    Crash site of a british ariplane
    This morning we find a crash site of a english aircraft. From bullets we know that airpalne crashed in 1942 or after. Some idea about type of airplane?

    The part number "285" indicated a part of a Vickers Wellington aircraft, the digit "07" indicated a part from the outer wing section.

    Could you post the last part complete ?

    Hello again, three identifiable parts are: Picture 3, bomb release solenoid from a bomb rack, picture 10 is part of the engine cowling cooling gill control and 14 is the surround for a P4 compass. All the best, Ian.

    Hi !

    On photos #

    2/3 are parts from the wing / fuselage structure

    5 (left parts) are remains from the accumulator

    6 the Ref-No. 10L indicated parts from wireless

    9 parts with "40" after the 285 indicated parts from the exhaust

    11 looks like as a case of a gear



    Parts from further postings:

    Ref. No. 5D/706 is a external adapter from the fusing unit
    DRG No. L490901-A <BIRMAL> is a fusing unit
    Ref. No. 10A/12428 is a part from a wireless unit
    Ref.No. 6D/480 is a cutt-off valve MK.I (oxygen)
    Ref.No. 5x indicated Components Parts of Wiring Assemblies
    29085/47 is a part from gun turret

    10A12428 is one of the mounting blocks to hold the 1154/55 radios and transmitters.definately a wellington this one.
