    Iron plate
    Hello Friends,
looking for debris of a Us plane or drop tank we only found an iron metal plate with a wing on left side made of brass. Possibly symmetric wing on right side got lost.
Rivets are torn out on 3 edges, no number. Nothing special on the other side.
Any ideas what this was? WW I ??
    Thanks for answers.

    Hi dnalor

Where are you? Noting your ruler! I live in the Ribble Valley & know the locations of all the sites around here, which are you looking for? See website link below & email me direct if you wish.

    Hello Nick,
    thanks for answer,
so sorry that I have mislead you with my ruler, which was once a gift bought in UK.
My find comes from Tyrolean/South Tyrolean Dolomites nr. Toblach/Dobbiacco. The location is a steep high mountain valley, where no mechanic machines would ever been carried there. Part must have fallen from the sky. Nowadays all the ground is covered with stones, which hide parts seen in former times by hunters. German planes were there in the air during WWII, but I have a confirmed/researched crash site on the bottom of the valley too, B24 WWII.
    Congratulations on your book.
