I was thinking something like making it more about the war between the clans and so on. All games nowadays is just that the spawned units are meaningles almost, they just run towards the enemy and attack whatever comes in their way. The two clans could have sort of like morale that affected your troops performance. Lets say If you were losing, your troops morale would drop and lets say for example their attack speed or movement speed would drop a certain amount or they would start missing attack, kind of like as if they were panicking. It could include kind of a new area of importance that you would have to keep up your armys morale with different actions. For example simple actions like destroying enemy towers or killing heroes, entertaining your army with for example geishas that you could hire (men at war need some way to relax with  ). And then the enemy could pull off stunts that could lower your morale, like kill your teams heroes or the hired geishas, destroy a building etc. It could make it more strategic and offer more ways to disrupt your enemys play. And it could make the spawned units matter alot more. I know it would be very difficult to accomplish, but I think it hasn't been done in any Warcraft 3 mod so far, so it would be something original. You get my point? by the way hi nooK, excellent mod :)

Eh, giving army morale for stuff that is good anyway just means even more slippery slope. Especially bad would be hero kills affecting morale (they already give honor, exp and gold). Could speed up endgame, though.
Maybe just add morale for taking down both expos, not for other buildings. And introduce some additional stuff you can do. I like the Geishas, which would cost you money to improve the spawnies, and you would need to keep them alive. Maybe a shrine you could build, and some arbitrary quests you could do randomly or at certain points in time.
Like bringing food from the main base to a certain expo, if nobody does it in the time limit morale drops, if someone does it it rises. Or praying at a temple somewhere on the map to either increase your morale or lower enemy morale (by calling down a some catastrophic event on them). The quests should also have other effects imo, like a small monetary/item reward for the first suggestion, and lightning striking and killing a random enemy merc or damaging a building for the second one. Some quests should be available to both teams at once (the one with the temple for example, whoever gets there first and manages to channel for 10 seconds wins, for one team the prize is the positive effect on them, for the other team its the negative effect on the enemy). Others, like the first suggestion should only be available to one team at a time, or to both, but one team completing the quest shouldn't affect the other teams quest. Just add some variety
The events shouldn't be frequent enough that they don't seem like very big events, but rare enough and quick enough to complete that if just a single fast hero does them he still has time for other things.
Balance should imo be that if a team totally neglects morale it should lose, period (unless the enemy does, too, of course). If it just does some things to keep morale up it should be able to win even if the enemy focuses slightly on morale. If a team does everything it can to improve morale, yes, that should be a way to win the game, as an alternative to building spawn shrines and item whoring.
Overall a very good idea imo, which can be expanded quite nicely. I think there should be a parameter to switch if off, though, because such a feature certainly wouldn't be to the taste of everyone, and it might get boring/annoying over time. Also I don't think it should rank very high on the priority list IMO, making gameplay a bit more exciting should be first priority, then maybe more heros, then stuff like this.

Yes exactly what I was thinking. At least Galefury understands me. The food delivering idea I like. It could also include some new legends via the morale system. Something like hiring a strategist legend for your army to boost morale, or even a strategist hero. Who knows. And yes I definitely agree that first focus on basics, more heroes and stuff, and then tinker with things like this in later versions.

NO BATTLEFIELD GEISHA PLZ
Actually I am opposed to the whole idea. All this nonsense will only distract from the main point of an AOS. Questing is the only thing out of all that that I would not mind too much, as it would be pretty much entirely optional (that is, if completing the quests only benefits you and does not harm the enemy).

Sorry but I don´t like it, with the new terrain there will be enough action goign on, and such morale boosts also hinder a comeback.

Yeah, I'm sure it has uses, but the gist of it is the weak get weaker and the strong get stronger.

Btw, the Legends, to they give aura to units as well? Never checked ^^ Because that would count kinda like a moral as well. It should do :P

They only give their aura to units.
