re: Hero : Itako

    Kouenzan - 06.06.2006, 13:42

the words after the skill names, those are the alternate names. Cleric or Nurse may do.

    Re: Hero : Itako

    Galefury - 06.06.2006, 13:47

Yes, fewer Japanese skill names. Also no rising cooldowns and rising mana costs with levels, except if the skill is somehow intended for that. If not just stick with the general trend of lowering or constant coolodowns and constant mana costs.

The first skill is nice, numbers can be tweaked but don't seem too bad (except for cooldown and mana cost).

Second, this would of course be quite overpowered. 22 damage, 35% attack speed and resurrection, wtf? Are you crazy? Just the damage alone would already be quite powerful. The Warlord's banner of honor for example will add 50% damage (which I think is already too much), and that would still be much less than 22 damage per spawn I think. Reduce it to reanimate effect maybe, already strong enough. Maybe add a small buff to the reanimated units instead of to living ones like it is now, but that buff shouldn't be too much. Maybe some magic resistance so they aren't instantly killed again.

Walking fountain, well. 60 HP per second is a lot. 75 mana is too. How about lowering both, but keeping the ratio the same?

I have no idea what the ultimate does. Seems overpowered though, especially on a support hero/siege. This can quickly make a hero who is trying to defend run away, and the cooldown is very low too. Probably it would be best to change it completely.

Or maybe just don't add the hero at all. Her purpose seems quite similar to the Warlord's, having a healing spell, damage ultimate, and mass buffing skills. Only real difference is barrier vs teppo.

Cleric is still inappropriate, and Nurse is so not cool for a hero. I suggest you revamp her to be an itako instead.

    Re: Hero : Itako

    Kouenzan - 06.06.2006, 14:12

banner of honor will be revamped :)

also, i have changed the ultimate so less similarity with the Warlord

    still remaking "Encourage"

    Re: Hero : Itako

    tegeus-Cromis - 06.06.2006, 20:29

Actually upon further thought, miko might be more appropriate. It is a little cliched though. :?

Okay, enough about the name. Sorry. :P Here's what I think of the skills:

Skill 1: Nice, but very powerful! I think you need to put a cap on the maximum damage it can block, or it will be crazy late game.

Skill 2: Nothing wrong here, but it is like a combination of the new Banner of Honour (according to what nooK has said) and the Scroll of Ghosts. I suggest removing this skill and substituting something more interesting--

    Pacifism

    Type: Active, single target debuff

Though a capable warrior in emergencies, the Miko prefers to avoid bloodshed. Opening a gate in her opponents' souls, she is able to sensitise them to the pain they are causing, hopefully dissuading them from fighting on. 10 second duration at all levels.

Level 1 - Target takes 10 damage every time it attacks.
Level 1 - Target takes 15 damage every time it attacks.
Level 1 - Target takes 20 damage every time it attacks.
Level 1 - Target takes 25 damage every time it attacks.
Level 1 - Target takes 30 damage every time it attacks.

Skill 3: No complaints here, but the AOE should remain constant. It will be quite useless for healing allies at level 1 otherwise. The increase in the amount healed is sufficient incentive to level it up, I think. It also needs a slight casting cost (reduce the drain appropriately to compensate).

Ulti: I have a more interesting and balanced suggestion: have the skill absorb a certain (increasing) percentage of the damage taken, but direct that damage to your mana pool instead of your HP pool (with the famage absorbed/mana lost ratio also improving with level). Basically, it will be a mana shield that you cast on other people. This would be much more practical. You should also be able to turn it off.

Hmm, I like this hero. I really like the second ability, and the third isn't too bad either. I like Tegeus' idea for the ultimate though, worth considering.

Interesting ability, would be even cooler with a short duration, well done :)

Don´t know about this one, I must think more about it ;)

She needs one damaging spell, even if she´s a supporter, I sugest switching this one with cromis idea.

Fits her theme very well, but maybe an ability like big bad vodoo would be even cooler.

    Overall:
Well done, your best hero till now, has a lot of potential. THUMBS UP!
