Sadly you don't have anything which at first glance you can indentify the aircraft from.
The larger item is a US made bomb shackle, Type B-7 rated 100lb to 1100lb. They are common to all types of bomber aircraft.
The big clamp again is fairly common, from its size it looks like an oxygen bottle clamp.

This are a part from ammo feed tray.
See here:

The clamp with the part number GK32P1522-0 is a clamp from power plant (used at the air duct & intercooler) and indicated a B-24.
But we need more than this...
From this part please check if you find here a part number, but it looks it is not complete...

the 4 indicates this was manufactured in 1944. not much help i know but at least you can narrow down the crash to happening no earlier than 1944.
the S L is the mark for the St Louis Ordnance Plant, St Louis, MO

Hi.
The long thin strip with numbers on might be the indicator strip which would have been mounted next to the vertical glass tube for monitoring the fuel supply from the wing fuel cells. This unit was mounted on the aft bulkhead in the forward compartment.
Hope this helps.

@ all
thank u for ur help, maybe i can go there again and search for more parts !
are there no typcal parts for a spezification ?
What should i collect for best ?
i found another picture, but i havent the part at home cause it was too big and i was there by feet :-)
Re: crashed plane..need help

You can try to clean the strip, it is the only part you have post, which could help to identify the type of aircraft.
If you will go to the crash site again, you should collect every part you can carry. Parts made of aluminium or assembly parts are the best. Often identify the smallest parts the type of aircraft.
Parts we need, should have a part number or / and a inspector´s stamp (most in the near of the part number), or a assembly part (made of brass or aluminium).
If you post all the parts you have, we all will help.
When you use a metal detector, you should check if you need a permission from the authority (also from the owner of the property).
You can send (with PM) me the name and next village / city of the crash site , so I will check by database, maybe I find a notice. Please do not write the name of the crash site in your public postings.

Nils

HI!
U mean the strip with the numbers?
i think its something for the Altitude!
The Problem is that the aluminium parts are all burned down...
There are thousands of parts in this wood, its impossible to use the metal detector!
For the crash site i will send u a PM !
thanks all for help!

Hi,
yes, this are remains from the wing construction, you can also see the part of the insigna of the USAAF. Here you can find more part numbers....
Could you read the letter after the "32" on the part number ? It should be a "W" if it is a part from the wing, but it looks like than a other letter...

Nils

HI!
As soon as possible i will look again on the part!
but what says us this number?
Its possible to find out which plane it was with thi snumber ( i mean the crew..) ?
Re: crashed plane..need help
Roy N - 23.10.2009, 00:16
no, this is a standard part number and only identifies the type of aircraft and where the part would be on the located on the aircraft. All B24s should have the same number for this part.
Re: crashed plane..need help
Austrian - 23.10.2009, 23:02hmm
So its clear that it was an B24?
This helps me a far step..
Maybe somedays i find a part with a number which can tell me more..
for which parts i should search to get such a number?
greetz Christian
Re: crashed plane..need help
Roy N - 23.10.2009, 23:25
Yes Christian, this will be a B24. all parts that start with GK32 can only be from B24s.
it will be very hard to find a part that will identify the specific aircraft you have found.
the suggestions i make are to find parts with paint on them. later planes would not be painted on the outside. if you find parts with dark green or grey paint this would normally be built before 1944. they stopped using camouflage after that date. that might narrow down your search.
have you tried to find local people with knowledge of the crash or looked for records of local authorities?
Cheers
Roy

Hi all,
lots of parts look like parts that i found on a B24 crashsite.
Now i am wondering what kind of parts the parts are that i marked on the pictures.
The first one is a yellow part that is mounted with a rubber part on a alluminium plate.
http://img20.imageshack.us/i/flieger13.jpg/
The second part is piece of black some kind of asbest material.
I found two of these things.
http://img51.imageshack.us/i/flieger7.jpg/
I hope there is somebody who can tell me what it is.
Kind regards.

Hallo und guten Morgen!
Hier ein paar Bilder:
http://www.luftwaffe-bullet-board.com/viewtopic.php?t=14203
Anhand eurer Auskünfte kann ich ja schon mal sicher sein, daß es eine B-24 war.
Die Teile- Nr.: GK 32 W 20426 L
Bedeutet wohl: B-24 Wing .....1944.....Left ?
